I'm that way about their more punk side (what "true" fans would consider their best). I love their more genre bending stuff (Sandinista! and Combat Rock are my favs). "Magnificent Seven" is one of my 10 favorite songs ever.
@@PieBlaCon Yepppp, their first two records, the punk records are good, maybe even great, if you're into that straight punk sound. But London Calling, Sandinista, and Combat Rock all blow those first two records out of the water. Genre hopping madness and Sandinista being a triple album featuring everything from early hip hop to dub to rock stompers. Always recommend people check out the Mescaleros, Joe Strummer's band from the late 90s to the early 2000s, they put out three albums that are all fantastic, some of my fav albums ever made, more genre hopping goodness in the vein of the Clash's later work.
onr of the best bands in the world, for real. very influencial, for sure
não mentiu
No wonder I love the new iteration of Dirty Projectors. I literally love every album they mention.
Takin' notes. Thanks for this. The new DP music has been such a treat
Such a strange interview .... LUV their music!!!!!!
Dave is wearing a Richard Pictures shirt!
The most creative band of our generation. Bar none. 🎧

I don't get The Clash, I'm supposed to like them but they just don't do it for me
