OH MY GOD 100% THE SHADER AND SHAKE THING. I have really bad vision and astigmatism, so when the screen shakes all I see is a giant blur. I love it when a game has accessibility settings to turn off camera shaking like Celeste, or keeps the shaking to a minimum and only in certain places like hollow knight.
yeaj i struggle with vision too by far the worst offender here is the "glitch" shader imo, it literally just creates constant screenshake that you cant turn off in any way and the entire screen becomes un viewable
All your building guide levels are really insightful, and I'd love to see more of them! I know it's probably too ambitious, but I personally would love something like a mega-collection of editor information at all building levels. I haven't really ever touched the editor, because there's just really too much to digest, but something like a big timestamped video about everything about building would be really cool! And frankly, you're the only person I can listen to about the technical workings or mechanics of GD without becoming bored out of my mind.

@BondadPlays like he said in the end, rules are meant to be broken. yes, player locked camera CAN be done well, but 95% of the levels that use it end up being considerably worse because of it.
So if someone decides to make a level that goes against all of this, that means they have to break the last rule, and the only way to break that is to follow everything you just said, but that would be breaking the last rule when you're already breaking it, and... (Creator got sucked into a black hole)
@GDColon as a fan of the needle gameplay, I assure you that it feels way more fun and rewarding cheesing the hitbox by touching the side of the spike than just shrinking the spike and landing on the block.
