- My cover of "Tears Of..." from the 1999 Silent Hill game OST. This is the song which plays during the best (good+) ending. It also played over the end credits of the 2006 "Silent Hill" movie.

I personally think this is Akira Yamaoka's most beautiful and melancholy song of his Silent Hill work. I stuck closer to the original in this than my other SH covers. It's such a simple lovely tune that tinkering with it too much would wreck it. I filled it out with some bass, additional strings, and a bit of electric guitar.
I love it when people to stick to the original arrangement when covering a song ❤

Thanks! I recently replayed the original Silent Hill, which inspired me. I neglected the first game with my covers, only having done the one. I wanted to rectify that.
@@MarkLambertMusic The whole original trilogy is considered as one of the best Horror games of All time. Personally Silent Hill 2 is my favorite out of All of them, because of obvious reasons XD But I also really love Silent Hill 1. It has so much to it, but has a different whole vibe than SH2. And then comes SH3, personally a game I really like, but not as much as the others. But the soundtrack is also amazing. Especially "You're not Here" which is actually considered to be the best SH Soundtrack. Would also love to have a Cover of that Song! You got a lot of Talent and put so much thought into the whole process. Every Silent Hill Fan should be thankful to have some talented Fans in the community!👍
@@danixtendo6781 The original three are my favorite games ever, beyond just the music. SH2 is my favorite as well; that seems to be the popular consensus. All three games have different vibes to them that I enjoy. Agreed on SH3. Heather was my favorite protagonist of the three, but I just didn't get into the story as much. I still enjoyed it though.
Funny you should mention "You're Not Here". I actually did a cover of that and even uploaded it here, but I was never fully happy with it, and took it down after a short while. That was a few years ago now. I'm re-working it as we speak with a fresh perspective and after having a few more years of practice at this. It's coming along pretty well, so hopefully I can have it uploaded soon. It will be an instrumental version of course. I'm a fair singer, but I'm not even going to pretend that I could come close to replicating Mary Elizabeth McGlynn's performance.

@@MarkLambertMusic with the New speculations maybe we're finally getting a New instalment into the series. A complete New game or maybe a remake of SH2? Personally I hope they rather remake SH1 because SH2 would be Kind of dangerouse to remake I don't know XD It would be like working on the Mona Lisa XD Silent Hill 1 would benefit more in terms if remake Stuff.
