I've never done this before and thought a jig would be the perfect tool to make it less risky. No other videos showed someone using one, and here in this video you show one! Thank you!
Such a smart idea to cut hole, this is a great invention. Thank you so much for this video ❤! Not many girls doing construction, I am following your channel, giving me more confidence ❤
You are so welcome! Love to see and hear from women like you Emily! It’s a handy tool that gives you insurance that you’ll do a great job. I’ve used it a lot over the years. I freehand laminate but do this on stone.

nice video! i will be cutting my quartz in place soon. what happens if the lip of the SS sink is beneath the quartz? will the hole saw be able to cut the stainless as well?🤔🤔
@@DaruDhillon :sorry for the late reply, but i finally did it and the bit works like a dream. my measurement was just a tiny bit off and did clip the edge of the SS sink, but did grind through with NO issues! once done, the confidence your confidence is locked in to now drill for the soap dispenser and any "other kitchen toy"!! XOXO!! thx for a great vid!
Never go straight down on the cut, it should be a a slant first, then move to going straight down. les chance of the drill getting away from you going straight down. Now since using the jig, she avoided this, but, this is NOT the way without the jig. It's also called "well" or "water damn", not a jig.
1:25 also, another safety tip, long-haired people should have their hair tied back; 1- it keeps hair out of your face so you can see better; 2- lessens the chance of hair getting caught up in the tool

Good on you for doing it yourself. I haven’t tried drilling through SS without a metal blade. Let us know how it turns out!

Thank-you kindly Billy Zee :)

as an independent interviewer, i took your comments to heart when you said Barry Bonds made you nervous...
