I 1st applied for PIP on december 23rd 2019....I was declined then put in for a mandatory reconsideration then got declined for mandatory reconsideration...I left it 3-4months then re applied...the same happend I got declined...then put in for a mandatory reconsideration got declined again . this time I decided to go all the way and got solicitors involved and took it to a tribunal ..the amount of time this took was horrible and shocking ....I actually won my appeal at a tribunal on the 4th November 2022..and was awarded £8,542.00 in back pay I was awarded 345 amonth back dated from my original date of claim in 2019 of December and they also included rate of inflation into my backpay ...this was a horrible horrible process and there utterly shocking ....if any1 is reading this.....If u get declined...TAKE IT TO A TRIBUNAL more than 60% of all claims get over turned .
Doesn't that speak volumes about the whole system? That's disgusting. And think about it, just under 9k for 4 years isn't amazing money. People act like this is so much money...

great video :) It is easier to write on a separate A4 paper for each descriptor and if there has been no changes write in the form no change and ask them to refer to A4 paper answers where you can explain how each activity affects you with the health conditions you have. Always put your name and national insurance number on top of each paper. Just tell them honestly how you can do certain tasks and what help you need to complete the tasks , prompting, encouraging, supervision , the help you need to complete task to a reasonable standard. Hope this helps :)
Got my decision for mental health today and they scored me a 0 on everything I’m actually fuming! The way they have worded the letter makes them think I can do the things I can’t do! Wtf 😡 I’m going ti appeal but it’s really made my anxiety worse
So sorry to hear that I know exactly how you feel what you have to do if you haven’t done it so you have to request for the health professionals decision letter you know the one that you had with the health professional so you have to see what she wrote down while you had the assessment , and then you have to go for mandatory consideration. If you are, maybe need more time then just called them and let them know that you need more time and give them a reason so that way you you’ll be Covered and I don’t want to see anything negative but most of the time , the mandatory reconsideration decision isnot the best outcome so if , just in case, just prepared for Tribunal I know this is very daunting to go through all that.. is the least we can do for our self to be honest
They sent me form that was typed dated 3 April but I didn't receive it until 26th April, I filled it out and sent it back on 29th April using a first classed stamp, now today they sent a letter saying they didn't receive the form and my son's PIP has been cancelled
hi Marie, my first thought is that , because they have an automatic system ( I believe ) that it creates the respond after a specific amount of time.. now you might get another letter that they have already received the letter and they will look at it ... but what I would suggest you to do is to call them Monday morning and explained to them what you just told me so they can accept your delay .. also make sure to keep records , and everything you send to them by post sent it with a tracking number so you will know when was delivered
Hi all just a question. I received my PIP review/renewal Form today. After watching some youtube Videos, People suggesting : Just to write "no change" nothing else like " i am still struggling...... just no change. Is that right ??
hey .. thank you for reaching out .. what they are suggesting and I do as well in my last video that if you are getting already pip .. for example .. if you are getting 2 points for the question 5.. not if you say yes is been changes etc etc .. then check how many points are you going to get from that question .. is it will be just another 1 point( that will not affect my overall at all ) or is it a bigger point that is worth it .. I did that to the question that I don't believe they will change anything to my points .. but I did give details to the matters that was importantt for me .. and that gave me less stress and extra time for my assessment .. let me know if this was make sense if no t.. DM me and ill help you
@@jaynekittycat9252 I got a text every 3 months from them saying they are still looks looking at it, I got accepted for the upper rate (was on lower rate before) but only 4 points for mobility, I got my review backdated which is rare unless it was a change of circumstances, mine wasn't that's why I didn't appeal the mobility side, I could have lost the back pay...they only extended it for 12 months.
@@Jackhat369 I waited 4 months. I live in the Midlands. No assessment needed. Ongoing award. I was very relieved. They increased my mobility to enhanced. Daily living was still standard.
It seems not right for me as they were asking me questions like if I can cook or dress up or take a shower, I can do these things but I am not able to work because of a permanent injury in the knee and awful pain, I need pip because I can not work nor be on my feet for longer time, so I received no because I can cook , shower and dress up, lol, I CAN"T WORK, where is logic??
Hi, save a life when you send your letter you had to inform them like as the first time when you’re injured happens for example, when that happened, would you be able to cook? If so would you be able to move around the kitchen and use utensils and open cabinets and get spices And use knifes ? so if you can do that, then they will assume that you can walk. Therefore you can stand. This is how they review the circumstances. I know how frustrating that must be, but what I will say if you gonna reply, just make sure to send any evidence from health professionals, doctors, or Physio therapist, and so on plus if you don’t reapply and you want to appeal then go for it just make sure you have all this evidence in hand because you’re going to ask you. Also, when you had your assessment, did you manage to request your assessment report when you had your assessment? To check what you said and word she or he write on the paper is accurate
I checked the award on the dwp illnesses and conditions guidance 2 of the conditions have got indefinate award next to them. Yet here i am filling out a review i got standard for both. Now with my review i can add in the 2 strokes i had to. I dont think they follow there own guidance to be honest. Good vid m8 👍

I don’t know why they don’t valued the claimant’s credibility from the first place so they can save time, money instead of pushing us to go for that knowing that 90% of the time cis on claimant favour to say the least
