I have a 2022 F450 Platinum daily driver with a Kelderman 5-6 air suspension lift. I have a compound turbo kit making 825rwhp, I get on average 14 to 16 mpg if I keep my foot off the loud pedal. (goes down after that)
I don't worry about fuel mileage cause I'm driving what I wanted. So why complain about it, you're going to buy it anyway no matter the cost. The height and size you'll get use to driving it. My dad had a saying, "if you can't run with the big dawgs stay your ass on the porch."(it had a few expletives but you get the idea)
The moral is simple, if you're going to complain about the size, the ride and fuel mileage don't do it. There's positives and negatives to everything you do, but if you're doing what you want, the positives out weighs the negatives every time.

I agree with fuller , I have 2014 slt and had 6" procomp installed at dealer and it definitely improved ride quality. Everyone who rides in or drives it is impressed. After driving it, some friends went out and bought one themselves. Picking quality is everything. Over 100,000 miles and still don't need an alinement 70000 miles out of toyo rt 35x12.5x20... on my 2nd set now. I've dailyed it now for 8 years and no complaints. Never needed to use awesome warranty procomp offers free for life. Much better than gms warranty on its own parts.

@nickweaver9849 Good choice on the procomp, now 10 years later and mines been worth every penny. I only got stage one, so the dealer reused the factory control arms. It has been a pavement princess, so no need for the bells and whistles. Well congrats, I hope it's as hassle free as mine

If a lift was a option a 3 inch bds would be perfect and practical for my lifestyle. Hey a guy can dream. Thanks for another fire video.

I keep getting told I shouldn’t lift my truck 6” “because I use my truck as a truck.” This will be my first ever lift. I leveled my truck but I have every intention of still using my truck as a truck. I am not building a show truck, I take my truck off road and through the woods, I use it to haul trailers with my lawnmower and other utility trailer uses. I’m not building a show truck. Im not worried about getting my money back out of my truck because I plan on keeping it for a few years. I have a 2008 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3, anyone have any opinions?

    • @CustomOffsetsTV

It’s tough, it can get annoying throwing stuff up in the bed, or getting in and out of the truck some days. All depends on what you’re willing to put up with!

@@CustomOffsetsTV that does make sense. I want to do it for the experience. The hardest decision I’m making is whether or not I want to pay someone to do the lift so it isn’t my headache, or if I want to save the money and do it myself. I am mechanically inclined, plus I manufacture all the front and rear GM HD pickup axles where I work so I am not afraid to tackle the project, I just put a LOT of hours in at work!
