Christcenteredjenn I've asked my Mother many times a kid for various things, she would ask me have you asked God first. I would say no. she would tell me, go ask God first, wait for him to answer. Now forward this conversation years later. after some time, mature time, and growing up time, I mentioned that conversation to my Mother,she DID remember that. i asked her... why didn't you just give me an answer back when I was a kid. she said I did. I told you to ask God remember? I said yes. I said he didn't give me what I wanted either. then she said.. well.. if God didn't give you what you wanted when you were a kid, why should I ?. today those things I thought I couldn't live without,, I don't want them Now. my mom and God knew better than I did. I'm grown now. I thank God for his answers.
