This dance was really UNDERSCORD in my opinion. The beginning was so, so creative... and then Maisie has WOWED me with her technicality. TERRIFIC musicality, absolutely MAGNIFICENT footwork, lovely hip action and straightening of the legs... I didn't fined anything wrong with her footwork, for me it was pretty flawless, she really showed the understanding of the technicality of this dance. I could have watched this dance on and on... it reminded me of Jill Halfpenny's Cha Cha back in series 2. If I have to be picky, Maisie's arms movement was a bit incorrect, but other than that it was truly SUPERB! VERY CLOSE TO PERFECTION! Probably THE BEST CHA CHA EVER! JUST WOW!

I have watched this dance and the others she and Gorky have performed and I can honestly say this girl has it all amazing technique, hardworking,lovely to watch and totally underscored. She should not have been in the bottom two so grateful she was saved. It would have been a disaster if she had gone. 🤗😘❤️🙋♀️

I think Maisie is generally a nice person and she is a great dancer but I think it is unfair that she has dance experience and there are other people on the show which don’t have any dance experience at all.

Every single week i am in awe of how quickly Maisie is able to move specifically when she spins - the sheer speed that she gains is insane. This is a HARD song to cha-cha to so props to her for delivering. I just want to say that the fluidity in her upper half and her free arm placement are fantastic. The judges are being exceptionally nitpicky when it comes to Maisie and i wonder if that’s because she won CIN or whether they genuinely see her as a finalist and want her to be PERFECT by the time she gets there. There was something for me but i think it was atmosphere in the studio itself which of course is nothing that they can fix. 8/10

Jasmine, even though she's the best dancer, still doesn't mean the fact that she should be treated differently compared to others. And I'm just going to say it, Hrvy didn't deserve his 10 imao. Janette was doing most of the movements and when Hrvy nibbled with his feet when he was picking her up, of course the judge's couldn't see that, but when it comes to Maisie, she gets pointed out on a lot of things. It's not fair. Whenever I watch Maisie i can't see anything wrong with her feet or anything. Maisie deserved a 10.
The judges said she seemed slightly stiff in places she’s a bloody doll!! She was playing the part and they judges always go on about storyline so I think it was great
The character is secondary to the dance moves/technique. Also, Gorka was a doll as well and did not have the same stiffness.

WHO ON EARTH CHOOSES THESE SONGS?
Maisie genuinely has the potential to be one of the best female celebrities if not the best on the show technically. Her hip movement is proper Latin rotation. With Cha Cha, you do have to travel more at times and not too on the spot. Also you always hear it needs to be staccato but that doesn’t mean at times more robotic. There still has to be a flow especially in the time-steps and new yorkers. But she is a great dancer. 7

This was very underscored, Gorka has done 2 of the best ever cha chas ever on strictly, this one and his with Alexandra Burke, this is excellent 👌👌👌
I agree with another person on here that this song didn't fit the basic Cha-cha measure as Ranvir's did. However, the routine was exceptional. Her arm positions were so elegant that she didn't overextend as most celebs do. Like Ranvir, the execution could have been sharper when pointing the toes. Other than that, another solid routine from Miss Maisie. *8*

Maisie *WOWS* but for me, I think the song doesn't go for a Cha-Cha-Cha mood. But I think Craig was being harsh on her for giving a 7, because Maisie's arm movement was *chef's kiss* - with that considered, tonight for me is an 8💖.
She does an outstanding job every single week. Wasn't too keen on the theme though, Maisie has soo much potential and I would've liked to see more cha cha instead of the barbie robot stuff (I know I sound like Len but idc)
8 (Undermarked and too harshly criticised for the second week running imo. I thought she had some incredible hip action and timing. She's so neat and crisp and her timing is always immaculate which is absolutley brilliant to see every week. It's true that her upper body was a bit rigid when she should've had a little more fluidity, and that her legs should've been straighter on the walks but it was still fantastic!)

Ok I will say this, this had a great concept and I loved the Barbie and Ken reference. In terms of what I would say regarding the dance, there was so much content and loads of hip action, lots of snappiness and good footwork. The only thing I'd say is that the leg could have been a lot straighter and there could have been still a bit of grace in her lines when shes moving. Aside from that, a very good job.

I know nothing about technique but this wasn't exciting , it was either she was nervous or the song wasn't fitting or something else but I didn't like it
She said herself she was nervous, so i think it may have come across that way even though i personally loved it!
It didn't help that it was danced to a song called 'girls just wanna have fun' and she barely smiled once. Yes maybe it was a stylistic choice as she was supposed to be a barbie doll, but it was lifeless to me (much like a barbie doll) 😕

Gorka really can't catch a break with the judges/voters. The voters were horrible to Alexandra who really should have won her season and Maisie well.. judges really not voting strong for her.. sadly this is more a personality contest than a dancing competition so a 3rd rate dancer/celebrity will win this.
Young girl with danceability & loves performing is to some too good or "cocky" - Strictly misogyny - males with the same ability always get an easy ride. More than ever, we need to show young girls being confident & brilliant is fantastic, worth striving for. Shirley always goes gooey-eyed of male celebs. Her fawning of Max and HRVY this year.

What concept was Gorka going for here? The robotic movements at the beginning didn't match the dance at all, and I think Maisie's continued robotic expression took away from what should have been a very fun, cheeky number.
I can see what they were TRYING to do with the opening, but it didn't work for me, and the whole concept failed for me imo. The fact that she didn't smile whilst dancing to a song about girls just wanting to have fun - that fell super flat. She's a very good dancer but in this occasion it didn't come together for me

A diversity of talent. Some are natural dancers, others have to work hard for it? Absolutely shocking her and Max were in the bottom 2!
I can't deny I loved this. She has such beautiful finishes and her hip action is fast to say the least. She has such a unique way of creating a fast rhythm but clean. Yes the feet are still turned out and a bit sickle but I loved the energy and performance value. The robot section was nice and there was a good amount of basics. Lovely lock steps too 😊. Thought the performance was good and she is definitely a Latin girl. *9/10*

I LOVE Maisie, I've loved her every dance and she's growing beautifully as a dancer, she just has to master the fluidity within her entire body now! The judges are being VERY picky with her but she rises to the challenge every time. I can see how she can come across as 'cocky' when getting feedback but honestly to me it looks like she's listening intently and is a perfectionist so really wants to feel she's done her utmost. I look forward to what she brings next!

Everyone in this comment section well most of you lot have suddenly got your technical specs on. Whilst we have Jamie, Clara, Bill and HRVY making mistakes and not being technically perfect getting praises for apparently doing no wrong. Maisie was tremendous, but she could be exiting well before her due date due to people going absolutely nuts.

I thought the judges were harsh on her today but they were harsh on Hrvy and definitely harsh on Clara last week.
I think they just know that Maisie is the best and so they are getting pickier 😊
Ok I can't take this anymore honestly. I might just quit watching the show because of this. It's clear to see the judge's are being the most picky with Maisie. This deserved a 9 or even more. Her legs were absolutely phenomenal. But when it comes to Hrvy, the judge's are nothing wrong where Hrvy flips Janette up and his feet bobble. How did Hrvy's dance deserve a 10? This is outrageous. Janette is the one doing most of the dancing half the time. And when it comes to Bill and clara, they are apparently outstanding and don't point out their mistakes. I can't take this anymore. Bill missed a step in his dance but doesn't get pointed out on that, but when it comes to Maisie she does, so by no means does Hrvy and Bill get treated harshly. I hope she isn't in the dance off tonight, I swear to god. And Jamie gets an 8 from Craig for his dance? What the actual heck.

Problem is when you come out punching week one it automatically puts judges and viewers expectations way up there. It was good but week three doesn’t look any different to week one’s ability

So Caroline did the same leg extension and twirl for the fourth week, JJ (despite his disability, I think he dances admirably with it) kinda bored me in his routine overall and she gets put in the bottom? Idk I find her extremely endearing and to hate on her for confidence is so dumb. Would you rather she was shy and unsure?
An interesting choregraphed routine but I thought a classic Cha Cha would have been much better than the robotic moves, Cha Cha is difficult to pull off and I think the judges were a bit harsh on her tonight they were expecting her to be absolutely perfect each week with the steps and footwork and Everything, Maisie checked every box for this cha cha for me! Exceptional fluidity in the arms and legs maybe for a full score she could have really pulled the whole thing together with a little more cleaner and polished footwork but Excellent either way, 9!

Think if it wasn't for red tape shirley would be a lot more flexible. Do love the show, but sometimes I do feel theres a bit of bureaucracy of how the judges work and toeing the line too.

The only two things I did not like about this is the theme and the skirt she's wearing. I feel this is a lovely performance overall from her and Gorka.

It was definitely one of the most interesting cha-cha’s I’ve seen. I’ll say when she actually got into the rhythm she had a nice grove and action, it seems very natural for her. Now I’m but sure if it was the character choice of “Barbie”-esque choreography, but something about it was jarring. I feel like they may have been ever so slightly out of sync with each other because of it. (7)

The skit of her outfit is not forgiving as you can see everything. In Latin your thighs must touch to create hip action and this skirt shows that her thighs aren't touching at all but good job maisie, I like her x
