it is, after all, the Roman Catholic Church as the 1st claim. The amount of pagan rituals within the RC Church and subsequent follow-up sects is quite obvious, then throw in the need, desire, and want to vilify the Jewish truth we have what we have today with Evangelical-type thinking to pressure Jewish people to convert. Thank HaShem to people like Rabbi Singer and others for teaching the world about this.

I asked a pastor, why the followers of Jesus wrote the New Testament in Greek and not on Arameic or Hebrew as their native language was Arameic.
He said that most citizens of Judea spoke Greek, which I know is a lie from the pastor.
All I know is that if Jesus would had the intention to form a new religion like Christianity, Jesus and his followers would have done it in their native land and with their native language. There was no need to use the language of their oppressors and have the headquarters in Rome.

@alexxela8956 because Rome was a political power that wanted to conquer the entire world, and they used Christianity to keep people in submission under their political power. I found Joe Atwill's book "Caesar's Messiah," to offer an interesting case for Roman authorship of the Gospels. He believes the Gospels are a typology of Josephus's work, "War of the Jews." He noted that certain events described in the Gospels follow the same chronological sequence and locations to be exactly the same as they are recorded in "War of the Jews."
Atwill was initially dismissed by academic Biblical scholars from both Christian and non-Christian camps, but on closer examination, some of them saw that Atwill's notations of parallel times and places were consistent between both works. Atwill further speculated that these writings may have been intended initially for the amusement of the Flavian court as they recounted the exploits Vespasian and Titus as parodies. Then somewhere along the line, they saw these writings as useful tools of propaganda to pacify the peoples of the Eastern Mediterranean. The motive is certainly plausible. With the destruction of the Jewish nation, Jews were scattering to other parts of the region and beyond. What better way would there be than to marginalize them by converting non-Jewish people to a religion that supports Roman rule and chastises rebellious Jews?

    • @booksquid856
      @booksquid856 5 месяцев назад +12

I read this book as well. Even before I had read it, I had already come to recognize that the gospels contained satire and were used for a Roman political campaign. Atwill's work however opened the floodgates of understanding for just how rich and savant and yet sadistic the satire is.
The four canonical gospels as well as the "twin" (gospel of Thomas) are fully interconnected with the rest of Josephus' writing. Other texts that relay the same satiric message demonstrate how the themes were used to create more scriptures. However, the core canonical gospels are not written later than Josephus but rather are fully contemporary and interdependent texts, all of it meant to celebrate Titus' campaign against Judea...by telling a very darkly humorous and inverted history of the events.
This didn't require reinventing the wheel though. There were plenty of individuals in history claiming to be the hero god messiah and one that stood out tremendously in common conscience at that time was Julius Caesar whose death and effigy were very much a part of the symbolism.
Not only was the symbolism quote unoriginal, but the structure and function of Christianity already existed as the imperial cult long before Titus renewed it for the deification of his father and layered it with the myth of Jesus to punish the Jews. So although the average monk or priest or laymen is clueless, the Vatican certainly has known all along that the gospels were a myth about Titus. Just as the "New Christians" of the later inquisition were never far from libel and persecution, the very first "New Christians" became the so-called martyrs of Rome.... victims of the Roman Church itself. Most people don't realize the power Rome exerted over all religious life in the empire. Not only was this a dense religious bureaucracy but it was backed by military. Also important to note is that competing Roman families had competing cults...thus martyrs of Rome could also be found among Rome's own religions and own people.

Well, if he acknowledges Josephus, surely he noticed Josephus provided recorded of Jesus and called him the Christ - Antiquities of the Jews 18.3.3.
The fact that Caesar’s Messiah was written would affirm the New Testament. Rather than sticking to what was written in the Bible, they wandered into myths (2 Timothy 4:1-4).

    • @JohnHoulgate
      @JohnHoulgate 5 месяцев назад

@@johnmann8659 Are you kidding me? War of the Jews was written a good 20-25 years before Antiquities.
Josephus, before he became a turncoat, lived in Gallilee, became a rebel against Rome in Gallilee and was taken captive in Gallilee. Surely, he would have noted the thousands of people who became Jesus's disciples in Gallilee during his youth and beyond. There is not one mention of them, until we get to Antiquities of the Jews and it appears as an afterthought about some people he noticed in Rome. Most scholars agree that the mention of Jesus the Christ in Antiquities was likely a redaction, put there by Christian prelates.

    • @booksquid856
      @booksquid856 5 месяцев назад +3

@@johnmann8659 Perhaps you assume that the gospels were a separate writing from Josephus' other works? There is a lot of great discussion to be had, a whole world of it, when you realize the texts had the same general editor if not the same author. And there is even more to learn when placing this new understanding in the context of various pockets of civil unrest in the first century Roman empire.
And yes, that satiric accusation of the Jews following "myths" is an actual brag of the Flavians, who repeatedly used that key word to boast of how they forced Jews to worship Caesar through their Jesus myth. It really is a dark but fascinating literary adventure into ancient media propaganda...and the accompanying coliseum entertainment.

Pilate would not have tried to exonerate Jesus for the crime of sedition in real life. Pilate wouldn’t have acted towards a troublemaker like Jesus the way the New Testament portrays him as acting. Pilate would never have been that lenient towards someone who was a rebel-rouser. He would never have “washed his hands” and dismissed the whole affair. In real life, Pilate would have immediately executed Jesus without consulting the Sanhedrin or Herod first.

I know the truth about Ponsius Pilate. He actually killed a lot jewish men and many jewish men on the cross. The truth is that person who Ponsius Pilate killed on the cross on the hill Calavary on a Friday close to sunset and 99% of Jews thinked it was Josha, Jesus was actually another Jew student of that same Josha, Jesus student named Juda Ishkariot which was killed and Juda Ishkariot got the look and the voice under strange force to be same as Josha, Jesus. Real Josha, Jesus was never cought or killed by Jews or Romans because he runaway on time under strange force. Some and the same strange force tricked Juda Ishkariot and the Romans and the Jews and saved that Jew called Josha, Jesus. That is the reason why some people saw Josha, Jesus when all people hear and saw that he was killed. Because same strange force put real Josha, Jesus back to Jerusalem and after 3 days in Jerusalem the same strange force made Josha, Jesus runaway again and from that point that Josha, Jesus never has been seen or heared in the Jerusalem or on the Earth. That strange force which made Josha, Jesus runaway made before Elijah and Enoh to runaway from the Earth when people intend to kill them. So Enoh, Elijah and Josha had same that protection by strange force to not get killed.

*Jesus said* to those who crucified him: "Father forgive them for the know not what they do". So Jesus did not blame the Jews, not even the Jewish leaders who condemned him to death.
*Peter* made this statement on the day of Pentecost:
"Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it". "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ".
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then *Peter said* unto them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit; *For the promise is unto you, and to your children* , and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call". And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, "Save yourselves from this crooked generation".
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
So Peter did not condemn the Jews.
    *Paul* says:
"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved".
"God has not cast away his people".
So Paul did not condem the Jews.
It was not the Jewish people at large, but the Jewish leaders and those at the trial who said: "His blood be on us, and on our children."
So true Christianity does not condemn anyone. As Paul says:
"Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things".

When they came to the land of Italy, their error spread to the nearby city of Rome. This, above all else, is the main cause and reason that Rome and Edom are considered as one kingdom although they are different nations. In spite of that difference, they are related because of their uniformity of belief which makes them one people and one nation.

@electrophorouselectrica4601 The One True Creator G_d gave specific details to the Hebrew prophets about when the Real Messiach comes. No One! Especially the so-called "Jesus" has fulfilled any of them yet!
      1. When the Real Messiach comes, he will be a normal man from the line of David through Solomon and will sit on the throne of David and rule from there forever.
      *Obviously, that hasn't happened yet!
      2. When the Real Messiach comes, it will be at the End of Days.
      * Obviously, back then was not the End of Days!
      3. When the Real Messiach comes, the Temple will be rebuilt never to be destroyed again, and The Messiach will start the animal sacrifices in the Temple again.
      * The opposite happened back then! The very fact that the Temple isn't standing proves that the so-called "Jesus" is Not The Messiach!
      4. When the Real Messiach comes, Everyone around the world (including atheist) will know that he is The Messiach!
      * We KNOW that the so-called "Jesus" is Not The Messiach!
      5. When the Real Messiach comes, death will cease to exist.
      * Obviously, that hasn't happened yet either because so many people are still getting sick and dying.
      6. When the Real Messiach comes, there will be World Peace and weapons of war will be rebuilt into farming implements.
      * We're still waiting for that one!!!
      7. When the Real Messiach comes, Everyone around the world, from every language will grab the Jews and say "Now we know that we have inherited only lies and G_d has been with you Jews all along. Please 🙏 take us with you!"
      * We're still waiting for that one, too!!!
No where in the Torah/Tanach does it ever say that the Messiach will keep failing and have to come back again and again. According to Christianity, the so-called "Jesus" already came back a second time, but he still never fulfilled any of those Prophecies about the Real Messiach. So now Christians are waiting for a third coming. Christianity strikes out again!

@electrophorouselectrica4601 The Christian's bibles are just very badly mistranslated and corrupted versions of the Torah/Tanach (The Real Word of G_d) with a lot changed including names, a whole lot added, and a whole lot taken out. Everything that G_d said not to do, Christianity did! Christianity lies! NO Hebrew/Jew was ever named Jesus, nor John, nor especially James. There is no letter J in the Hebrew alephbet nor does any of the Hebrew letters even make a J sound. Try actually reading the scriptures where G_d gave the Torah and the Commandments to Mosche and the Children/Nation of Israel on Mt. Sinai. G_d specifically told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to Never veer to the right nor left of the Torah/Tanach! Never!!! Do you understand what that means? G_d also told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to Never accept anybody else's religion! Never!!! Do you understand what that means? The One True Creator G_d also warned not to add to, nor subtract from the Torah/Tanach, but Christianity did it anyway. Christianity adopted way too many idolatrous and pagan beliefs contrary to what The One True Creator G_d actually said. The One True Creator G_d specifically said in no uncertain terms that there is Only One G_d! And besides G_d there is NO OTHER SAVIOR! Christians are a blind people who have eyes and deaf ones who have ears!

5:49 Did Daniel consider the Babylonian and Persian Empires were there, while the one was and then the other became, because God wanted it that way?
    [Daniel 3:95]
91 Then Nabuchodonosor the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and said to his nobles: Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered the king, and said: True, O king. 92 He answered, and said: Behold I see four men loose, and walking in the midst of the fire, and there is no hurt in them, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. 93 Then Nabuchodonosor came to the door of the burning fiery furnace, and said: Sidrach, Misach, and Abdenago, ye servants of the most high God, go ye forth, and come. And immediately Sidrach, Misach, and Abdenago went out from the midst of the fire. 94 And the nobles, and the magistrates, and the judges, and the great men of the king being gathered together, considered these men, that the fire had no power on their bodies, and that not a hair of their head had been singed, nor their garments altered, nor the smell of the fire had passed on them. 95 Then Nabuchodonosor breaking forth, said: Blessed be the God of them, to wit, of Sidrach, Misach, and Abdenago, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that believed in him: and they changed the king's word, and delivered up their bodies that they might not serve, nor adore any god, except their own God
96 By me therefore this decree is made, that every people, tribe, and tongue, which shall speak blasphemy against the God of Sidrach, Misach, and Abdenago, shall be destroyed, and their houses laid waste: for there is no other God that can save in this manner. 97 Then the king promoted Sidrach, Misach, and Abdenago, in the province of Babylon. 98 Nabuchodonosor the king, to all peoples, nations, and tongues, that dwell in all the earth, peace be multiplied unto you. 99 The most high God hath wrought signs and wonders toward me. It hath seemed good to me therefore to publish 100 His signs, because they are great: and his wonders, because they are mighty: and his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his power to all generations.
For that matter, did Jeremias consider Jews ought to live like peaceful citizens in Babylon in anything that was not against their faith? That's what St. Paul is telling the first Catholics.

The Church started on the shores of the Galilee with 12 Jewish apostles who called themselves 'The Way' using a fish symbol to identify themselves. What the Romans did... Martin Luther attempted to correct. When believers were finally able to read the Bible for themselves, we arrived here to what we know Christianity to be. All this is consistent with secular scholarly (except the stuff on Paul). As far as my personal experience - I was raised by athiest/ultra liberal Catholics. I went to scripture classes at school and for a few years mass on Sundays. The Jews were never bought up. If you asked me as a child "who killed Jesus" I would have said "The Romans". My kids now goto a Protestant school. Its a really lovely school but there are some nutty evangelical elements to it. My son age 5 always gives his atheist dad updates on his theological development. The last one was "Dad, do you know the Romans killed Jesus". I bet if I asked him about the Jews he wouldn't know who they were. Wouldn't know Jesus was one. Most likely would know about Moses but its unlikely he would know if he predated or postdated Jesus. He might be exposed to some creationist nonsense thrown in to about Adam and Eve and Noah. I'm working hard to chuck critical thought and reason into their thinking to undo the mild religious indoctrination. I guess I detract, but my point is - at least in my western country, I was never exposed to any anti sematic indoctrination growing up. Which is a good thing. Even in my brief dalliance as a born again Protestant Christian at 15 and 16 the Jews in my church were held in high esteem. I think in the Christian west, things have changed for the better. In more ways than one - not just with Jews. My Protestant church initiated shared services with Catholics - that would have been utterly unheard of in my parents day.

Great video, thanks for sharing. It is evident that the authors of the four gospels lay down their own blame for the death of Jesus and all of it is at the feet of the Jewish authorities. Mark is the most subtle and John is the most flagrant. With the regard of the Roman Empire having invented Christianity, I have read the argument by some who label it "Caesar's Messiah." 5:31 Christian traditions about Pontius Pilate are divided.
Ethiopians consider him a saint. Others, among them some Catholis and Protestants of the Alpine region, consider him a suicide. The two are not compatible.
But even considering him as a saint has no bearing on his degree of guilt while doing this. He could have been the third most evil man in Jerusalem or even the universe that day (after Caiaphas and perhaps if Judas was alive, Judas ...) ... and he could have repented later and become a saint.
It's pretty clear his wife is a saint.

"The Way" is a Jewish Sect; we have the Essenes to thank as their expectations matched the ministry of Jesus of Nazareth - they were the first believers whereas the Pharisees & Sadducees were entrenched in the "verbal law" and rejected Him and so the NATION fell under a CURSE. PS: check-out the Dead Sea Scrolls (which G_d has preserved to show us "The Way" in these Last Days).

First of all, the area where the dead sea scrolls were found was occupied by more than one group and these were not equivalent. Secondly, not only were their sharp political divisions in Judea to begin with, but there is reason to believe that Rome's brutal authority persuaded people to choose sides quite differently once Titus/"Jesus" destroyed Jerusalem and torturously killed both old and young. And thirdly, there can be no doubt that a great many political and religious ideas of various factions of Judaism were used/abused to establish and celebrate the "Jesus"/Titus myth.

    1:40 Come on.
IN the Gospel, the Temple, which is collaborating closely with Rome, that's why the Court of the Gentiles was a bazaar both in the time when Jesus did the first cleansing, and again when he did the second cleansing, is the main culprit. Once you realise how much the temple was then collaborating with the Romans, its main guilt doesn't become a complete exoneration of the Romans, it's just that Pilate left it to _his_ Jews to decide. Hence the Temple makes the first move. By the way, those arresting Jesus must have been a not very well trained Temple guard. Had they been Roman soldiers, St. Peter would have been dead meat before his sword could touch the ear of Malchus, so, yes, the Temple did the first move.
Imagine a Mafia boss, and imagine he has a harlot. The real husband of the harlot turns up, tries to forgive his wife, tries to get her back. She ends up giving him up to be killed.
If the Mafia boss took no initiative, but totally left it to "his darling" to decide the matter, while being just a little bit discouraging about her getting back to hubby, does that exonerate him? No.
Let's be clear that from the year when Jesus starts to preach to the year of when the Apocalypse was written, Rome was ruled by a set of Mafia bosses, worse than Caesar and Augustus and worse than Nerva and follows up, dealing _very_ roughly with critics. In the year I mentioned, Tiberius had as protégé Sejanus, Sejanus also had a protégé, namely Pilate. So, Pilate was intimidating, provocative when he dared to, demur when it would cost him too much, but while Christians have often over the last century argued at this point "he couldn't afford an uprising" (that's crediting Tiberius with _lots_ of peace love, _lots_ of hatred of corruption), I think there is something else at work. He had personally "laboured" or "motivated" or whatever those in charge of the Temple. It was a matter of personal pride for him to see the priests could be mature enough to take the right decision, instead of for instance declaring:
"Yeshua seems to mean what he said, he said it twice -- sacrifice market is anywhere in Jerusalem, the animal is clean even if you buy it with Roman coins -- Court of the Gentiles is where Godfearing Gentiles can pray, since they cannot go into the Temple itself."
Declaring that after He had both been hailed like King Manasseh (this could have been compatible with Him replacing Herod, on popular demand, and ruling as a vassal of Rome, like Manasseh ruled as a vassal of Babylon, but Pilate did not necessarily know this), would certainly have displeased Pilate. But he didn't want to take the move. The temple did.
How about you get out of the harlot?
By the way, if you become Catholic, you might end up not identifying nationally as a "Jew" but as an "Ashkenaz Marrano" or "Israelite" or whatever. In the years just before the smoke mixed fog was clearing out in Rome, St. John, declared of those then maligning Christians, Jesus had told Him "they are not Jews" ... about a decade later when he wrote the Gospel, he however did refer to the enemies of Jesus as "the Jews" in the narrator voice. But he narrated a Jesus who used "the Jews" in a very different way.
    Synoptics : Priests and Scribes
    St. John : the Jews
    Synoptics : Pharisees and Sadducees
    St. John : the Jews
    Synoptics : the crowed
    St. John : the Jews
Synoptics, Jesus in St. John : the Jews
St. John, narrator : makes no mention except allowing Jesus to do so.

Are you familiar with the story of the inquisition and how "New Christians" were distrusted and persecuted? This was a repeat of the original scenario.
First of all, Rome wasn't as cohesive as anyone imagines in the first century, and various leading families competed with one another and sponsored/punished different religious cults. The Mafia ain't so new.
So the real first martyrs of the church were murdered by the church itself. Those of the surviving Jews that weren't tortuously killed by Titus after temple destruction were forced to convert to the imperial cult worship of Caesar Vespian/Father God. This was the birth of Christianity. Its structure and bureaucracy had existed long long before the Flavians revived it and added the Titus/Jesus myth to persecute the Jewish nation.

    • @booksquid856
      @booksquid856 5 месяцев назад +1

Rome was divided among competing ruling families who sponsored different cults. Titus simply revived the Roman cult of worship to Caesar after his father was deified. Those Jews whom he didn't kill immediately at the fall of Jerusalem were forcibly converted to his Christianity (Caesar worship) and then became the martyrs of Rome in the coliseum he built with the funds from the looting of Jerusalem. So the martyrs of the church were murdered by the church

Yes the Messiah, the only Messiah you'll ever have, was rejected by the Sadducee-Pharisee establishment. For them He came, to be their King. Him, to their (Judaist's) current embarrassment, they rejected. No, none of this started in Rome, but it in fact started inside the Second Temple in Jerusalem. Luke 1:11.

It is so easy to lie to people who do not know the true history. Roman religion at the beginning of the Roman Empire (27 BC - 476) was polytheistic and local. Each city worshipped its own set of gods and goddesses that had originally been derived from ancient Greece and become Romanized. This polis-religion was embedded in, and inseparable from, "the general structures of the ancient city; there was no religious identity separate from political or civic identity, and the essence of religion lay in ritual rather than belief".  Private religion and its public practices were under the control of public officials, primarily, the Senate. Religion was central to being Roman, its practices widespread, and intertwined with politics. Christians were persecuted, and usually locally, throughout the Roman Empire, beginning in the 1st century AD and ending in the 4th century. Originally a polytheistic empire in the traditions of Roman paganism and the Hellenistic religion, as Christianity spread through the empire, it came into ideological conflict with the imperial cult of ancient Rome. Pagan practices such as making sacrifices to the deified emperors or other gods were abhorrent to Christians as their beliefs prohibited idolatry. The state and other members of civic society punished Christians for treason, various rumored crimes, illegal assembly, and for introducing an alien cult that led to Roman apostasy. The first, localized Neronian persecution occurred under Emperor Nero in Rome. A more general persecution occurred during the reign of Marcus Aurelius. After a full, persecution resumed under Emperors Decius and Trebonianus Gallus (Yr. 251-253). Gallienus (Yr. 253-268), halted the persecutions. It is not very hard to find out the truth. The Colosseum stand as a symbol of Christian persecution.
