Thank you for another episode of your Grumpy Opinions. I have not watched any of S7-2 but always watch your video of each episode. Happy Hogmanay. 🎉

Just finished watching the episode. The Bree scenes have been feeling like they’re 10 seconds long 😭 I did enjoy this episode more than the last couple though for sure. Happy Hogmanay! 🎉

As always, you made me laugh. So, thank you for that. Gotta agree nothing is explained and so much doesn’t make sense, even to book readers. Instead of telling a cohesive story, the show runners seem to be cherry picking storylines from the books and interspersing them with show invented scenes, characters, and dialogue (case in point, the ridiculous “dinner with Washington” scene.) I am so disappointed in what they are doing with the whole Mac family story, which is actually the part of the story I find the most interesting right now. Oh well. We’ll see if the next two episodes make more sense. Happy New Year!

The Battle of Monmouth was fought in June 1778. The temp was 100F or 37.75 I think. The weather in the Mid-Atlantic region is hot and humid. There was light snow in this episode. The producers didn't even try to fake the battleground

Yeah, seems mad they didn't just rejiggle the timeline and make it a different battle to suit the winter weather.

I don't know what to say. I'm still watching despite the rushed storylines. One thing, Bree did call the cops. They couldn't see past what they thought was marital discord.
    Happy Hogmanay!

      Thanks, you too!
Yeah, she called last time and sure they were dismissive, but this is what I mean about now you've got two adult witnesses and multiple guys in black masks. I mean... maybe it's just me but I think that's when you say, Go back to the cops. I just felt the whole thing was convenience rather than common sense, and it's rushed to heck.

Pay close attention to the face of the man that Bree pulled the mask off of!!

The story with the police was nonsense, surely if Brianna told the police her son had been kidnapped detectives would interview Jem in the presence of Brianna and the policewoman who took the children into the caravan. Meanwhile the two plods who were busy deriding Brianna would be part of the manhunt for Rob. The 1980s weren't the middle ages 😂
