how about cuting lcd legs in the middle and connecing them with 2 sided header or cuting them close to the board and soldering a header on the good one and just plugging the screen in?
If the Hakko didn’t make it so easy, that’s a great idea to keep from lifting pc traces! Using the Hakko, the old LCD came out so easily I was surprised!
@@tyrueiI good to hear, i always fear overheating things while desoldering, mostly because i use desoldering brade (or a piece of stranded wire ) i got good at it but yes desoldering gun is no contest
Can you just use that entire front panel as is? It looks so clean.
I wish I could but the “new one” has some sticking switches and other issues
