Is yield and quality are same ?
Ex..
100 kg produced .
2kg rework
Final output 90 ( 8kg loss )
So Quality is calculated as
90/100 or 98/ 100

Because in every production there will be loss due to wastage.

Yes there will be always loss, but our target must be to reduce it

What is the meaning of bottle neck equipment in pharma industry

You will understand with below example
"A" machine produces 1000nos/hr
"B" machine produces 500nos/hr
Material flow from machine A to B
So while processing material gets dump at machine B causing production loss
Here machine B is a Bottle neck.

Machine cycle time represents the actual time it takes for one machine to complete all of its operations on one piece, product etc.
E.g. If A machine produces 50 nos. Per minute and 60 second in a minute
It's cycle time will be as 60/50=1.2
So one product cycle time will be 1.2 second
Or other method to calculate cycle time is
1. Start stopwatch
2.record time from picking product upto taking off it from machine after completing it's operation
3. This will be the time required a product to complete it's operation which will be the cycle time
Note: Mention cycle time in second in Excel file
