The tambourine got Lex's attention, the vocals got immediate approval, "yeahhh", and the dance moves started shortly after that. Fun reaction guys. Brad, keep an eye on those mate poachers, you've got a real good one.
I just love your reaction. Brads typical "analytical" face, breaking into every word of the lyrics while Lex is sucking up the mood, feeling the vibes and having lots of fun.
Brad's "mate-poachin'" story was killin' me! Dude, I've watched a lot of reaction channels and I've never seen a woman like Lex gettin' down with the music. You two are are a fantastic couple. Very fun to watch! Brad, keep punching and karate choppin' arms, Sir. Lex is a keeper if there ever was one. Rock on!
Nothing beats just good ole fashion rock and roll great drummer setting up the beat and the guitars kicking oh yeah I came up in the 60s and I approve this message
I love the subtext of the line “she’s so sweet with that get back stare”. The singer is talking about looking at a fine looking girl that he wants to make his, but she’s looking at him with a “get the hell away from me” stare, and dude is just thinking “yeah I like that”. The character of the singer is such a creep. Really interesting artistic perspective, to embody that role
I just laughed so hard at Brad's reaction to the line "You're with another man"! He was like "Oh helllllll no! Not cool bro!" lmao I would love to hang with you guys, you're my kind of people! Keep on punching those fools Brad!
Apple used this song in advertising, for quite some while. It's a banger... Long dark hair, long boots, 'get-back' stare... Must have been quite some sheila! ✌️😄
@@stevehearne192 Your initial comment strongly implied otherwise; i.e. "About time you guys tapped into the Australian rock scene.". Thus, my comment to you that strongly suggested they've done Aussie music before. The funny thing about Jet is, no one knew who they were in Australia until they got big in the US. This song came out in the US and everyone down here was like "What, they are an Australian band?"
Really appreciate your reactions. Hoping you would consider some songs from bands without a large catalog but still had a song or two that were really great. Blues Traveler - Run Around - 1994 Third Eye Blind - How's It Going To Be - Jumper - 1997 Eve 6 - Inside Out - 1998 Stabbing Westward - Save Yourself - Haunting Me - 1998 Drowning Pool - Bodies - 2001 Tantric - Breakdown - 2001 Trapt - Headstrong - 2002 Skindred - Nobody - 2002 Thanks!
I was like, "Headstrong?!?!? YEAH! That's a great song!" Then I realized I was thinking of Seven Mary Three's Headstrong!! lol edit: Actually, Lex would LOVE Seven Mary Three!!
@@langlsd1604 I caught the video for that as a sneak preview of the release of American Standard on Much Music waaaaaay back when. Bought it the day it was released and still love every song! A few off of Rock Crown, as well. Very under appreciated band.
I feel like you 2 absolutely needed each other for this whole musical experience. Brad seems like he would’ve never done this without being roped into it, and Lex seems like she wouldn’t have done it without sharing it. It just seems like y’all are each other’s yin and yang ☯️ and it’s beautiful to watch.
Jet was part of a brief Rock revival in mainstream music that took place in between 2000 to 2006. Other bands like The Darkness, The Vines, and The Hives were a part of that too.
Gotta say Brad, I respect you a lot more after this react. Your general attitude about people trying to manhandle your woman and take her away from you, and your willingness to just THROW DOWN in an instant, even though you know she's your girl. Mad respect dude.
This song brings a smile and a memory. My kid, who is now away at school, was about a year old when this song came out. We were driving somewhere and this song came on the radio. As it played, I glanced in the rearview mirror and saw my baby girl smiling and her head bouncing with the beat. Since that day I've always liked this song.
Be sure to check out their song Cold Hard bitch, it's another great song. As for poachers, Brad that's the price you have to pay for having a beautiful girl.
I actually own this album and it has alot of really good songs on it. I've only listened to this album and don't know much about them. But I like this whole album, great reaction guys
Brad, you are a Boss, and a lucky man cause Lex is fine. I have been watching yall for a while now and yall seem to really be good together, long may it last. Oh yeah, I really love yalls channel.
If you played Madden in the 90's this song was a featured track on one of the early 90's Madden games. Can't remember which year but I do remember hearing it first on that game.
Whenever this is blasting on the radio, it sets up a wonderful fantasy! 😺 Looking so fine, someone wants to steal you away. Not saying that I would, but damn! It's got a primal pull. Fun! 😽💋🎶
I love this song, especially that bass. I think Lex does too! Based on that other songs you might enjoy are The View's 'Grace' and The Strokes 'Reptilia'. Both cracking tracks.
Jet's other really good songs: Get What You Need, Rip It Up, Rollover DJ, Black Hearts (On Fire), She's A Genius, La Di Da, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, King's Horses, and Look What You've Done.
I think this song was in an Ipod commercial, or something like that, if I remember correctly. That's what first put Jet on my radar and I'm glad it did. To me their harder songs are definitely reminiscent of early AC/DC with Bon Scott, kind of a stripped down straight forward rock and roll vibe, whereas their slow ones have a Beatlesque quality. Not a bad couple of bands to sound like!!
If you guys are gonna do some 2000’s music might I suggest: Reptilia by The Strokes, Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked by Cage the Elephant, and The Underdog by Spoon
Great review. I'm glad you did this song. The next song to react to after this is The White Stripes -Seven Nation Army. Got a lot of airplay in it's days 👏👏👏
Lex got it from the go. Energy and beat. This makes a successful song that you can immerse yourself in. Brad was dealing with the fact that this is a song about a man taking a woman from another man.
Love this song! Cold Hard Bitch is another banger from these guys.
Nah, that song is fucking stupid. Doesn't surprise me that someone who uses the word "banger" would like it though.

😄 Brad is all left hand side of the brain, + a little right; Lex is all right side of the brain, + a little left.
THATS WHY THE SONG HAVE A MUSIC VIDEO AND NOT A LYRIC VIDEO,
NEVER TAKE THE LYRIC PERSONAL, JUST ENJOY AND FEEL THE VIBE
Brad knows he better watch out.
Brad took this song personal, lol.
He knows where he stands on stuff. That's a good trait in a man. Especially one in a relationship that is committed.

"Hey, we're going to the club tonight!"

Love it!
Lmfao

This is the first time Brad was spot on with the lyrics and I totally respect his "I don't like that energy"
Fuckin karate choppin dudes, I'm dying
About time you guys tapped into the Australian rock scene. This is only the tip of the tip of the iceberg.
More like the bottom of the barrel really but otherwise I agree.
Ain't the first Aussie band they did....just the first one you saw ;)
Every reaction channel has covered either ACDC, INXS and the Bee Gees. Oh and its not the first one I have seen. ;)

Since Lex likes rock and Brad likes breaking down lyrics try Silverchair Israel's Son
Anything from frogstomp to be fair.
Love this Song!! OMG haven't heard it ages 😁😁😁😁😁😁 THX for the Reaction and make me Just Remember! 💜

Yep unfortunately we have to claim them. Singer is an absolute dick!

this song sounds like he is describing lex
You guys should really check out "The Hook" by Blues Traveler. Extremely clever lyrics.
Just got some insight intp Brad's world. 🤣 Having Lex on his arm requires staying on his toes!
This is a great song, I haven't heard this in a long time!
It sounds similar to you because you listened to Iggy Pop - Lust For Life.
Jet ripped it off so hard.
Which in turn ripped off about 80% of Motown intros (the Jan did the same with Town Called Malice!)
Did you say, ”Mate Poachers?!” LOL
"Nobody ever wants to fight when they turn around and see me." Wut? 🤣
Omg, lmao!! 😂🤣😂🤣
Lex, as always vibing to the beat/song, poor Brad confused...likes beat/song but can't get past lyrics!! 😳
U 2 make my day!! ❤👍🏽😎
Finally someone reacting to Jet. Love this band!
Fishbone - Sunless Saturday: Black rock at its finest fused with jazz and funk and attitude!
Anyone else think since Brad&Lex had been on an 80s run that this was the R&B/pop band, "The Jets?"😆 You know, "Crush on you"
I swear these guys were born 50 years too late. The Beatles and them could swap catalogs and I don't think that it would change a thing

Red Hot Chilli Peppers “Tell me Baby” SUPER funky!!! And really cool video 🎸🔥🔥

Primal Scream. “Rocks” or “Jailbird”. Both great songs in a similar vein.
Primal Screams moving on up is a good one as well!

Amazing band, pure rock n roll. Check out Cold Hard Bitch, Shine on, and Timothy which is about his brother dying when he was really young
