The military march of the Russian Yegeri (special type of light infantry) is now perfect for German hunters. This march is not German - it's Russian but adopted by the Prussian army.

First time I”ve heard this march was from a russian youtube channel, wich claimed that is a patriotic song of the White Army. Now I can see the truth. Preussen has won again :D
@@SebastianVonReschitza well it's a lie, is both a prussian and a Russian march used since the napoleonic wars by the Russian imperial army and the prussian army and after the destruction of the Russian Empire it was used by the white and red armies and by the soviet army and now russian army. This march has a lot of history with the Russians it was composed for both the prussians and the Russians that were allies during the napoleonic wars for their jager regiments (both Prussians and Russians had jager regiments during that time) and also shared lots of things in common
@@stgr0186 With the annihilation of the old Prussian army at Jena-Auerstedt a lot of the prussian marching music was also lost (musicians learnt marches by heart, there was no central archive). For the reconstructed army the Prussians adopted a lot of Russian marches. Until the end of the 19th century a large part of the Russian officer corps and of the army musicians were Baltic German, so there literally was neither a language nor a cultural barrier. Russia and Prussia ad very cordial relationships during most of the 19th century, even with close friendships between the monarchs and intermarriage between the royal famiies. So neither side "stole" anything. It simply is a shared heritage, from a time when our two nations had very close relationship. And this is not limited to "copying some marches" - even the highest German military ceremony, the großer Zapfenstreich, is an adaption of a russian custom.

It was terminated for hatespeech, because German songs about flowers and girls are evil, didn't you know that? XD

🇩🇪👏👏👏💓
Why the march of the Russian Yegeri (Jäger) adopted by the Prussian army is called here "German march" ?
Because it has turned into one and added to the German march collection. Just like the British anthem is based on a French hymn.
@@dr.ludwig , and the modern US battle anthem starting with the melodic line from one of the most popular Cossack song "Khazbulat udaloy".
