I don't know if you know but in south Korea music industry there is something called the Big3. these big 3 are the 3 entertainment agencies that dominate the music (kpop) industry of Korea. these are SM entertainment, who produced EXO, NCT, Red valvet, Girls generation, super junior (ever heard of any of them)..... 2nd is JYP entertainment which manages Twice, 2pm, Got7,.... (know any one of them?) and finally YG who produced Black pink, Big Bang, 2ne1...(what about these?) so basically the Korean music industry is filled with the groups produced by the "Big 3". They get more exposure, more fanbase and generally better treatment compared to other so for mamamoo to come from RBW entertainment which is an unknown and get to where they are is amazing 2nd explanation the part where it says mamamoo have no concept is because in Korea idol music industry each group has a certain concept let it be cute, or girl crush or sexy for girls groups, so you see the girl group keeping up with this trend in most if not all of their albums 3rd explanation when it comes to writing their song, most Korean kpop stars (a) are not given the liberty to write their own lyrics because as i said they are from big3 and these entertainments have an age old recipe that win and works for the korean public and can attract more fans so they don't want to mess with that while (b) the singers are not talented at writing their lyrics because most important critters to be an idol is being pretty, a good dancer and a decent singer.
And that is why most kpop groups look almost same-ish...and the songs also sound basically the same, tbh. More people really should stan mamamoo, because they're a different breed, a cut above the rest
Im really hoping mamamoo will held a concert in the West! These Talented Queens really fitted on western market taste! They're not just a PERFORMER, but a truly Artist who know how to Produce and Write their music. An Artist who have their Own voice to speak tru writing their lyrics. One of a few Artists whos not belong to a FACTORY BAKE IDOL.
RBW sucks at promoting them internationally.. I heard a lot of Western artist said they wanted to collab with the girls..n im sure they already reach RBW for it but RBW just stay silent.. 🤧🤧
