I bought a Mercedes Benz GLE 400d in Dec 2020. In last 9 months of ownership the vehicle has visited the service center 11 times. A car costing over 1cr and the quality of panels and plastics is worst than a Hyundai Verna. I own a Hyundai Verna and I feel it is more solid than a MB. It is an SUV and the body makes a cracking noise on twisters, door panel makes rattling noise and the MB guys cant figure out where it is coming from, the wiper blades have been replaced as it was making juddering noise and the new one still continues to make noises, the 360 degree camera stopped functioning and it was replaced under warranty. You can touch the plastic panels and realize how poorly built it is and big compromise on the quality of interiors. Every bad patch of the road and the noises from the cabin make the ownership horrible. For a car worth over a crore???

Manufacturing mistakes might come in all cars, it depends on how the service center takes care of it. Now this doesn't mean we shouldn't buy that particular car.

I have same model which I got in March this year, none of this issues in my car 👏🏼.
Yes once had battery issue in lockdown but was sorted.
Rest it looks stunning, it’s perfectly stable at 120km speed and I just wish they had given ventilated seats.

DDCT engine is Petrol is noisy initially during cold start & intercooler
Service cost annually is 10-15k . If brake pads change included service cost is 20k .
Mileage more you will only get if u drive more than 2hours in open roads
Screen : there are few updates that have come & even device dongle change is recommended by JEEP .
Battery issue : was only for some specific models from manufacturers
The roof upholstery, I also have faced a problem with finishing . JEEP has said due to covid and low man power quality control was not 💯
Ask for compensation for wastage of time going to service station
Compass is the only SUV among all other Psuedo SUV's like Safari, Hector, Creta, Harrier etc.

@@deerghayuphukan1215 unfortunately 4×4 also doesn't defines SUV , Compass and XUV700 even with AWD will be ABSOLUTELY STRANGLED if we try to do even mild off roading . Big bulky body on frame chassis , Rear wheel driven , Good approach and departure angles defines an SUV. Compass is also a "Pseudo SUV" u lil silly boy. These are called Soft-roaders.
After spending 28 lakhs, it seems to be a disaster. No ventilated seats, fit and finish issues, lag. Phew.
I will never spend 28L RS on 1.4 Litter engine even how much you can decorate from inside.

Jeep have best in class safety and 4*4 system as long as you know how to operate.
Have Wrangler from 3yrs and jeep compass trailhawk 1 yr. No issues with anything so far.
There is settings in system where you can select the backup camera delay to off.

I own a Brezza Diesel, I bought it 5 years ago and have driven 55,000 Km. I was planning to upgrade to Jeep Compass Diesel. Now I am doubtful and not sure whether I should upgrade to this option .
if you want petrol then go for VW T-Roc and if you want diesel then go for harrier or hector otherwise all rounder innova is beast

Yeah, base model Sports which cost 17-19 is awesome, cant compare with Creta/Seltos/Kushaq.
Car doesn't move front or back because of hill desent and hill climb assistant so car doesn't get out of control. It's aone of safety features.
It does have 50+ safety features which no other brand at that price offers, . Go with manual always for help.
Think safari is also a good option if you dont want 4wd.Though Tata has more quality issues than jeep.But price difference is also huge.The guy seems to have just got the two to voice his issues to Jeep on social media to get a resolution.Baki A6 aur X1 chalne wale ko quailty issues dikhenge hi on a lower budget car.

@Vikram B Yes I also felt that during test drive but the SA told me that we have not got any complaints from our customers regarding AC performance and the TD vehicle has not been serviced maybe that's why. But as a owner would you recommend getting the compass considering I live in Delhi where in summer the temperature reaches 45⁰c. Can the AC cool the cabin ? Or is the compressor not able to cool in peak summer ?
Cabin sound insulation is commendable. As if you are discussing in a room and not while driving.
