You are one of the lucky people to be able to live in the country and make enough to live. So many of us older people craved this lifestyle but there were not enough alternative jobs, or maybe we didnt have the access to them. My partner and I moved to a small town after years of living in a big city, as middle-aged people, and if I had my choice, I would have chosen a cabin in the woods or farmland. There is still too much vehicle traffic in a small town and too many people wanting it to be a bigger city. But, it has been much more peaceful. Small bars and restaurants are not prolific so our choices are narrowed removing the FOMO and confusion of where to go. We live a little out of the downtown so medical appointments and larger grocery shopping need a car, which we did not need in the city, but we schedule our shopping so may be only go out once or twice a month for that. The Farmer’s Markets are successful and we do most of our shopping there weekly, and the produce is so much more affordable. City living has its advantages, and some people thrive but for me, I would choose the simple life in a quiet setting any day! I love your vids, came to them because of your wild swimming and can so relate to that. By the way, your friends houseboat looks gorgeous and perfect! All the best, I hope to continue to follow your lovely adventures, and wish peaceful living for both of you.
Any plans to move to the country or are you now settled? I'm making a new TV property show if you're interested? It's all about moving from the city to the country for a better quality of life.
The best option is having choice between the two. My best memories are living in a flat in Swiss Cottage NW3 and my parents living in a Warwickshire village where I could spend weekends. From Swiss Cottage I could catch the no 3 bus and be in Baker st or Oxford st in 15 mins.
Awww, I used to live in Swiss Cottage too! It is one of my fondest memories! I've since moved to New York and Philadelphia, which is the most livable city, but natural world has been beckoning me for several years. Unfortunately, my job is in the city and can't be done remotely, so I remain in the city for now, but it's easy to leave.
It’s so important for each of us as individuals to tune in & listen to our own inner voices to tell us & show us where our minds & body’s want to be on this beautiful planet. Find your space, find your community, find your joy, & find your purpose. Thank you for always making such beautiful films.✌️❤️🌞
All of your videos are so beautiful. I love how much credit you've given to each space that you've lived in. I'm just recently realizing how important it can be to feel inspired by the environment in with you live.
I've just come home in the country after a tough day at work (self employed) and was about to meditate and then I came across you and your film...I felt your pleasure at being in your new environment....lovely to chill to it...many blessings 🙏John
Amazing, calming, beautiful, honest, uplifting. Kind & caring video as always Alexandra. I don’t have to say anything about your calming and spiritual voice as it is one of the best I’ve heard in my life. Thank you :)
You have done something I want to do too. Move out of London to a quiet country setting or even a quiet seaside location. I hope you all remain happy there 💖
Hi, are you making any plans to move? I'm a TV producer and looking for families to take part in a new property show where people want to move from the city to the country. Let me know if you'd like to know more.
Privet from Russia! I really enjoy watching your videos, and I live in the countryside as well! The pigeon is soo gorgeous, never seen such a beautiful shape of beak! Hope to see your future videos soon, stay well! :)
Absolutely beautiful touching and inspirational dear!! I am also looking to move outside of London ,after 13 years, however my dream and heart always was living in countryside...I looking for a quiet place, same as yours.Thank you for sharing 😌🙏
Yes....it´s like that....we don`t simply live ON our Mother Earth but we are part of her......we should all live WITH her and respect her and all her creatures!! The most af the humans have forgotten it!!
Privet! Russia watches:) like your attitude of life and voice. Been to Germany many times and honestly can say that the German villages are the most well-groomed, and the English ones look very atmospheric, especially those with a hay roof!
I enjoy watching your video's as you are living a beautiful way of life. I have chosen to live my 'Winter years' going back to basics, I am much happier, rested and certainly fulfilled. Keep living the dream 💕🇦🇺
Nice to have the “ elbow room “… the country setting provides. Nature always provides something new and… equally refreshing…Nature given the opportunity… will always renew itself… and make things better.🌞🌜🌞

If I told you big city living was orchestraed for the last 300 years by a small group of individuals would you believe me? Get back to the land. Become self sufficient and you become UNGOVERNABLE. ✨️
Good video. I think you're just more aware of environmental destruction through learning. For example, in the US, many many people that live more rural and surrounded by nature deny that there are big environmental problems going on worldwide. Sometimes I think it's because it is not visible to them, as they live near what appears to be thriving nature.
Pros and cons in everything. I moved out of london and I'm living in sussex. It's horrible. I'm planning to move to nottingham. A place not too big but still has everything I need, museums, shops, history. So much better way of life, if anything isolating yourself like this isn't healthy. You need a community, you need balance.
You are lucky that you are able to live your dream ... a lot of us dream of some opportunity to make a clean break with this rat race but we never do and end our days in misery of so called civilised world
It’s not luck. If people want something badly enough, it will happen and plenty of people do it. My mum sold her house in the UK and retired to live in Jamaica 10 years ago. I also know lots of people who’ve moved from Birmingham to Cornwall, Brighton and other places. Luck hasn’t factored in any of it.
I love your voice, it's so friendly and calming.
I've done the move from London to the countryside myself. It still feels good after many years. - Looking forward to more of your great photography!

I love how you manage to highlight the things that make both the city and the country great!!
Would still rather move into the country though I think😭
I'm really glad that that's how it came across! I do love both places but the countryside feels like home!

Fantastic
Lovely
I love that grey jumper you are wearing when you play the guitar , can I ask where you got it from please?
Aww, I love that jumper too! I got it from a charity shop and it doesn't have a label I'm afraid. Sorry about that!
Wonderful 💚👍

Don’t forget WHY, where you live and why you love it, is because of the people that live there and the ones who came before you!!!!!
Highly recommended book by Ellen G. White… Country Living.

So a bunch of hippies that couldnt afford London because theyre in the arts, what a schock.
London is a nice city; but it's overrated.
