Hey, giga yachts are the bomb. I luv em. But these vintage yachts are simply classic. Unreplicable !
Love the sound of the boat creaking as you guys walked through…. It’s so awesome that people respected and valued such a treasure and still do. Very cool. The captain must really lover her working so many years with her…. Cool too…
I can't imagine how much maintenance is required to keep this vintage wooden yacht in shape. Someone's done a fabulous job of maintaining it so far.
SHE'S A BEAUTY, MY STYLE OF LUXURY!!! Do more Classic Yachts . Thank You Both🌹
I love it when you follow your girl, climbing up the stairs.
Хороший и Красивый Видос!!!👍👍👍Спасибо!!!💋💋💋🤝🤝🤝
A beautiful classic. It would take a LOT of money to turn her back into a private yacht but she would certainly be one of a kind.
Thanks Nauti for tracking her down.
so glad you like it 🙏🏻💙
and the boat is nice too
Ah, the “Shining One”. What a beautiful yacht, the stories she could tell…
LOVED THE INTRO with Victoria strolling Electra’s deck.😚
Victoria is a classic beauty too!!! A darling woman!
My little sister Carol got married aboard the Electra! Perfect small intimate wedding venue!
Oh wow! sooo cool! 👰 🙌🏻
Beautiful! So hope someone with the passion and financial means brings her back to life as a private yacht. If so, please share the restoration journey on RUclips so we can see her transformation. So fun! Thanks you two for taking us on such a fascinating tour!
What a fantastic idea, I will follow up with the broker to see who bought her
One thing I learned growing up about money is that if you don't have money or you're not making enough money you simply have to trust that you'll figure it out you just have to start doing different things and look for a way to make money and somehow you'll get the bills paid. Although luckily for my generation bills are a lot less terrifying, because we know there's still opportunities to lose everything whether or not we have the bare minimum to get by.
BRAVO!! Classic old Hollywood vintage! What a romantic, adventurous, phenomenal Valentine's day gift!!! An incredible home/business, on the water, opportunity. So many ways for this vessel to make money for the owner! Lots of places for Rico's DJ equip, for sure! I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I LOVED that commercial kitchen! I LOVE this boat; it's beauty, it's space, it's history and it's will to live!! Rico does a great job filming and letting us see details, up close! Feels like we are aboard!! The boat aside for a moment; one of my favorite parts of this video was Victoria's dress!! That dress is to die for, and Electra was the perfect showcase for it!! Oh Rico, really? The fantail stern is like a ladies butt?? 🤷🤦🤭
😃😃😂😊🙏🏻💙 such a great comment, you made us both laugh and smile 💙💙💙
She has a beautiful smell. Thankyou Ricco and Victoria. Today I used the helium 3 and 4 from Tidbinbilla satellite dishes Canberra Australia which I have put into cars and boats. Today we got all the water pipe world wide guys.
I've loved yachts and liners from the 1880s to the 1940s since I was a kid, so this was super fun for me! Based on what I learned back then, the layout was fairly standardized from the era of steam yachts through diesel: Dining room forward, the bar would have been a serving pantry. The forward stairs in the saloon led to the owner's suite, the aft stairs to 2 guest staterooms with a shared head. The heads in the accommodation would have originally had baths. I have a feeling Electra's various owners made alterations below deck, possibly by moving original elements around. Electra remains surprisingly livable, and so so lovely. Thanks for showing us.
Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻💙
Eight months late apparently, but I do love these older boats. They have something that newer boats do not have.
Loved the video--we lived aboard for 25 years. Our love was a custom built all wood Grebe. Tons of daily wood care but it truly was a labor of love. But we cruised the entire ICW from Corpus Christi (GICW) to Maine and throughout the Bahamas. Advancing age made it necessary to move on with our lives.
oooow that sounds amazing! what a life... like a movie I’m sure! 💙
Good for u, I’m sure you have a lot of memories and pictures…
Very beautiful!
The boat is nice too.
JIM
$495,000 seems like an absolute steal for such a lovely old piece of history that will still be around for many years to come... another great video guys... keep going with it...😉👍
This is a fabulous boat. I’ve been on it for a Christmas party many years ago. We cruised on it for the Newport Christmas parade of lights. Thanks for sharing it. Brought back fun memories. ⛵️
Oooow how awesome! Newport Xmas Parades are so fun 🙌🏻
NautiStyles you should decorate and cruise your boat in one of the boat parades around so Cal at Christmas. Would be an awesome video!
We have done it twice. Had a very traumatic experience one year and have not done it since🙈
NautiStyles oh I’m so sorry.
Oh I bet that was fun…
She’s beautiful. And the yacht is nice too.
What a beautiful piece of history.
Such a beautiful lady!
I am only 60, not to old really but I can appreciate the tunes behind walk-about of this vessel, ship can't call it a boat. I served 4yrs on the water & lived/raised-up on the GOM since I was 12. THis boat just catches me, idk love the wood surely [not the maintenance] also plenty of brass to polish. One could go on & on just to say what a true piece of idk ART ? Would love to run it for hire like take Yankees out for 3 hour tour [live aboard]? !!!!!
Beautiful~ this is one example
Godspeed
What a stately landmark. A beautiful piece of history. Thanks Victoria and Rico. Awesome !
Our pleasure!
@@NautiStyles You guys do such nice work and very professional videos. I really only sub to two channels. Cheers. Stay Salty.
Thank you for touring her. This beautiful vessel. Classic. I got to get full history on her in Lake Union, at wooden boat yard next to old Navy Armory. They did a class with all the owner history first, then opened up the great vessel for go anywhere on board. At the time they had a person who lived on her as caretaker. I was wondering where she went off too. Amazing that she's for SALE know. A great Captain as this female is, she can dock her with ease, using those engine's and big rudder. When I was in US Army on ST are operator, ( Captain) had served in WW-2. Always had us put a spring line on first. Then he just swung wheel( had the big brass nob on wheel) he put rudder to hard over away from dock and put her in forward gear. The tug always held to dock, as we hitched up forward and stern lines. Then a big donut roll of lines on deck. Just like having none slip rugs all over the steel hull. Plus it dry'ed the lines. A new owner a must at haul out put bow thrusting. On it if they loss that expert Captain. Think of the money the vessel could make if left for charters, it could almost pay for upgrades in my Humble opinion.
Wow. Most beautiful boat I've seen in a long time!!
The grand old lady was given every care and consideration she deserved that only you could have given her. A majestic revue for a timeless boat but not spoilt with too much gadgetry the new boats have, as it was said when you were both with the Captain, no bow thrusters, you had to know how to drive this boat. Thanks for a revue taking some of us down memory lane. Thank you.
thank you for watching, so glad you enjoyed this one 🙏🏻💙
Lovely craft. I did an interior refinish job on a 92 footer moored on Lake Union back in the 1980's that had many of the features as this boat. She was built in 1927. Thanks for the look around.
oh how cool! thanks for sharing
Class, beauty, style...just wow👌
Wow! THIS is a yacht for a gentleman (or gentlewoman)! No "plastic soapbox". If I ever can afford a yacht this is how it should look, with some minor mods to make it a private yacht.
Wonderful video. I think Rico enjoys filming you as much as the boats.
Victoria is always fun to watch and beautiful
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙈
Cigar Lounge .... You literally read my mind!
Best outfit yet
If I could afford I would definately revert it back to the original 1929 conditions with the steam propulsion included which that would make the wheelhouse a little more sleeker 👍
Also the galley would go back to the original condition 👍
Good video thanks for sharing it I'm sure someone has already fallen in love with this vessel and will give her a new home!
I totally agree, what a beautiful piece of history 🙌🏻
Definitely*
Especially wonderful....very interesting and fact filled. Enjoy all your programs. Thank you.
Perfect music for this vintage vessel. 🎶 😎
man to take her and turn this beauty back to a personal cruiser
Stunning boat.
My brother-in-law found an all wood boat in Alaska in deplorable condition. She was over 50 feet long and he and is father had it immaculately restored to original condition using the original blue prints. Her name was Denali. Her original commissioning owner was Albert (Al) Capone. Last I heard she was a Dinner boat in Portland Oregon. I had the pleasure of sailing on her about 25 years ago for 3 days in the San Juan Islands in the Puget Sound.
You know your videos make me feel like I’m on holiday and definitely put a bit of sunshine into my day , absolute gem of a boat the carpentry and build is first class , cheers 🎯👍
So glad! yeay, that’s the idea behind our channel 🙏🏻💙
...A spring or summer sunset cruising around Manhattan, destined to last all night. A cocktail party with champagne and oyster. A very good live concert of classical chamber music or jazz music. All this in a one night, only for a few close friends.... It could be my perfect wedding party on this. Thanks very much for making me dream even for a few minutes. ....Breathe and enjoy unique flavors which only this so wonderful as dreamer vessel could give me. Thank You very much
oooow your dream is spot on! what a perfect yacht for this 😍😍
Beautiful ship.....Classic woodwork is amazing
It really is!
From a far better world 🌎. Style, elegance, decorum. A beautiful lady, magnificent vessel.
Couldn't agree more!
I went with my life to look it for are wedding. Beautiful antique boat, not enough for the amount of people we had. They had two of three boat in there fleet. This boat felt like I was in the 40. Hopefully one day, I could do my 10 yr anniversary on it. Thank you so much for your channel. My wife and I love it.
Oh how cool! You must of had a BIG wedding 😆🙌🏻 thank you so much for watching and please say hi to your wifey from Rico and I
beautiful ship... hope the next owner keeps the captain...
I'm in awe of classic MY, especially fantails...
So much pride and workmanship.
what a special treat
Electra was such a beautiful boat, The extensions on the roof totally detract from her classic lines. Let’s hope a boat lover restores her original beauty.
I agree, practical for charter, but would be so stunning in its originality
I wanted to say exactly the same thing. Just look at the carving at the bar. The lines of the original were beautiful. The conversion into an event ship has completely misshapen them. In addition to that, there are the incomplete and partly lovelessly extended furnishings and the partly massive interventions in the original layout.
But to restore this inhospitable beauty back to its original state with the flair of the 1930s should be close to the cost of a new building. Unfortunately, this will be her death sentence. She will one day degenerate into a pure (moored) party ship or better fast food.
Really sad to see something like that in the video and to see her future fate before
@@_Briegel ✅👍
Woah! Such a piece of tradition -- party boat of the gin & jazz era, practically a floating speakeasy for the well-to-do wanting a getaway without prying eyes in their business. Just a couple miles offshore to where the liquor and gambling laws don't exist, and all bets are off... or the bets are on, if you like; and privacy can take the place of propriety :)
That little forward parlor that looked like a semi-dining area? I'll bet you that originally was the card room for poker, cigars, and insider trading over the weekend. It's like a boat with a mullet cut: long party deck in the back, short business deals in the front.
You did such a great job on this episode! Showed off both the classical and practical aspects, opened the eyes to multiple possible futures. The old-jazzy music cues and dreamy visual sequences went really well together, too. You made me want to buy it, and I don't even want to buy it. Someone who would actually have the lifestyle to enjoy it properly should snap it up pronto!
Great editing and sound design, and the transitions were smoother. You got all that working together. It was more effective than some of the old episodes for having this gentler, more thematic touch with the mix. [Let he who hath complained in the past, also heap praise for the improvements!]
Thanks for another wonderful show. You folks always give a fair mix of fact and flair, which shows your subjects in their best lights. I'm looking forward to what else you may find for us!
Woooow, just read your comment out loud to Rico, thank you for making us smile and giving us the feeling that our hard work pays off and is appreciated 🙏🏻💙💙 I think i’m getting more and more confident editing and choosing the music track for this was was such a blast for me😄 Super excited about next Sat: bad ass World Explorer Yacht... its soooo good, I might have to make it a 2 part Video (first one for this channel)
I will say I do like it better when the two of you tour the yachts on your own. It has better flow, you seem less rushed and will open more cabinets! Good stuff here, love the channel.
Thank you so much!
Glad we got the opportunity to show you all this American-Built True Classic Beauty 💙 ⚓️🚢 Thanks to everyone who was able to join us in the Weekly LIVE CHAT during the PREMIERE 🙌🏻 Also, we just filmed something VERY special and exclusive yesterday (check out my InstaStories for a hint 😉😝) See you all next Sat at 10PST ☕️
💙💙💙💙
I think the antique boats are way better looking than the new ones.
Awesome tour and boat! 👍 Funny side note. I had my wireless headphones on during the video. Sadie (my border collie) often does not like the background music in a lot of the videos I watch. She also doesn't like my (another funny side story) favorite types of music either. Too keep peace in the house I bought a set of wireless 7.1 headphones. Was listening to the video (not watching) while I put things away in the kitchen for the night. Heard Rico compliment the yacht for its teak and fine craftsmanship ( I agree!!). Then I heard Victoria say something that I almost spit my drink out! Wait!!! What??!! Back in the living room, I backed the video up so I could take a look. ""look at the cleats" listening but not watching I thought Nauti said something that rhymes with cleats but begins with a T. 😉😂 Me and my sophomoric low sense of humor! 😁 Yes. those are some nice looking brass cleats! . Anyhow, laughs aside, that was an awesome boat and tour. Thanks! I practically drooled at the commercial grade galley. I hope whoever buys this yacht is wise enough to retain her Captain.
P.S. The man that commissioned and had this yacht built must have Really LOVED his wife.
🙈🤣🤣😝🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can only imagine!🙈🤣 thanks for watching! Glad you liked the Tour
I like the classic lines of the Yacht. It reminds me of a 40's or 50's movie
It reminds me of the boat used in " Creature From Black Lagoon".
What a treat to see this.
oow thanks for watching
A BEAUTIFUL LADY SHOWING OFF ANTHER BEAUTIFUL LADY...GREAT PRESENTATION THANK YOU.
Wow, thank you
Thank you for a really great tour. I appreciate that you take the time to timestamp the areas of the boat.
Glad you enjoyed it!
You guys track down the best boats! Love the vintage style.
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻💙 we do our very best to find interesting yachts to show you guys
Something different! Very cool old lady. There is nothing like a wooden boat. Classic!
Just stunning!!!
So nice to see how the two of you enjoyed this truly classic small ship :)
Sweet! Priceless! Classic! Wish you both the best for making these incredible videos! 👊🌞👊
👊🌞👊
Love older wooden boats. I love this boat💞😍
Us too!
Love the vintage stuff😁😁
Rolling strong in that sun dress!
Thanks Victoria and Rico,! The best yacht tours are the once that amaze and surprise us, and this is the best example. This tour made me dream of the history of this yacht as well as how it could become an amazing personal yacht again. Next to that, the whole vibe of the video, with the music and your dress was an excellent nostalgic trip into a great piece of history!
Our pleasure! I really loved this Antique Lady, cannot wait for you to see the Explorer next week😍😍🙏🏻🙌🏻💙
The Southern California climate is what has helped preserve this boat. Which has kept the maintenance costs down significantly. Bring it to Florida in the heat and humidity?? And it will be 3x time and cost. Would be nice to see it restored to its original floor plan and wood trim$$$$!
WOW !
Hi Victoria ❤ n Rico Great Job fully detailed very well spoken!
Congratulations w your new Bering it's beautiful n properly well made🎉
As allways
Victoria Elegant classy
I love the jazz music!
🙏🏻🙏🏻😊
thanks for showing!
What a stunning, stunning ship. Super video. Also may I say, Vic, you looked stunning . In that beautiful dress you looked every inch the Hollywood movie star, you that dress and that boat were a perfect match. Just lovely. X. The other thing that caught my eye was the old steam paddled Riverboat moored close to Electra. I would have loved a nice sneaky peek around her as well! Thanks again you two, really enjoyed that, see you next week. xx
Ooooh she did look very interesting as well😍 thanks for watching, we had a blast filming this one 🙌🏻
That looks like a great live aboard. Can’t wait for this one.
it’s VERY VERY UNIQUE 🙈
Love seeing these old classic vessels.
So cool loved seeing her.
What a wonderful Yacht/Ship. Thank you again for another great video video. This is a lot cheaper than the 62' one that you showed before but still more than my house and 20 Ac. And that would only be the beginning. So to buy & upkeep this vessel for another 30 years would require a Billionaire. But again thank you for the tour. It was wonderful.
Someone absolutely needs to purchase this beautiful Yacht and restore her back to original condition. With the exception of upgraded electronics.
Looking forward to it. I loved your last classic yacht tour, keep up the great work guys :)
thank you soooo much! see you soon
Finally got to sit down with the wife and watch lol What a great piece of history and beauty! Thank you guys for bringing us these great videos!
Yeay! We had such fun making this one 😄 Love when couples watch our channel together like we do other channels every week 😍 pls say hi to the wifey from both of us 👋🏻💙💙
That ship is amazing 👍
My grandfather was a member of the Seattle Yacht Club in the 20s 30s and 40s. His Yacht was called the Iwanna… don’t remember the builder tho. I believe, if I’m not mistaken, he was the president of the Seattle yacht club at one time also. I’m sure he and his kids (my mom being one) probably knew this yacht well. Fun fact: Mom said every time they went through the Chittenden Locks, they all had to go below and change into blue and white uniforms to man the bumpers, passing through the locks. Once through and in Puget Sound, go below and change back into regular cloths. The lock workers said they were the best dressed and well drilled crew in all of Seattle.
Perfect dress for this lady. Beautiful :-)
Oh thank you! I was definitely inspired
Been busy last few days, but now back enjoying my Walkthroughs again. Looking forward to seeing a true classic. X
Welcome back! see you soon, next week is going to be the Explorer Yacht 😉😉
@@NautiStyles I watched a mental one earlier. A 37m quad deck by David Seal. A Bennetti. Altjough only a virtual tour, I think it will be a game changer. I'll copy and paste the link Victoria. How are you both. X
how is your new ride? 💙
Very nice! Always admired the classic wooden hulls, and this one is a beaut! Victoria did a great job touring the boat. And yes, maintenance must be high, but in the hands of a caring owner, this yacht shines.
Yes! Love those classic fantails
Awesome!! See you tomorrow 💙💙💙
Lovely classic boat. Thank you for the video.
Thank you, you two! I’m in love with your tours!!
So glad!
Beautiful classic --
Beautiful boat and represented awesome by you two. Keep making I'll keep watching.
Thank you so much James
What a work of art!!
glad you agree
Loved your music choice for the video. Perfect for that boat tour.
Thank youuu! I had fun picking it! V
This lady is beautiful. Oh and Victoria also 😊
Ha Ha! I didn't record, just kidding! My favorite part at the end! Keep up the great work Victoria!
Thanks! You too! lol
Wow! What a beauty. Very elegantly presented. You guys are the greatest. 👍👍
Wow, thank you!
You are two fabulous people, I always smile when watching your videos. And besides, the subjects are always very interesting. 😍👍👍👍
Thank you so much!🙏🏻💙
SWEET
Fascinating tour of an amazing boat. I can just picture President Reagan and Nancy entertainining the Queen on that boat.
Absolutely gorgeous, if it's still available when I hit the lottery, it's mine!
These classic boats are the best. I may have mentioned this before, but a tour of boats owned by say Humphrey Bogart or John Wayne etcetera (if they still exist) would be super interesting.
ALL THAT WOOD is very nice and it would only take 3 men working 24/7 to keep it up and just try to remember the cost of upkeep for a million dollar yacht is about $300,000 a year. I used to restore boats, and this one needs to be dry-docked and repacked joints very often depending on usage...every 3 ~ 5 years all wood to be stripped and refinished outside the cabin. I use McCloskey Man O'War
SPAR MARINE VARNISH for all my woodwork ~ 6 coats minimum and sanding between each coat. Some people say there are better products but McCloskey Man O'War
SPAR MARINE VARNISHif used from the get-go and you open the pores of the wood properly before the first coat with a steam jenny it will never blister
This owner and in this video they should put on the aspects what it cost to maintain the boat each year... all costs in my opinion. And then you will understand the initial cost is nothing compared to 3 years of maintenance
If I was really wealthy after restoring boats for so many years I think I would opt for a boat with less maintenance, but this man does have a masterpiece for sure. Great video, thumbs up
