I've been a car guy since I was a kid in the 80's. Been a Honda fanboy since got my 1st Honda in 2001, a 94 Civic Vx. I'm currently on my 6th (89 CRX Dx w/ built b16 swap, owned since 2009) and 8th (98 CRV awd 5spd, daily) Honda. I've been an automotive mechanic since 2007. I've had hundreds, if not thousands of different cars out on test drives. I've serviced and driven many, many +$100k cars. The most satisfying car I've ever had the pleasure of working on / modifying and test driving was from a regular customer who purchased Ebay parts then had our SoCal shop install on his 2001 AP1. I had this +9 miles of mountain canyon roads that I knew VERY well where we would do test drives and that car had me at my driving skill limit long before I reached the limits of the car. Truly a blast to drive. I would take a S2K over anything else you could think of for double the price. No wonder they have doubled in value since bottoming out at $8k in price a few years ago.
Ryan is super cool and I’ve had the pleasure of hanging out with him at many track days over the last year or two. Can’t wait to see him get even faster than he already is… 👍
Awesome car and dude seems to know what he's talking about. Wish I was at that point in my early 20s haha. Took me til my late 20s to get into a s2000 and start the track car journey
@@Sub2club It will remain unmolested as my summer toy for the street for a long long time. Seems like there are not very many unmolested S2ks left. Too bad. I wish Honda had kept it in production longer. I starting to worry about oem parts availability.
I bought mine last year silverstone/red interior, 80K miles, clean title, fully track built with ohlins for 16K. Only been tracked once at grid life before being sold to me. There are deals out there if you look hard enough.
The owner sounds very mature for 22 years of age. S200s are awesome, great editing Peter!
Appreciate the kind words! Learned from the one and only Automotive Anatomy!

Thank you for sharing that story! I have never owned a s2000 but am fully aware of their capabilities. So many cars to drive/own, so little time haha!

Yeah that’s awesome, Ryan’s parents are very supportive and guided him towards making the right decisions too I think. Very cool dude.
Nice video. Nice car. Well done. I have a nearly bone stock 2003 with OEM hard top. Street only. I love it.
Appreciate the comment Robert! Keep it clean! Wish I had bought one too.

I had the same problem when I was his age. I was receiving speeding tickets left and right; such a waste of resources.
Haha glad we learned our lesson
