@@brentkrohn3786 The authenticity of Moses is based on the public revelation at Sinai: God revealed Himself to the entire nation of Israel, at least three million people, and proclaimed before them the Ten Commandments. The entire Jewish people personally experienced that revelation, each individual in effect becoming a prophet, and each one verifying the experience of the other. With their own eyes they saw, and with their own ears they heard, as the Divine voice spoke to them, and also they heard God saying, "Moses, Moses, go tell them the following ..." They did not receive the occurrence of that event and accept it as some claim or tradition of an individual, but they experienced it themselves. That public revelation, therefore, authenticated the bona fide status of Moses as a prophet of God, and the Divine origin of the instructions he recorded in the Torah. That, and that alone, is the criterion for the belief in, and acceptance of, Moses and his teachings, as God said to him, "I will come unto you in a thick cloud that the people may hear when I speak with you and will also believe in you forever" (Exodus 19:9).

The One True Creator G_d gave specific details to the Hebrew prophets about when the Real Messiach comes. No One! Especially the so-called "Jesus" has fulfilled any of them yet!
      1. When the Real Messiach comes, he will be a normal man from the line of David through Solomon and will sit on the throne of David and rule from there forever.
      *Obviously, that hasn't happened yet!
      2. When the Real Messiach comes, it will be at the End of Days.
      * Obviously, back then was not the End of Days!
      3. When the Real Messiach comes, the Temple will be rebuilt never to be destroyed again, and The Messiach will start the animal sacrifices in the Temple again.
      * The opposite happened back then! The very fact that the Temple isn't standing proves that the so-called "Jesus" is Not The Messiach!
      4. When the Real Messiach comes, Everyone around the world (including atheist) will know that he is The Messiach!
      * We KNOW that the so-called "Jesus" is Not The Messiach!
      5. When the Real Messiach comes, death will cease to exist.
      * Obviously, that hasn't happened yet either because so many people are still getting sick and dying.
      6. When the Real Messiach comes, there will be World Peace and weapons of war will be rebuilt into farming implements.
      * We're still waiting for that one!!!
      7. When the Real Messiach comes, Everyone around the world, from every language will grab the Jews and say "Now we know that we have inherited only lies and G_d has been with you Jews all along. Please 🙏 take us with you!"
      * We're still waiting for that one, too!!!
No where in the Torah/Tanach does it ever say that the Messiach will keep failing and have to come back again and again. According to Christianity, the so-called "Jesus" already came back a second time, but he still never fulfilled any of those Prophecies about the Real Messiach. Mark and Luke, on the other hand, do not say that the "Son of Man" would be in the grave for three days, unlike Matthew, but that the resurrection takes place on the third day in a time period that also includes arrest, judgment, hand overing and burial which all would take place within these three days.

Once Jesus died on the cross, those ways of being forgiven were no longer valid. Also, may I add that Christians believe that the first time JC came was not to fulfill scriptures of what the messiah would accomplish, but he came specifically to die for the sins of the world and to be the last and final sacrifice. All the other messianic scriptures he would accomplish in the second coming. Thank you for your teaching, I enjoy learning the truth from you very much.

Dr. Tovia Singer, if you haven't already done so would you kindly read the Book 'Caesar's Messiah' by Joseph Atwill or watch his RUclips video? What do you think regarding the credibility of the book's hypothesis that Christianity was a Flavian Roman propaganda exercise in pacifying the Jews throughout their empire - especially promoting Titus as the Messiah being the son of God(Vespasian)? Was the writings of the adopted Jew Flavian Josephus the basis for the Roman fabrication of the New Testament? Was Paul also a willing contributor to this scam? There seem to be several renowned academics who are now lending credibility to this theory.

Jesus was crucified on a Wednesday. John specifies in the KJV that the following day was a Jewish high day which was not the Sabbath but was still a day of rest. This means Jesus was dead for 72 hours. (3 days and 3 nights). Jesus specifies also that there are twelve hours in a day. I learned this truth years ago from Babylon Mystery Religion by Ralph Woodrow.

There is only one one can live righteous is faith alone in Christ alone. The sacrifice of Christ was Gods perfect plan for sin but for all those who believe.

    Great video as always Rabbi.
I understand your dilemma, but the answer lies not in the shady reckonings of the Jewish calendar which neither they, not historians can agree on, but in the words of Christ Himself.
Let's examine the three days and three nights carefully, comparing Spiritual things with Spiritual.
Let us look at the exact words of Christ and see if we may have inherited some assumptions from tradition:
Matthew 12:40 “For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”
Firstly, Jesus did not say He would be in the grave three days and nights, but He used a biblical expression "the heart of the earth", Jonah used synonymous expressions including "the bottoms of the mountains" and "the midst of the seas", and Psalm 74:12 says that God is "working salvation in the midst of the earth."
Second, Jesus equates "the heart of the earth" with the belly of the fish.
Third, Jonah was alive when the three days and three nights began, for he prayed to God "out of the belly of hell", so if Jesus was to be as Jonah, the three days and nights begin before His death, when He cries out to God as did Jonah.
    INCLUSIVE RECKONING
So what is inclusive reckoning? Let's look at an example, In Esther, Esther sends to Mordecai saying "fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day", and "it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house".
Here, the equivalent expression denotes a period of three fulls days including both days and nights, but culminates "on the third day", that is, on the part of the third day in which Esther went in to the king.
There are many such examples of this custom of reckoning days in the jewish culture.
    PROPHECY
There are at least three explicit prophecies that Christ was to fulfill in His death:
His body would see no corruption:
Psalm 16:10 "For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor will You let Your Holy One see corruption".
    He was the Living Manna:
John 6:51 "I am the living bread(manna) which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
Exodus 16:19 "And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.
20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.
21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.
22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
23 And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.
25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord: to day ye shall not find it in the field.
26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none."
As the Manna was preserved from corruption by a special miracle over the Sabbath hours, and ONLY the Sabbath hours, this is the onlt time Christ could be dead and expect to be preserved from corruption.
This is exactly what we find, Christ died on Friday afternoon, was laid in the sepulchre Friday Evening(Sabbath), lay in state over the Sabbath day, and rose the thrid day(Sunday evening) before sunrise.
Is this timing copnfiormed anywhere else in Tanakh? Yes:
Hosea 6:2 After two days will he revive us(2 days and 2 nights): in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also.
    Forgiveness without sacrifice?
The Rabbi said 'If the people of Nineveh could be forgiven without sacrifice, why do we need Jesus?'
Well, why did the Jews need sacrifice if it wasn't necessary for their forgiveness?
Leviticus 17:11 explicitly says "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."
So confessing your sins alone cannot atone for your soul.
The fact is that Jonah himself acknowledged that faith in the Temple ministry of sacrifice was integral to salvation, "My prayer came to You, TO YOUR HOLY TEMPLE. Those who cling to worthless idols forsake faithful love. But with the voice of thanksgiving I WILL SACRIFICE TO YOU; I will fulfill what I have vowed. Salvation is from the Lord! Then the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.”
The sacrifices in Tamid ministry of the Sanctuary were atonal on behalf of the repentant gentiles:
“…these I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in MY HOUSE OF PRAYER; THEIR BURNT OFFERINGS and THEIR SACRIFICES will be accepted on my altar; FOR MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL PEOPLES.’ The Lord God, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, declares, I will gather yet others to him besides those already gathered.’” - Isaiah 56:7-8
Note that the men who threw Jonah into the sea recognized the role of sacrifice and repentance:
“So they picked up Jonah, threw him into the sea, and the sea stopped its raging. Then the men feared the LORD greatly, and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD and made vows.” - Jonah 1:15-16
    The third day:
When one looks at Jesus' staements regarding "the third day", it's fairly obvious that it includes His arrest, trial, death and resurrection:
Luke 24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
Luke 24:7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Luke 24:26 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day...
Matthew 17:22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:
23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.
Mark 9:31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
Matthew 16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
Mark 10:34 And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
So there is a very good explanation for the three days and three nights, they were the fullness of the passion of Christ from His prayer in Gethsemane until His resurrection.
The sign of Jonah was that "whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life", just as the Ninevites repented at the preaching of Jonah and were covered by the blood of the Sanctuary.

As we are on the subject of the Sign of Jonah, I will avail myself of the opportunity to present the 21st century theology of Yeshu ben Pantera's three descriptions of that sign.
Starting with Mark 8, we see that ben Pantera emphatically stated that no sign from heaven would be given to first century Israel ("this generation.") Proceding to Luke 11 we see that ben Pantera berated the crowds for their desire for a sign from heaven and went on to say that the only sign that Israel would receive would be the sign of his ministry. He compared his ministry to that of the Prophet Jonah and then defined his ministry as the Sign of Jonah, the only sign that first century Israel would receive. This passage fits in very well with ben Pantera's forceful prohibition of any miraculous "sign from heaven" for Israel in Mark 8.
In Matthew 12 ben Pantera gave another description of the Sign of Jonah, but this time he did not designate it for "this generation," but instead promised it to "an evil and unfaithful generation." Here we can begin to unravel this centuries old mystery by understanding that the words, "a generation," are not era specific and can be legitimately taken to refer to any generation, even our own. How, you may ask, could ben Pantera's prophecy of a less than 72 hour burial become extant in modern times? Archaeological evidence is the answer to that question. The Gospels record that ben Pantera's linen shroud was found in his tomb. If that cloth is still in existence, it might contain forensic evidence as to that rabbi's duration of burial.
We have many websites that debate, one way or another, the authenticity of the Turin Shroud. That debate is beyond the scope of this discussion. Here, for the sake of our thesis, we will take the liberty of assuming that the Shroud is authentic. The images on the Shroud were first photographed in 1898, and the photo-negatives allowed for a more detailed study than was previously possible. That, together with the modern science of forensic pathology, resulted in the finding that the corpse depicted on the Shroud had been removed from that cloth less that 48 hours after its death. The Shroud's images showed a corpse in an advanced state of rigor mortis, and no signs of bodily decay were discovered. Usually, when a deceased person is interned in a shroud, the decay of the body destroys the linen fabric. But that did not happen here. Strangely, none of the blood stains on the Shroud were disturbed by the removal of the bloody corpse and none of the linen threads are torn. The conclusion is that this corpse had to have been removed by a non-mechanical means. In other words, it vanished!
And there we have the Sign of Jonah of Matthew 12 which is the miraculous image of Yeshu ben Pantera's dead body on the Turin Shroud.

The Chronovisor is FAKE. Fatima was a Sundog. We shouldn't need the Witchcraft of Fake Idols to believe in HaShem. Besides, there are copies of the Shroud, so how were those fabricated? Medieval people were more clever than we were.

Jesus forgave sin before the cross which of course upset the Jews bc G-d is not a man. Did Jesus actually forgive sin while alive and well ...if an observant Jew I highly doubt it. Animal sacrifice was used for unintentional sin or a guilt offering, only. Intentional sin was handled the same way we handle it today in a court of law. I'm not sure what sect Jesus belonged to but while he condemned the Pharisee's behavior, he didn't condemn their torah teachings. Christianity is the opposite of Judaism and I blame Paul for this along with gospel writers who never knew Jesus, either. However, the doctrine made sense to pagans bc it was nothing new to them. Virgin births, man gods, human sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin, trinities, resurrections, ascensions etc their legends were filled with such beings. Thank you, Rabbi Singer, the voice of reason. :o)

Abraham had two sons….which are 2 covenants. Ishmael the natural born son is the covenant of the law and they were sent into the desert. Just as Moses went with the children of Israel into the desert to receive the 1st covenant of Ishmael the law. The other supernatural born son covenant is based on faith. As it says in genesis 15 Abram believed God and it was counted as righteousness. This is the covenant God wanted to happen but Abraham got impatient and planted his seed in the bond woman instead of the free woman.
Therefore God had to bring forth the slave covenant of the law/ishmael covenant which was meant for the ishmaelites but the children of Israel adopted this covenant as we see they went with Moses into the desert and were given the law…to be of the law is to be of slave to it just as Ishmael and his mother were sent into the desert.
We can tell when the Ishmael covenant would be over when a child of a supernatural birth happened like Isaac which was Jesus. Now is the time for salvation through faith in Jesus as God originally intended.
Right now the law/ishmael is on pause that the Isaac covenant could come forth right now,. Once Jesus collects all those who put faith in Jesus at the end of the 2000 years then he will reinstate the Ismael/law covenant and combine it with Isaac/faith covenant. The law part will be only for holiness as the blood of bulls and goats can’t take away sin it only covers it. The Issac covenant is the faith in Jesus covenant that removes sin.
The Isaac covenant which will be faith in Jesus for salvation will also be in effect during the millennium because God will combine the Old Testament covenant/the law and the New Testament covenant /Faith in Jesus to make one united covenant
We see the temple and the levitic priesthood on earth therefore it has to be combining the old covenant of the law and the new Issac covenant of faith . If you need faith for salvation Jesus can’t be on earth or the faith factor is gone….Being it is a levitic priesthood David can’t be high priest….see how the 2nd anointed has to be the high priest because in levitic priesthood you have to have a high priest separate from the kingship or you cancel the levitic priesthood and make it melchelzedek order therefore flawing the law as Jesus said not one jot or one tille will change ge until heaven and earth pass away

7:26 In studying the tanakh its fishy, I believe its being edited against our PERFECT Messiah. And there are also errors, discrepancy and contradiction. We trust God's laws/commandments only and we bother not of its erroneous.
So if there are errors so could it be also against our PERFECT Messiah Yahshua---there's no doubt about Jews according to prophecy in the tanakh.
Here's the truth, when I was once in the world of darkness, I was once like St. Paul against Christians becoz I hate the God's WORD especially the NAME of Jesus preached unto me---Jesus' Name so sharp it pieced my heart spiritually and arousing great anger within---God's WORD so sharp like sharp stake driven within like 🔥 I couldn't bear hearing Jesus' Name---that I shut my ears from hearing it...thanks to the NAME of Jesus at last delivered me from devil's possession from a long struggle against the Name of Jesus, set free from the power of darkness of the kingdoms😂 of heaven, within surface of earth, and beneath seabed 0:53 [Exo. 20:4].

for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
Well those fiction writers back in the day where really good, or god, depence on how deep the fiction goes.
Perhaps all those fantastic liers where part of a devilish cult, the scary christians spreading the good
    news.
I often wonder why people mostly have stopped sacrificing them selfs for love of others, why fear has them
in its grip, rendering them paralysed with fear ?
Well it´s not our Lord that fills them with fear, it´s what they choose. In my hour of need, my greatest despair,
god came and pulled me out of the abyss in a split second, and he put me in a place witch nun of you
would ever beleve, it was the miracle of my life.
This was around midnight, and after this miracle I wanted to go outside and knock on the door of every
human being in the world, to tell them that god is real.
I was not a sleep during this miracle, I was in a state of total despair, unable to think straight, unable to
    live really.
God will bring us home, be with not against, be full of love not an empty vessel, love all not a few selected,
Do to others as you would have them do to you. I tell you all men are brothers and sisters, even though
you do not know them all.
Some are lost in darkness, blinded by the world they see, they stumble trough cities of concrete jungles,
hoping to find some love and peace, and yet others read scribes and memories numbers, but forget
to pray to be shown the way,
the truth is one and only one, not many, not your truth or his truth. The truth set for us, on our behalf,
it is unchanging, its what makes us content, secure, unafraid, inviting, truthfull, lovable, and least but not
    last, peacefull.
This is what I have learned thus far from the teachings of Jesus the rabbi, who was a jew like Tovia
the rabbi, but perhaps not as clever in knowing the truth.
May Abba bless you all and guide you in your lives.

@2:52 Respectfully, but Rabbi Singer is wrong. First off, we don't appeal to that Jewish law. We appeal to the Law which says that no work is to be done on Shabbat. If you read the NT it says Yeshua was crucified on the preparation for Passover which would've been Thursday. We know this because it says that the religious leaders asked Pilate to speed up the process because the Torah says no dead bodies are to be left on display during Passover. If you do the math that means Yeshua was dead Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
@4:53 he then repeats the same false statement that there's nothing in Tanakh that says Messiah will die. The entire chapter of Isaiah 53 is about Messiah dying unjustly at G-d's own doing. Daniel 9 v.25-26, "Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times. 26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined" (NKJV). Historically, only Yeshua fits this prophecy. It says Messiah will be cut off and then the people of the prince will come in and destroy the city of Jerusalem and the temple. Yeshua was crucified around 30A.D. The Romans came in 70 A.D. and destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the temple. And don't forget Psalms 16 v.10 which says that G-d will not allow the Messiah to decay. And you can't say it doesn't mean the physical decay of the human body because it's the same expression used by Job in Job 17 v.14.
To his last point about Jonah:
It's not inconsistent with the NT. Firstly, Jonah was not willing to accept G-d's forgiveness of the peope of Nineveh. Historically, the Assyrians had invaded the northern kingdom of Israel and enslaved the people. They also were known for being barbaric. In particular, they were known for skinning people alive. So when they repented and G-d forgave them it angered Jonah. Here's the problem. There's one little aspect of this account in the Tanakh that needs to be mentioned. To help Jonah understand His ability to forgive, G-d allowed for a plant to grow. He then let a worm eat the plant and caused it to wither in the heat and Jonah became angry with G-d over the plant. Then G-d said to Jonah, "You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night. 11 And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left and much livestock?" (NKJV).
G-d rebuke Jonah for his inability to understand that G-d can show forgiveness to people who don't seem to deserve it just as He had shown Jonah the same compassion with the plant providing him shade. The people of Nineveh repented at the warning of Jonah. It's the same thing in the NT. If we repent of our sins and hear G-d's warning, (all who reject Messiah will not be held blameless Deuteronomy 18), then we too can be forgiven. Yes there was no sacrifice made but at the same time the people of Nineveh didn't undergo an Orthodox conversion. They simply repented and accepted G-d's offer of forgiveness.

Why should Jesus have been sticking to a day to mean a full day, in Matthew 12:40? He did not keep the Sabbath and other rules the way the Pharisees said He should.
He was in the heart of the earth on Thursday day and night, Friday day and night, Saturday day and night. He was in a dungeon from Thursday evening until Friday morning, and in a tomb from Friday evening until the early hours of Sunday.

Where does the Bible say Jesus was crucified on Friday? That is an invention of the Catholic Church. He was crucified before the Passover. If I have my math correct, he would be crucified on Thursday or maybe it was Wednesday. It depends on the time and the day he actually came out of the grave not the time Mary Magdalene saw him.

The Worldwide Church of God used to use the 3 days and 3 nights argument to tell other Christians that their Good Friday and Easter Sunday tradition was flat out wrong.
They missed a more important point that Jonah was alive the whole time somehow. And the most important point of Nineveh's repentance causing God to cancel the destruction totally goes over their head---for Jonah never preached "the gospel" of Jesus' human blood sacrifice abd resurrection to them!

This ‘Rabbi’ claims that ‘an after 3-day resurrection’ Weltanschauung is ‘no where anywhere in Tanakh (Torah-Neviim-khetuvim = the canonical Hebrew ‘scriptures that defile the hands’, a very odd Rabinnic expression meaning ‘canonical holy writings capable of being read aloud in synagogues’ ) whereas the ‘scroll of the book of the [albeit minor] prophet Hosea 6:1 & 6:2 even in the mangled pointed (vowelled) Hebrew text version of the late masoretic tradition of the Leningrad codex out of Russia c. 1008 CE which modern ‘Protestant Christians’ & Rabinnic (non-sacrificial) ‘Jews’ actually believe is their ‘official single holy text’ [!!] states :
‘[For two days he will leave us for dead] but after two days have pass’d he shall heal us by binding up our wounds-yea, on the third day he shall revive us, so that we might live [forever] in front of his face[s].’
Does Singer think for a minute that ‘Christians’ do not milk these two tiny verses for all they can squeeze out of them ?
‘No where in Tanakh does it say ANYTHING like this’ is a bold-fac’d lie - and even tho’ these two verses from a ‘minor prophet’ are open to many interpretations it would have been charming of this person (who styles himself a ‘Rebbe’ and as a modern Hebrew speaker must also have been train’d in how to read & understand unpointed paleoHebrew found in the book of Hosea) not only in its ‘masoretic incarnation’ but also in all of its forms including the Aramaic targum) -
Which naturally ‘begs the question’ : Why aren’t you expounding on Hosea 6:1-2 even from a modern Rabinnic point of view ?
Even to catch a tiny glimpse of how 1st century messianic Jews ‘interpreted’ their larger canon of Hebrew Scriptures you only have to read the pesherim scrolls from the Dead Sea Qumran fragments (e.g. the well preserved Pesher on the [minor] prophet Habakkuk which goes to EXTREME lengths to interpret the unpointed consonantal text versions in front of them in terms of their own ‘Teacher of Righteousness’ and the ‘End of Days’ Community he founded (BCE c. 154 to June 68 CE)
Without comparing contemporary Jewish messianic sects with early Christianity is like writing a lengthy book on WWII without bothering to mention Adolph Hitler and the National Socialist Party (aka the NAZIs) !!

It amazes me that it doesn't occur to you that not a single prophet warned you that there would be a fake Messiah. How odd. Seems like a big thing to leave out. If Christ didn't reveal everything in the book of Revelation, some first century Jew must have been one hell of a psychic, because he laid out the coming of Islam to a t. @@WMedl - if you examine very closely how 1st century Jewish messianists (many of whom became ‘Christians’) handled Pesherim ‘interpretations’ of Hebrew Scriptures in and outside of the later Hebrew canon of ‘books which defile the hands’ (canonical scripture) in the Dead Sea scrolls fragments found at Qumran & wadi Muraba’at & elsewhere (in unpointed Hebrew PLURIFORM copies that were some 1,200 years OLDER than the later Masoretic pointed text used ‘as the only pure text’ (!!) of the Hebrew Scriptures (including minor prophets such as Hosea & Habakkuk &c) you might be surprised at what license these people took with their consonantal texts -
see e.g. the Scroll of the Book of the Pesher of Habakkuk which combs thro’ the Hebrew consonantal text which underlay some of the later LXX Septuaginta Greek versions, they go to EXTREME lengths to ‘interpret’ the oracles in the book in terms of their own founder ‘The Teacher of Righteousness’ and the ‘Wicked High Priest’ or ‘the Kittim’ (Roman occupiers of Judaea after 63 BCE after Pompey’s invasion of Yerushalayim) where each verse is ‘interpreted, this refers to the xxx’ which is what we see in the Christian Greek translation of the Aramaic epistle of Judas Didymos Thomas (‘Jude’) 1:14 which quotes ‘the scroll of the Book of the Words of Henoch, 7th from Adam to all the sons of light in the last days’ as ‘holy scripture’ -
e.g. ‘Interpreted, this refers to the scoffers & the cavillers in the last days who blaspheme against haShem’ etc whose text had zero to do with the later ‘Jesus movement’s enemies’ at all…
Long story short, 1st century Jewish messianists had little regard for ‘literal interpretstions’ but rather relied on their ‘prophets & teachers & Meqaberim (‘overseers’) to interpret the text any way they saw fit - so ‘for two days he shall leave us for dead but on the third day he shall raise us up…’ especially in the Aramaic Targum of Hosea 6:1-2 from c. 60 BCE (about 1000 years OLDER than the pointed Russian masoretic codex Leningradensis of c. 1008 CE) when combined with other texts these desperate messianic Jews of the 1st century especially prior to the 1st failed Jewish war against Rome (66-74 CE) such as ‘In that day you will not give my soul over to death, neither shall you allow your Holy One to see corruption’ in the Aramaic Targum of Psalms 16:10 (which the earliest ‘Christians’ interpreted, like so many other unconnected texts, ‘Messianically’ according to their ‘messiah-Christ’ - since ‘corruption of a corpse’ was thought in those days to occur only after 3 1/2 days - meaning, to 1st century Jewish messianists who regarded Psalms 16:10 as a sign that the ‘Meshia’q of Yisroel’ would be raised back to life before ‘the decomposition of the flesh of a corpse’ could begin…
So reading ONLY the very late masoretic text may not be very helpful in gaining any insight as to exactly how early Christians saw these oracles …
There are about 50 or so if these oracles extracted from different places in the Hebrew Scriptures that Jewish messianists of the 1st century of the ‘common era’ [CE] interpreted ‘messianically’ - especially weird & invomprehendible to modern Rabinnic Jews who typically are ignorant of the many PLURIFORM versions of their ‘holy books’ and insist on ONLY using a single & much later & different ‘pointed’ Hebrew text (the MT) which is often at odds with the text families used not only by the earliest ‘Christian communities’ but also the Dead Sea scroll Zafokite Covenanters & ‘Jesus’ himself (see his ‘non Masoretic’ reading of the prophet protoYeshua’qu (Isaiah) in Luke’s abbreviated recitation in Luke 4:18 when ‘Jesus’ is in the Kafar-Nakhum synagogue of his home town reading from the Aramaic Targum of Isaiah 61:1-6 …

Rabbi I do agree with you that Christians have not been careful to what they aknowledge to be Cannon or have been too quick to judge a book by its cover. Unlike most Christian’s and why I cannot say I am one, or at least holding many of the pagan traditions or beliefs as they do. I do however believe in the message and example of Yeshua aka Jesus, and see Him as Moshiach. I don’t believe He was against the Oral Torah as he expressed in Matt 23:1-3. I think where most Christian’s jump the gun and outright call the oral Torah in its entirety something to be excluded, not all of His followers see that way. Some of us get the bigger picture and message that further is expressed in that chapter mentioned above. Where some man made interpretations, given their in depth search for clarity, looked so far in to the detail of the clarity of the law that forgot to see sometimes the bigger picture, and that through some traditions made through interpretation, or let’s call them Rules or Codes, were given more credit at times than the actual instructions Hashem made in written form that all knew. Common folk and sage alike.
So I agree that Christian’s have mistakenly thrown out the oral Torah all together. I believe that it is valid so long as it does not contradict itself with the instructions or written Torah and law He ensured His people to know and learn the basics of.
In regards to Jonah’s story, I believe Christian’s are still very confused on the 3 day timing for a few reasons.
    1) They don’t understand the Hebrew calendar and it’s moedim or appointed times that seemed were occurring around this time of Pesach, what most see as the “last supper”. So one of the Shabbats occurring during this time May not have been an actual 7th day or Saturday. So many Christian’s I believe misunderstand some of its wording when they mention Shabbat.
    2) we don’t have exact concrete evidence of what exact year this is that we can trace it back to what cycle per the year it was that this moedim May have fallen to and what day of the week it was. Many are close if not on point but there is still much debate on its certainty.
    3) there is still information missing from history that is still being unearthed to this day and so followers of Yeshua don’t have all of the scripts as many are still waiting to be found, revealed or finally shown to us given we know much is kept by the Jewish people and the Vatican that holds many secrets still unknown to us followers. However we do see plenty of connections to draw the lines. I mean the book of Enoch goes in depth of many things the NT explains as does many other “non-cannon” scriptures. So could that be what is being referred to as “scriptures” as you mentioned that was said twice? We don’t know all the “scriptures” they had in their position at the time as it seems they have many sources that again are still partially unknown to us. Many other books that seem to show fragments of what Yeshua taught like in the book of Adam and Eve which is believed to have been between 20 BC and 70 AD. Also “the Testament of the 12 Patriarchs” that seems to include much of what was being explained by Yeshua in this time and also came about in writting form around the same time of NT writings and some of the Tanach but also show a very Hebraic overview of the patriarchs.
So overall I do see a lot of Christian misunderstanding and why I believe it is a time of Jewish knowledge to occur and help the Nations better understand some of the misunderstandings we have. On the flip side I do see the connections Yeshua mentions and that Christian’s believe and I think you did a fair job of seeing this objectively noticing that it does stem from Oral Law. However I do think that one seems to go more with the moedim vs the actual part of the day given it was night when Judas Iscariot brought the Roman’s and it was the beginning of night or time at the 9th hour which coincides with the time of the Temples ritual sacrifice. Begging the Shabbat practices of the Ceder.
But furthermore, I see the connection of Jonah’s story to Yeshua given Yonah was concerned for His own people that had failed many times and Hashem seem to be much more harsh on than the rest of the world, yet here this unclean people after all their wickedness could be forgiven that easily. Yonah saw this as very unjust to His own people and why he was displeased or why it seems he rather die than betray His own. I see this same cycle of story of Yeshua doing the same for His people. Almost His silent disapproval to Hashem or taking the burden for His people and a similar story to that of Moshe when He advocated for the people and chose to rather be blotted out from His book, which we see occur in Parshah Tetzveh until the end of the book of Numbers.
Thank you once again Rabbi for your honest review and sharing of so many hidden mysteries we still are all learning of! 🔥

After reviewing most of the narrative, I have to admit that Rabbi has a valid point. Yeshu's death on the cross is not necessary for salvation or for YHWH's forgiveness of sin.
Yeshu demonstrated that he had the power to forgive sin. It does not make sense that he would be forced to undergo such a terrible ordeal in order for humanity's sins to be forgiven if he had the power to forgive those sins.

First lets see the scriptures of Daniel 9
    “And after the sixty-two weeks
    Messiah shall [j]be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
    27 Then he shall confirm a [k]covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the [l]desolate.”
The messiah suffering servant shall come and lay down his life before the destruction of the sanctuary the second temple and this happened in 30 AD and after 40 years the destruction of temple came in 70 AD as predicted in the book of Jonah.
The people of nineved believed Jonah and repented and beven after 40 days nothing happened for G-d forgave them.
But with Yeshua its not so he was dispised and rejected and led to the slaughter as a lamb of G-d the suffering servant and by his wounds we are healed.
In daniel 9:27 it clearly mentions the death of Messiah which is in the middle of the week which is wednesday.
Now on wednesday he died and was burried before sundown before the sabbath of unleavened bread.
    Wednesday evening-1st night
    Thursdsy morning-1st day
    Thursday evening 2nd night
    Friday morning -2nd day
    Friday evening-3rd night
    Saturday morning -3rd day
So by saturday sundown Yeshua rose from the dead.
    Not sunday morning
Nor was yeshua died on Friday

There are biblical scholars that regard the mention of 3 days and 3 nights [72 hours]- as a scribal gloss, to account for the contradiction, If the biblical Jesus wanted to show he fulfilled the sign he needed to appear in public before his detractors, in the christian narrative Jesus only appeared in private to close friends, but the enemies falsely assumed he failed.

Jewish believers in the time of the Christ did not questioned those sayings? They understud the meaning of three days and three nights. Just as they understud the saying. . "Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel." The people of Nínive will be judged according with their deeds. Jews will be judged according with their deeds and Christians will be judged according to their deeds. As a believer one saying or word I don't understand is not going to stop my faith. Tovia this is kind of a straw man argument. The Lord Yeshua was not a Roman Catholic and neither were the Jewish apostles. So when you bring Roman Catholic teaching (which has Jesus being crucified on "Good Friday") you are not being honest with what the NT scriptures teach. The fact is that the crucifixion was on Thursday afternoon (being the 14th day Passover that year), then Friday would have been the high Sabbath on the 15th day, that always follows the 14th day sacrifice (and why they were rushing to get Jesus in the tomb, before that Sabbath began). Then of course you have the Saturday Sabbath, and then Jesus arose from the dead Sunday morning very early. He thus fulfilled the Passover sacrifice, but also the first fruits offering (which was to be on the "morrow of the Sabbath" Lev. 23:11). Also, the book of Jonah says three days and three nights (Jonah 1:17), it does not say exactly three days and three nights, or exactly three 24 hour periods, using a digital time piece.

Jesus the jew, would not rise, to keep the SHABBAT. That is why the first day of the week is (sun-day) the 1st day of the week. Jesus fulfilled where all manly, tempted, lustful, lust of eyes, lust of the flesh, and pride of life is in all Human manly men jew or not. NO MAN MESSIAH OF FLESH INCARNATED CAN FULFILL ANY MESSIAHSHIP THAT IS PERFECT ENOUGH FOR GOD. Take.your Son your Son, YOUR ONLY SON............. Men Messiahs all fail including Saul and David. Is it not David that was not to build the house of G-D? But yet DAVID SON SHLOMO (SOLOMON) was able to but did also fail G-D? THESE 2 MESSIAH'S ALONE FAILED G-D. YET G-D FORGAVE THEM.BOTH AND HAD ONE BUILD HIS HOLY HOUSE. SO THE SAYING IS.......... IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DONE, YOU HAVE TO DO IT YOURSELF......... I (G-D) WILL BE, WHAT I WILL BE......... G-D IS ALL AND HIS SON IS WHOMEVER HE WISHES IT TO BE. HUMANS THINK THAT G-D SHOULD DO AS THEY WANT OR THINK. WE BOTTLE HIM AND MAKE HIM AN IMAGE AS WE CHOSE HIM TO BE. JESUS IS THE SON OF G-D AND HE IS THE ONLY BEGOTTEN AS ISAAC WAS TO ABRAHAM AND SARAH. G-D IS NOT A Man that fails and thinks to a certain capacity, but then doubts his or her thoughts. G-D is what HE will be, and if HE did choose JESUS/JOSHUA/YESHUA to be HIS mouth, HIS REPRESENTATIVE, THEN WHO ARE WE TO CONDEMN IT. The people that call jesus G-D don't know any better. I don't judge them.or comdemn them. ALL HUMANS ARE BLIND, PERIOD.
