They just released a second photo this morning. This is NOT an upgraded S50... its just 1/3rd of the size of the S50 and it a widefield competitor to the Dwarf III.
I'm keeping my eye out on FB groups for good buys. There is a great astronomy forum called Cloud Nights too in which I've bought and sold a bit on over the years. Might be good to keep an eye out there too.
My guess is that THIS image is an SS50 with the ability to have a camera that will rotate with the sky. The small camera will act like a guide scope to accurately rotate the camera to maintain the framing. EQ BABY!
I also metal detect and metal detecting manufacturers are constantly doing this when they release a new product. They show a certain side and a short while later release a new product and people do the same thing sell their old equipment to get something new. Someone tried to figure out the lens size by using the control box as a base but I am thinking that control box is wider, we shall see.
No it's a 30mm objective. ZWO are intent going toe to toe with DwarfLabs. Incidentally might explain why they have taken their concentration from updating the ASiair properly.
Thank you for this information. I think the current Seestar has no teething problems, and is proven. My first Seestar is due to be delivered today. It's a shame that the weather is going to be bad in the near future.
Yea, the more I read the more I think it's just about maybe making mosaics easier? I've tried putting the S50 on my star adventurer wedge but then still have to go through an elaborate game of fooling it as to my lat/long. A pain. What improvements do you think it will bring?

I'm hoping it comes with a 585 sensor for under $700.
@@millenialfalcon8243 I'm hoping my wife doesn't complain too much when I buy it!
My Christmas present!

See star is not the brand, that would be ZWO, what you should be saying is more Seestar news from ZWO.

Usual curse of a new scope. More reliable than a "rain dSkies!
Clear skies!

@@Chorge1972 I just got the S50 4 months ago.. time to upgrade.
Just better sensor and mosaic, I think. They would never give us all we need from it (like eq, 60 quad and top sensor, etc.)
You really think, that it’ll be EQ?! I doubt, sorry

@@UTRMidwestat least it must be able to compete with the new dwarf 3. Any EQ mode at least in the software seems to be a musst, I guess
It's called field rotation
