One could argue that after 4 years 0% PCP you son will have paid just over £6k. Should he wish to walk away at that point then that is dead money. i.e. he has lost £6000 as has noting to show for it. Compare that to say saving £125 month say over 2 years (a novel approach these days) then spend the £3k on a perfectly fine machine which after a further 2 years will still be worth around £2.5k. Thus losing only £500 over a 4 year period compared to £6000 on a PCP. The cost of “future issues” is clearly a scare tactic dreamed up by those looking to increase sales figures by getting people to buy kit that they simply can’t afford…….
I completely disagree. Equally, he won’t take it full term, so that’s not an issue either. From a father’s perspective I have no desire him having an older bike with the potential issues that that could bring. So he saves 125 over 2 years, that doesn’t solve his or anyone else’s issue should they need bigger and more reliable transport. I would guess you also still carry around a debit card because it feels safer.
pcp allows people to think they have bought something that they actually can't afford. However, for the record, I recently got myself a pcp on the 1300gs, but I could've afforded to buy one but choose not to for out 20k+ on a bike.

Shocker 😮
I think the sentiment of scare tactic is at best naive
Got it 😂
Good.

Of course if you lose your job you may have a problem.
True but that goes the same for your mortgage
Unsecured loan , so paying your car or bike off is the last worry
Thank you for agreeing!
