I had this car when I was 17 years old in 2001. 1990 Celica GTS. I just got my license and had myself one of these. At the time my friends thought it was a really cool car. Well it is!! My dream car at that time was a 1998 Toyota Supra. This Celica was as close as I can get to that plus this was my older brother’s car until he got a 2001 BMW 3 series coupe. I miss my Celica. So many memories made with that car. The journeys and the stories are epic!
that's awesome! it was either this, an eg hatch, or an fc rx7, and i ended up with this. it also helps that my gf has a jdm celica as well so we match lol

I have the same 2 wheel drive front wheel drive but 4ws with a single turbo engine and I luv it. It runs like a aeroplane. The pik of the car is amazing.

That mirror comes in cause they drive and park on the other side of the road in Japan, so when it's parked it makes it Hader to hit on accident
I got a 1990 gtfour that mas a bit molested under the hood by the previous owner. Mid rebuild rn but this has restored my drive to get it back on the road :)

Ive never had a 4ws car, but my Legend had extremely wide angle lock to lock, and turned kinda like that at low speeds...love the Celica bro...enjoy it.

Great video, I have the exact same model, 1990 celica GT-R, both mirrors are ment to fold in together btw, you car looks really clean, I'm in Ireland and my car is getting a repaint soon as its rusty, if you look after that car it will be worth more money in years to come

Love all 5th gens. I had a bunch of jdm goodies on my GT coupe
where did you get those bumper turn signal markers? I'm going like mad trying to find them...
also, on a sidenote, you have to check the electrical wiring on the mirror folders, the folding mirrors work on both sides of the car, meaning you must have a shotty LH Mirror, or maybe a faulty fuse.

Do yourself a favor, clean the car up and put the stock stuff back on it, it's a classic. Stop modding everything because you're trying to be different just to wined up looking like the same sheep as everyone else. Peoples jaws DROP when they see a classic in perfect OE form from the past, not when they see some modded Frankenstein. OE wheels are the biggest item on the original look check list. I get so disgusted seeing modded trash from the past whose value is completely and utterly ruined because they modded and _personalized_ it. Youth starter pack in dystopian 2024: Tattoos, anti White cRap muse sick, acting like a primate, saying the fa king word _bro_ in every sentence. Thank you for not fitting any of these. Great review. Cherish what you have because it's a gem. there will never be another.
I have a 20 year old Passat 1.8T 4motion 5speed manual. All stock 117k miles. I'll keep this car until I'm gone. Factory 15 inch BBS wheels.
I had a brand new 05 Corolla XRS VVTLi 6 speed manual until it got wrecked. Miss that car terribly. All OE and enthusiast drooled over it. If you have a classic, don't modify it. It's just common sense. The ONLY people who do modify cars are the young ignorant youth who haven't a clue, don't be one of them.

@@WorthlessNickores yep i will👍🏼. i'll never sell this car anyway but the value of it won't be tanked because it has a different set of wheels on it. you're lucky to even see one of these for sale, because they are so rare, so the value of it is just fine. and while it is cool to see an unmodified jdm classic, that's not what i want for this car. stock celica wheels look terrible and the ride height is way too high, and that's not how i want this car to look. i respect people who keep cars oem, and in some cases that's what i would do with a car, but not with this car
