I never understood why they always overlooked visiting Lucy every time Gary & Val came thru Dallas. Lucy was their love child. The writers never really treated Lucy like she was an important part of their lives and that infuriated me. She was their first born for God’s sakes.
Maybe because the writers were trying to portray Gary and Val as a young couple, and Lucy did look like she could be a younger sister to them then a daughter.

Yes! As far as I am concerned...tye Dallas dream season events happened in Knots Landings universe. KL season 7 through 14 are reality in the Dallas dream season world.
There was a scene in this episode where Abby runs into Val in the lobby of the hotel in Dallas. The intercom says there's a call for Mrs. Ewing and Abby and Val both go to get it and run into each other. Abby hadn't married Gary yet, but she was staying his suite.
The first scene with Abby driving up in a taxi, that is not even a hotel. It is a luxury high rise condo building in Dallas on Northwest Hwy, near Preston Road. It's called Preston Towers. I live in Dallas, and it's always so much fun to see actual film locations in Dallas, on Dallas and in this case, KL. It's still there but looks quite dated now. The downtown Dallas looks quite dated as well, many more buildings now. I think this was filmed in 1982. And why was Abby in a taxi, and not a limo? lol....I figured a taxi would be beneath her.
Gary shouldn't be upset that he was only given a Percentage. He never worked at Ewing Oil nor did he contribute to the success of Southfork like Ray Krebbs did. Some Families wouldn't have left Gary Two Of Nothing. Even if Jock didn't take care of him, Miss Ellie may have. I had no idea that Michael Sabatino was on Knots Landing. @Anthony Thompson It was more out of guilt than love. As for Lucy not working at Ewing Oil, The Women were never encouraged to work there. Jock Ewing was very sexist and territorial when it came to The Business. Remember how he wailed on JR after Leslie Stewart ruined The Deal with The Cartel and he said "A Woman's Place Is In The Bedroom, Not The Boardroom!"
Gary wasn’t upset about being given a percentage. The issue was being given interest only on his trust fund money. A separate issue. Plus on Knots Landing, Gary, Abby and JR all mention that Gary worked for Ewing Oil for a time.
The curved building with the busy street in front is in north Dallas. It's actually an apartment or condo tower. I can't tell what hotel they used for the lobby scenes.
Some fans of Dallas, said that when it ended in 1991, it should have been JR finding out, that he was Digger's son and Cliff was his half brother. However, what if it was, that Gary was Digger's son instead and that's why Jock resented him and never verbally mentioned this to Ellie. Possibly JR had his suspicions , that's why he drove Gary away. Imagine if that was the case and Cliff Barnes crossed over to Knots Landing and vice versa. That would have made an intriguing crossover plot. Lucy finding out she's Digger's Grand daughter instead of Jock.
