I much prefer Polearm myself. I'd followed plenty feedback before to determine which one to go with between spear and polearm and the majority recommended polearm so I went with it and have been using it now for quite a while and it serves me well. Don't know if it's just my imagination but I also find parrying is easier with it.

Hmm 🤔 for me I just react to their hands and the white flash. Knowing enemy moves help too.
