Darnold is definitely above average, not elite but above average... he just needs a better offensive line and better running back to help get the tough yards and more experience reading defenses. He can't see the blitz and option and sometimes holds the ball way too long.

Like you said Sam looks like he’s doing everything out there, everyone keeps saying he’s a pocket passer and yet he has no pocket and has ran multiple times to get first downs himself. That’s not a good sign for a QB. That shows lack of judgement by the offensive coordinator, and lack of teaching from the QB coach to teach him all of his options on every play. Broncos are not desirable at the moment but they are nowhere near the disfunction of the Jets. The team shows the product the coaches are putting out on the field because in all honesty Jets had better players out there tonight, Sam Darnold is obviously the more talented QB but the coaching staff is holding them back entirely. Also Joe Flacco is a bad luck charm so that can also be a factor in the Jets downfall lol

There is no talent at WR for the Jets, on the occasion Jet receivers catch the ball, they're more often than not tackled at the spot of the catch. Criminal that Douglas let this team enter the season so receiver-poor.

There was one pats receiver, I don’t remember the name, but he dropped almost everything coming his way last year, everyone said he was nothing but a bust for dropping every pass Tom threw his way. And yet this season he is their top 1 or 2 receiver and looks like he never even had that first season. It ALL depends on coaching. The players response to that is also valuable but almost all of these guys want to play ball. Under a certain coaching staff that love for the game can fade completely. Look what the colts did to Luck, look what the fins did to Matt Moore and many other players under Gase, look at what the rams and chiefs did to Foles! A bad coaching staff can make your love and will for the game fade. It’s always nice to see players get a second chance with another team. While yes receivers dropping balls is bad on their part, the coaching staff isn’t doing their job into making sure they are making that their top priority.

Globo Supremo the Jets? Nah, but Sam Darnold showing his toughness and progress as an NFL QB? Yesss. As a broncos fan I think Sam would end up doing great things in Denver. O-line isn’t much better but I feel as though the Jets just have a coaching staff issue where the broncos have a coaching staff that ends up keeping them in every game even in really tough ones.

I really do feel bad for Sam Darnold, and I am not even a Jets fan. Seriously, with this Jets organization, you can put prime Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, and something will still screw up. The constant turnover of coaching staff, an inability to develop a team identity, this is not the ideal spot for a young QB to be in, no matter how skilled or mature he can be. Something has to change in the Jets organization if they want to stop being a laughing stock, and it has to start at the top (looking at a certain coach named Gase).

Lot of takeaways from this game. - Darnold is not a pocket passer as a lot of us thought he was - Rypien looks as if he gets the right coaching, he has potential to become one of the best backups in the league. - Broncos offense is still ok despite all the injuries - Desir cant seem to decide whether hes good or not
Broncos still have there RB1, TE1, and a decent group of WR that should improve as the season goes on. I'm not sure about the oline but they still have a decent group of guys at skill positions.

On the bright side it was cool to finally see Darnold be mobile like he was back in HS. There were a few plays i know he wanted to stay in the pocket but damn man gotta have a sense of urgency especially with this receiver core not being able to get room or catch jack. Every drive felt like “how are we gonna make it ten yards?” Could be Darnold, the receivers, or maybe the offense itself but damn we need to work on a lot of things. Oh yeah and GETGASEOUT.
What a phenomenal block by Rypien on that Gordon TD.
That darnold run is exactly why the QB slide rule is ridiculous. You can see him slow up like he was going to slide, the bronco defender back off, and he takes it to the end zone.
