That bit about the black hole made me think of a solution. If you were to send a probe down a black hole with conventional radio signaling, it wouldn't be able to send any information after the event horizon (assuming it could go that far), because the radio waves would be sent at the speed of light; it would be sucked in. To overcome this problem, would future civilization's tech be able to harness the power of the theoretical particle called a tachyon, which has the speed of light as it's speed minimum? If we do confirm the existence of tachyons, would future tech be able to harness it for instantaneous communication throughout the galaxy?! Go large hadron collider! Alright, end of geeky rant.
