It’s so weird to hear someone say “I even went to a restaurant for the first time in four years” and know exactly what a triumph that feels like. This was me a few weeks ago. I’m digging my way out of a pit. It’s really good to hear stories like this. My fatigue walloped me today for the first time in a few weeks and it’s a good reminder to stay focused. I don’t know why it happened but hearing someone else describe their similar story and journey out…it’s useful. Thanks, and keep going 🙌😎

I had identified an ENT clinic to go to for it when I'm well enough to leave the house again, but if DIYing it is possible, even better! Thank you, Neal.

Can you also talk about Cervical Cranial instabilty? I’m having chronic fatigue after a tonsillectomy in February, and i have read about Cci, which can cause lots if not all of the Cfs symptoms because of the vagus nerve. When i do vagus nerve exercises i’m a lot better, i hope to be one of the recovered on your channel one day

@@inmalikp yes, but if there is a mechanical cause, you have to fix that in order to regain your perfect health shape. I read that after a big infection/inflammation of the throat also your c1 and c2 vertebra can get inflamed leading to CCI. I used to have also a bad posture and i already had an Hernia in L5-S1, so my spine is not very healthy despite my young age :(

@@francescogrossholz8221 I am sorry for that, and I totally agree with you. It's just that I have watched many ppl improve their symptoms even when there were mechanical / physiological causes, so I have to believe that these things help a bit as an addition to the more physical centered therapies.

Thanks for this interview. Particularly the part about finding joy where you can. I have PEM but for me it's reverse: cognitive effort brings it on (particulary anything that requires executive functioning/task switching) while physically I am fairly capable these days.
While it's a scary place to be since I cannot work I do try to enjoy the gift of long walks, paddle boarding and e-biking. All a bit slow motion but nonetheless I used to not have extended periods of time for these activities before I got sick.
I also wonder whether I push my exercise too hard sometimes and does that then protract the healing time for my brain. But as you say it would probably just be an even higher mountain to climb if I did nothing.

It’s crazy how differently it affects everyone. But it sounds like you’re doing a good job of running with what you’ve been given! It can take some work to figure out a rhythm but I truly believe there’s a way to slowly ease into the mental stuff just like I’m doing with physical activity. Best of luck and feel free to reach out if you need anything!

I don't think it's classified as surgery, but not 100% sure... there are a few videos of the doctors in Japan doing it that can give you a good idea of what the full treatment is like! I just did my best to replicate it at home from the information I found.
