Don Juan told Carlos that he gave him psychotropics because he was to stupid to figure it out any other way. Wisdom begins when you realize that you don't know anything. The experiences depicted have the common thread of people who just need to get out of the way of THEMSELF. Kick over the bars you were convinced to raise for you to measure YOURSELF by, let go of everything you think you are, and realize that You are LOVE. You are TRUTH. You are LIFE. These are not things that you do, not things at all. These are what you are and always will be. Your entire expression has been you demonstrating to you what you know about YOU.

I’m awe struck that we live in such an amazing universe. Of course psychedelics exist. Why wouldn’t they? We live in such a crazy place. To me it’s weird we don’t just talk with our neighbors every day about how crazy it is that we are here. But we get caught up in things that don’t really matter. I had never looked into psychedelics before and I had been dealing with depression and suicide since I knew what the term meant. After working with ayahuasca and guachuma, I can appreciate and LOVE the side of that is suicidal and depressed. Drugs are powerful catalysts that necessitate a biochemical response to remove blockages and to release untapped reserves of both energy and heat. The more powerful the drug, the greater the body's response. Because of the strong energy release to produce the psychedelic experience, energy-depletion generally follows. Depending on the nature of the drug, strong identification, and sometimes addiction can follow. In yogic literature, drugs are mentioned as an illegitimate path to enlightenment, given that they produce a number of ego-distortions that often come with the high. Kinda like going in through the backdoor to rob a bank, rather than being welcomed as a respected customer through the front door. To steal a glimpse of reality is very different from earning it, and that's what years of meditation practice coupled to right livelihood, humble service, and good works were scripturally intended for. Still, if to have a glimpse of the infinite via a drug is your religion, go at it in a responsible way. Way back when a whole generation of spiritual seekers came to practice meditation via the experience of drugs. Also, many in that generation, as today, ended up in psychiatric as well. Choose your friends and life experiences wisely and season's best through the holidays and into the new year.

@@georgediaz2529 you can go crazy from any intense experience, even those that might occur in normal day-to-day life. If you're predisposed to psychosis or schizophrenia, psychedelics aren't recommended, as they're prone to trigger predisposed mental conditions.
However, the DMT in Ayahuasca is harmless for the very large majority of people, and has been known to treat depression, ptsd, trauma and help deal with repressed emotions. This goes for most psychedelics too, such as psilocybin and LSD, which have been massively misunderstood in history. Definitely the most beautiful experience a human could unlock.

Adrenal Glands are something to look into here with alot of the symptomology here. They sit ontop of the kidneys, if the kidneys are down the adrenals are down and there goes alot of your steroids, sugar metabolism and sodium/potassium work ( allowing nutrients into cells) but most importantly the feeling of depression / anxiety is associated with this gland.
Consciousness is in everything people, plants , cells etc.
The botanicals are created for us to consume for specifics parts within us ( our vehicle) .
Enjoyed watching this, one tool out of many to fit a role we all are seeking

What a beautiful documentery of ayahuasca this is. Thank you Aubrey and Mitch for bringing this with the integrity that this clearly carries. Beautifully shot, a beautiful soundtrack and amazing effects that really portray (as far as a movie can portray an inner experience ofcourse) the experience someone can have during a ceremony with this spirt plant medicine. I wish for you that it has brought you a lot of healing and insights! Greetings from an ayahuasca "fanboy" ;) from the Netherlands.

AMAZING DOCUMENTARY!! Thanks guys. The testimonials are heart-touching, and the graphics and editing really take the video to a next level. I've been wanting to have an Ayahuasca session for over 5 years and every time I have come close, "something" happens and the plan falls apart for some reason (mind you I live in Peru). I understand that Life is telling me that it's not the right time for me... yet, and that I have to find the answers of some of the things I'm looking for by myself. I'll post here whenever I meet with "The Abuelita". Meditate on amigos!

Beautiful documentary. Thank you so much for making it and sharing. Through crazy synchronicities, Ayahuasca has called me, and I am doing the ceremony in June. After a rough time in a sweat, I questioned whether I want to go through with it or not. But again with synchronicities- today my friend who I'm going with posted a poem about courage, and I heard a podcast earlier today about the impact of healed people on the Earth at this time, and as your documentary mentions, which I also watched today, Ayahuasca helps to make us fit for service to Pachamama. So I will be strong and go, and face whatever needs to be cleansed, to hopefully be a better servant and love more freely. Thanks again!

I had the same experience of going so deep with the ayahuasca too that feeling of being nothing such a dark place & not in my body, I think at that point if I wasn’t so scared to let go of my ego I could have discovered or travelled more. On another ceremony I had what I can only describe as another being that was not of this world so tall & amazing I felt such trust & peace, I felt it was a male presence kneeling beside me and waving urging me to follow, at that point too my ego kicked in with not following and exploring the medicine. The biggest thing is to let go of the ego & go with the medicine without fear, trust in mother ayahuasca. Hopefully I can travel soon again when the world opens its flight paths again. Thank you for this video it has reminded me that the work I started still needs to continue. The music too was at my ceremony it instantly brought tears to my eyes. Much love guys with you’re future travels & healing. Thanks again for sharing this to anyone that has yet to start there healing process with ayahuasca.

In August I took aya twice for the first time here in Costa Rica. What was different about this group is that they follow the Santo Daime Church traditions from Brazil. So there was soft lighting throughout much of the night and also the Brazilian shaman along with his helpers, played guitar and sang throughout many parts of the night. I will partake of the Peruvian method someday. Some people say weed is a hard no. At this ceremony some people were smoking before and during the ceremony. One person told me that the aya had previously asked him not to bring weed into the journeys. I quit getting high for like 10 days or so prior to my ceremonies. And I'm glad that I was in a state of enhanced vulnerability, part of which I attribute to the period of sobriety leading up to the experience. For me it was a visual tour. The aya did not ask me nor tell anything audible. I had a tour of centuries of human history, the ocean, the planet and the cosmos. The nausea was intense and the sheer joy of it was also plastered on my face for many parts of it as well. There was a sense of humor to the situations I was observing. I can relate to when one of you said in the film you could not get comfortable or sit still. I was struggling with the same and felt like I was on amphetamines at one point. There are so many ayahuasca documentaries now online that are a dime a dozen. This stands out from the crowd! Thank you for the amazing production.

They key to life is Love. Not just loving the good stuff, but loving the bad stuff too. It's part of the journey and vital for your own growth and your individual, unique path.
