I have been using this particular 18W fast charging adapter to charge my Google Pixel 6a and it works perfectly. Just make sure you use your original USB-C to USB-C cable that came with your Pixel 6a.

To any new users watching this miguided video, do not go for any local or chinese adapters like the one the op is using. These adapters do not have smart IC or Programmable Power Supply (PPS) which helps in adjusting the current /voltage in real time. These adapters will charge your phone at the same rate throughout the whole durations thus causing wear and tear in longer run.
An optimum adapter should only charge at full capacity in the beginning and should reduce the output current if it detects heat or if the battery level reaches beyond 80%.
You will notice these chinese adapter and your phone getting insanely hot while charging because they are unable to control the heat of the battery and continue to peovide high output which can even increase chances of a small blast.
Your best bet for an affordable usb PD PPS comptaible charger is the Samsung 25 W adapter.

Hey Shreya, after all the recent updates, the 6a has improved tremendously in its performance and also the heating issues that the Pixel 6a was plagued with, seem to be extremely well controlled. So, yes, it definitely is worth buying.

USB A port on this adapter is for 18 watt QC3.0 but pixel devices support PD3.0 charging and that is available on usb C port on the adapter. That is why usb-A to usb-c type cable charges pixel 6a device slowly.

yes it is normal, while charging the resistance offered by the chip inside the charger and the circuit is the reason for the heating and the ribbon wires inside the phone is the case of heating inside the phone.

Hi Aditya, as far as wireless BT earphones are concerned, I have used a few from Boat, and those were decently good for the price (between Rs.1,500 and Rs.2,500). I've also used the Samsung Level U1 and U2, both, and these are brilliant for call quality and BT connectivity but not good with content consumption.
Off-late, I have been using the Pixel-buds A-series and these are excellent, except probably the shoddy battery back-up, but overall call quality + music/ video watching experience has been really good. 🤘
As for the USB-C connector, I'll have to do a little research on that front. 🤗

Hello Happy, you can easily find front screen guard on Amazon/ Flipkart. As for a back cover, I would suggest you use one of Spigen's back cover as those are pretty sturdy and look good too. Yes, they're pricey but pretty good, in my opinion.

No, not really. Just make sure that you charge it when actually required and not randomly just keep the phone plugged in all the time. Also, if possible, making sure that you only use an 18W charger (mostly) also helps in preserving the battery and giving it a longer life.

Hello there, I started noticing the Pixel 4a heating issue while charging after the last update that was about a month back. I've been using a Pixel 6a since the past week, and even it gets a little warm (not hot) while charging. So, I am beginning to feel, it is a Pixel device thing. But, I've had no performance issues because of this and I used the Pixel 4a for 1.5 years. It is an amazing phone, enjoy the simplicity and ofcourse create a lot of photos with that brilliant camera. ✌️🤗

Mostly, these dots (blue, purple, green) occur if air is somehow leaked inside where it isn't supposed to. So, this is purely a manufacturing defect or if the phone falls down, it can develop such an issue then too.

I think it is safe, I have tried 18w charging with Xiaomi powerbank in this phone, didn't heat up that much. But definitely using a 10W charger will improve the battery life of our phone after 3 or 4 years

The 6a does heat up, irrespective of whether we use a 18W chargee or the 25W Samsung charger, but as long as it isn't over-heating or shutting down becsuse of heating, everything is fine.

2 adapters aur mangwaye theiy past week, dono aise bakwas nikle. 3.5 hours tak waqt lag raha tha for a full charge (5%-100%). Fir Samsung M51 ke charger se charge kar raha tha, aur ab yeh acha hai since it is actually charging at 18W.

Hello Varun, that exclamation mark on the network bar comes when the phone is not able to find a network to connect to. Try and put the Pixel 6a onto airplane mode and then back to normal mode. And check if it works.
