I just wish you were able to change ships and customise them. I'd have been more than happy with a frigate. I just felt the Jackdaw was too small considering who she went up against.
It's my understanding that the Jackdaw was actually on the larger end of the scale for pirate ships. In general, pirates preferred smaller, faster ships. Frigates and galleons were rare. If I remember right, Kenway even joked about "Is mine bigger than yours?" That said, it would have been awesome in the game to switch between ship types for different purposes but being able to sail a man 'o war might have been OP, especially if you could upgrade it like the Jackdaw.

I wish you could rematch these majestic vessels. Without the reward of course, but the challenge is a reward enough. Also, who else loves that ominous hollow sound when one of the two sister ships or El Impoluto get close to you? Gives me the chills every time.
I remembered running into El Impoluto as the first legendary ship. I had a almost complete elite jackdaw to beat her. Last time I ever got so physically aggressive of beating such a thing. She was the last of the four to go down. And the satisfaction was very rewarding.
For me, the sweatiest ship was La Dame Negra, her long-range mortars made maneuvering very difficult, and the onboard guns took away the health of the Jackdaw very well. It was easier for me to fight with other legendary ships.
Those two were just two level 60 man o wars, just dont get sandwiched and its pretty easy. La dama negra was just go to the back and not get killed. Hms prince was pretty easy. El Impoluto i barely managed to kill after a storm killed it for me after getting it down to barely any health, nearly killed me since it was pretty much facing the jackdaw on roids

Yes, you are right. Me too but Frigates have extremely bad maneuverability compared Brig which Jackdaw was. When we used Black Beard's ship in the game which was a frigate we realized that. Only a brig like Jackdaw can take on two Man O' Wars at the same time with good maneuverability.
I'll never forget the terrifying moment when I first fought El Impoluto. I already killed 3 of the ships at this point and I was horrified when instead of going broadside and firing it charged right at me at full speed. Chunked my Jackdaw to half health with a single attack. It's the only legendary ship that actually killed me the first time. I miss these games.
Yea took me a good 4 tries on it. I had to fully upgrade my hull and ram for it. Instead of running and turning away from it I decided to just full turn into it with my own ram and it worked.
@@IamSnehan I underestimated her for being a Man O' War and when she caught up to pretty I was genuinely surprised. But since I fought with her first in the game without I at first had a bit problem with controls of the ship and those battles refined my controls during my first playthrough. Same goes for LA DAMA NEGRA. Fighting against her and avoiding her special mortar shots helped me during my battle against The Storm Fortress.
The Legendary Ship fights in Black flag were epic. The whole point of approaching the ship and a crew member suddenly describes it menacing aura and then the intense battle music, everything's just perfect. They did dirty with the legendary battles in Rogue. The whole atmosphere was missing and we were fighting with allies which was pretty annoying cause you get unnecessary nuances to take care of as well as the huge ships. The only great thing was The Storm Fortress and she was actually a demon.
I hope for the remaster to allow us to use the legendary ships after we defeat them, imagine attacking forts while using el impolunto while blasting bismark, the memes would be legendary

The only ones I struggled with were the two ones since my strategy was just ram the ship shoot cannons at it until it was dead and it worked until I had to deal with two and then when you sink one the next just charges at you twice your speed.
If they just made the small change of you being able to make a captured ship in your fleet your main ship this would be absolutely perfect. It’s still great but I feel like I’m struggling against these higher level ships and naval bases
El impoluto was indeed a beast, it was so fast and mostly did damage by ramming🥶🥶 I think HMS Prince was the easiest legendary ship to take down in this game.
Yes. HMS Prince is just a normal Man O' War. The only problem was if you fight at night the environment is pretty foggy during this battle and if you are not paying close attention to the radar you can get close to her broadside or within her mortar hit area. During day she is a joke, I mean normal.
How I always pictured the fleet was that you would be able to not only use the fleet as it is out also have those ships follow you and you be able to switch between them at will

on my first playthrough...i defeated the brother in arms first, then went on towards el empulito. so, it crushed me on my first and second chances. then i stopped and went towards hms prince. what i found was....i was heavy shotting hms prince on its broadside, then puckle gun shots were popping up, at that moment hms prince was absolutely frozen idk why, and i was just circling the legendary ship. and prince was hitting me with its heavy shots...as soon as all the puckle gun pop ups were all dealt with, hms prince stopped firing and froze. i kept continuing heavy shot, then puckle shots. and just like that the hms prince surrendered peacefully without hitting me again after some damage to jackdaw. so i went on with the same formula against el empulito and it worked. use some chain shots, slowing its movements, use heavy shots, then finish all the puckle shots, revolve around the ship throughout the process. the one that gave me real sweat was la dama negra. somehow with snake -like movements i reached beside it, but its broadside were invulnerable to damage, bro wtf😂😂, it took me many tries to sink that monster hitting its rear side, cause as soon as i hit its rear it moves far from u and continues with its devastating mortar damage

Anyone else think it would have been cool if the HMS Prince fight had the ship seemingly vanish into the fog with only the top mast showing at certain points bein one of the ways you can find it? IDK maybe even some kind of strong winds or waves to redirect our attention as it disappears and we have to either hunt or be hunted, lightning strikes to briefly show each ships each others location, changes in the fogs density at times, Princes mortars fire circles not revealing it's direction and location and our mortars not highlighting it who knows maybe during th fight we could leave the helm to get up high on the jackdaws mast to try and see the Prince's sails & mast. due to the fog and if neither ship can find each other the prince could end up use it's section fire to try and hit us either blindly firing or after getting a hint of where we are and say start firing salvos of creeping cannon fire getting towards us, thus we either brace, try to return fire or evade a upcoming volley. idk bout anyone else but it would be terrifying if one moment the ship is right in front of you but can disappear in front of you after some dense fog, and only seeing glimces of it either when the fog clears, its mast above the fog or lightning showing exposing you both (imagine lightning reveling the ship is facing its broad side to you them soon after fires and now you have a direction to fire at, heck hiding the hp bar would make it way more stressful)
I wish there was a mod to capture ships and send them to Kenways fleet, then utilize those ships in the game as is. Sloop-Man O' War, I'dve used them all. Get faster with smaller, more health/Crew/firepower with the tubs. Would've really been awesome

I believe that was the point in terms of story.
The Jackdaw was legendary because she went against superior odds and came out of it with crew alive.

Really impractical for a pirate ship. Even the Jackdaw is a little large for what pirates would normally use.
