I’m surprised at number of likes versus the quality of content. It matters to rate things so that next person is able to choose better from a sea of content. This is ver engaging, presented well and to the point....
It is unfortunate that the TED organization put the above disclaimer note since the content of this talk was vetted and endorsed by highly respected neurologists, medical research experts, and PhD-credentialed experts at MIT, Harvard, Wharton, Yale, UC Berkeley, the Olympic training center, and many others. There are over 200 referenced research studies in my book and I am happy to provide the evidence of the data and expert support to anyone that is interested.
Kerry - I truly hope it's not biased against women but perhaps all the more reason we need to share and like content that helps us no matter who else feels that way! Might I say, we need to be confident despite what other people think?! it would be interesting to analyze but my hunch is it is random, if not reactive. I see even PhD's and Dr's being disclaimed by TED. Unfortunate as this and many other talks can really help people. Thanks for your note and vote of confidence!
Anna - thank you for this nice note and for taking on the internet and (yes, you correctly called out, also insecure) bully...in many ways, it demonstrates the entire message! Please be safe and confident! - Alyssa
I, has the individual typing this comment, can verify that the main concept of this Talk is accurate within a minimal margin of error. Although she doesnt talk about the damage/dangers of over confidence, especially within those who gain artifical confidence from hiding behind a keyboard...
This was NOT good. Talked around and past the subject. You're left wondering: where's the beef? It should really have taken 20 seconds to say: "if you want to be confident, boost somebody else's confidence." The presenter doesn't give any evidence to support this trite claim. Could have got it from a Hallmark card. A presentation on confidence deserves much better than this kind of goofy TED waffle. It would be good if the presenter redid this presentation in a way that gives actionable steps - based in scientific findings - for viewers to work on. That would show real confidence.
SUCH AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE
Confidence IS a choice. and small wins will get you there! Well done, Alyssa. I continue to learn so much from you.
Thank you, Candy! Same here- you inspire and teach me so much, too!

I’m beginning to think Tedx disclaimers are only for strong powerful women who give good advice 🧐❤️

Or is her speech not up to standard?
"Fake It til u get it" is always true. I can not agree with u, little girl.
Lol sit down with that condescending bs
