Renee be like: "And I hate this card, and this card is BARF. And GROSS, so much beautiful and so much rainbow" 😂😂😂 Omg, I'm dying. Even as someone who does like this deck, I can't deny that your "Coachella" description is spot on! Glad to hear that it provided insightful readings across a spectrum of topics. Hope others decide to take this challenge if they feel similarly put off by the LST or any other deck. I'm trying to think if there's one that I feel that repulsed by 😂🧐I thoroughly enjoyed this! 💜😘
Ha! Thank you Juli. Can I like this deck even though I still don't like it? It's a good reader and that is what really matters... right?! right!? ha ha ha.
Hi, Renee!! Thank you so much for doing this and for mentioning my video!🙏🌼 As you already know, we have similar experiences with this deck and yeees, I should hate it and I ended up loving how clear this deck reads for me...I can relate with being annoyed with all pink and purple and pretty hippie-ish people !! So cool that someone gifted you the LST, isn't it awesome when we are surprised by a deck... I felt that the real reason I was triggered by it is the fact that I could see myself clearly in the cards, as if I could be one of those super purple hippie kids... and I was rejecting that side of me. So yes, I loved this video so so so much!! 💜💜💜💗💗💗 (pink and purple hearts LOL)
Yes. I actually really like rainbows!!! And I have some decks that others find super super cheesy full of diversity and love!! But it's the body beautiful, millennial vibe that gets me and there in lies the rub. My old Gen X ugly self can't take the shining generation right below mine... ha ha ha maybe! My shadow may indeed be made of envy for glitter. hee hee. Thanks for watching.
I am so much with you here. I have this deck and often had a bodily reaction of "Oh come on, this happy hippie vibe of light and love makes me want to punch something". I am comfortable to dive into the dark, the unknown that's usually why I use my cards. But then I started to look into this reaction with the light seer's and I couldn't deny that hope is a freaking force, that seeing things with kindness and love is a form of rebellion. I find it a position of privilige to see things this way; there are times I can't access this perspective, but there is a lot of learning I have to do. Maybe these positive vibes are part of the "shadow work" I need to do. And I agree so much, the deck is a surprising reader. It's not one I reach comfortable for all the time, but when I intentionally do it provides such an interesting perspective. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Love this video, Renee!!! It’s so hard when you really don’t like a super popular deck and it’s freaking everywhere!!!! Totally agree with you about the Empress card 👎🏼 and the fact that the “old” people basically are young people with grey wigs!!!! But I do like this deck and find it to be a good reader…..I burst out laughing when you made the Coachella reference!!!! Good one!!! Anyway glad you find it to be a good reader…. Hopefully now you won’t gag anymore when you see it posted!!! 💕💕💕
“I think I just gave a prejudice against beautiful people” 😂😂😂 I loved this. And I love this deck. Despite the shiny happy (beautiful) people. The pentacles are great, I think the swords are also great - better than a lot of decks. And it sounds like you’re coming round to it too 😄 You are a beautiful person 💖
I have some how made beautiful a four letter word but really the world needs all the beauty it can. This deck has really taken me down a few pegs in my condescension that is for sure. Only good things.... Thank you Jessica.
Hahaha...that was awesome!😂😂😂 I have had kind of the reversed experience with this deck. I got it because I loved all the colours and the cards that I had seen at the time...and then it arrived and I tried to read with it...and...total silence. For about a year, every time I was trying to read with it I just couldn't connect. Sooo frustrating! At some point, I thought I was ready to rehome it...but I got a few clear readings. And it went to the maybe pile. However, in general, my relationship with this deck is very on and off. I totally agree with you that there might be decks that we love the artwork but don't read as great for us. And others that we may feel "nah that's not my taste, it's not for me"...and end up being fantastically clear readers. It has happened to me on several occasions!
That is funny! Really opposite experience for us. :) I find it fascinating that some decks are chatty for some readers an others are silent. I also find it funny when some decks are real stinkers for some readers and gentle with others.... thanks for watching!
I so enjoyed your honesty! It took me a while to finally get this deck. It does read well for me but there are cards that I just can't connect with. We've become friends over time but we'll never be besties. 💜
I watched Saturnariums video and was fascinated by what she sees in those cards. But I still don't like the deck at all. Main reason is definitely the people. You say it is diversed, I say it isn't lol 😂 It is full of privileged wealthy people people, the only card that remotely looks like real work is the 3ofP. Looking through this deck is like spending time on IG looking at rich boho California that are all about "cool spirituality" and working on your spiritual growth etc. The second reason is that I really can't work with decks that build a story within one card, I call them "closed decks" because they limit my readings. When there is so much happening on one card, I can't do good card combinations within a reading. Each card is a story on itself and the next card is another story but making a new unique meaning out of the combination does not work for me at all. For the same reason I sold the Slow tarot and also why I am using the Sasuraibito in only one card readings. The Tarot of the mystical moments will go in the same pot btw. I thought actually to get the deck for my sister, thinking she would relate more to it than I do. But she just said "hell no" 😃
Yes. I agree of course with your views on the boho California chic aesthetic. Closed decks.. that’s a very cool idea. I can see what you mean with the Tarot of the Mystical Moments. However, this deck reads really well in action. I may still not love it’s whole vibe but it surprised me. Thanks for watching and the great comment Lina! ⭐️
I LOVED this! Because this was my first reaction was to hate this deck just because it was everywhere. I knew I wouldn’t like it. It was too young and new blah blah, and then it was gifted to me and I fell in love! And kicked myself for waiting so long. I love the way it reads, it’s beautiful, and the shuffle on that deck ughh *chefs kiss*
It’s funny, I have the same reactions to this deck you mention: I should like it, but I don’t. I debated buying this deck, trying to choose between the This Might Hurt, The Light Seers, and the Modern Witch. What called me to think of buying it is probably the fact that everyone was raving about it, but I agree, it’s just too beautiful. I need a little less perfection and a lot more “life is messy.” I ended up buying the Modern Witch, and it’s one of my top decks, and I might still get the This Might Hurt, but I like this deck less every time I see it. It just doesn’t call to me. I think I’m also just getting darker in my taste too, so that might be it. But it’s great that you were able to connect with it for readings.
Although I agree with your comments about the deck, I must let you know that Burning Man is very, very different from a music festival. It's artistically driven, people must barter their "talents" no matter what those talents are (some people just wash hair, for example), and there is a lot of art involved. Environmentally there are people designated to make sure garbage is put where it's supposed to go and recycling is mandatory. After Burning Man ends everyone is told to clean up and there are people who stay to clean up the desert and leave it as it was found. Bottom line: for a bunch of stoners it's pretty damn regulated -- LOL!
I'm tired of seeing this deck. LOL. I don't like it. I just don't like decks showing tatted up young beautiful people (guys all have 6 packs and gals with perky boobs) doing modern things like yoga, looking at a laptop, riding a motorcycle. Just not my art style. So I don't own any of the decks that EVERYONE tells me I should have.....Light Seers, Muse, Modern Witch, This Might Hurt, Everyday Witch....and a 1000 more decks I'm tired of seeing. BUT.....that's what's so fun about tarot now. You can find decks that appeal to everyone's taste. Thank goodness, cause if Light Seers was the only deck available I'd barf. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed hearing you say BARF!!!
Hmmm. So many reasons I avoid “peopled” decks - aside from the classic Rider-Waite. Politics, issues of beauty & age, and other annoying human nuances. The Weavers deck may be the exception for me. This deck screams naive, youthful narcissism to me. We’re just not that important. We’re irritating & the rest of the universe has so much to teach us.

Yes. Thank you for sharing. I agree and I think MY shadow may be the one made of purple and pink. 😉

Admire the honesty.

Yes some decks are just decks.... No harm in that!
I loved this. Light seers humble 🥧 ugggh so much rainbow 🌈 😂😂😂😂
taste the rainbow!!! ha ha ha
applause to you 👏👏👏 for keeping an open mind
Let the sun shine in!!!

Ha! Thanks Panda. I was not alone in my bias against it I see! 😉 but it’s a great reader. Thanks for watching! 💫

I like messy too and this deck just seemed too perfect. Still does. But damn! it reads so well. It really surprised me! Thanks for watching!

Fair Enough! I am glad to hear they take such measures to protect the desert.
Forgot to add......I HATE The Empress being depicted as a pregnant woman. I won't buy a deck with a preggers Empress. It's such a lazy stereotype.
Yes. I agree. And it's not even traditional! So why?!
I'm tired of seeing this deck. LOL. I don't like it. Am not a fan of this deck anyway 😊 Agree that some decks can cause a turn around but this deck is too crunchy granola, shiny happy people for me ! 😂
Ha ha ha. Exactly.
