Yup! I flew from EDI to CDG last year on the A318. Nice flight, and I was able to go up front and chat with the first officer briefly afterwards. I already thought my French was rusty, but trying some avgeek talk in my second language was nigh impossible.
@@andreas4010 it may be more convenient for certain routes like Paris to Marseille or Amsterdam because they are short (around 3h of train) but to go from Paris to Toulouse or Nice there are no high speed railways all the way to Toulouse and Nice and so it takes around 6 to 5 hours moreover the prices of the French train service (SNCF) are often really high and more expensive than the plane so it can be the best option
I recently flew from paris cdg to lszh with a318 air france

Flew on the A318 from Houston to Denver when Frontier Airlines was using the A318.
TAROM also flies the A318 I believe daily from Bucharest to Heathrow
Not for long. Tarom are suspending flights to LHR soon.
No they fly it to Frankfurt
Most of these can be competitive or outright replaced by High Speed Rail, especially since most are domestic
The only reason they operate that flight is for connections through cdg or ams
The train is way more convenient

Love this channel. Gives useful info on aviation ❤
I remember flying Air France A318 from Paris CDG to Florence
I can't believe that LCY London City does not feature on this list
There are no A318s out of LCY anymore. The closest is ITA with it's A220s.
Does anyone know about the A318's retired from service? Have they been broken up, or sitting in storage?
I love Simple Flying and Airbus A318s!
Flown on the A318 three times with Air France and once with Avianca Brazil.
Didn’t BA use the A318s on its LCY-JFK service? With the planned stopover at Shannon for ‘immigration/refuling’?
Yes, but that service was suspended in 2020
Once with Mexicana Airlines A318
What happened to BA 001? Doesn't that use the A318 also?
where’s CDG to FLR by AFR?
Is tarom connections to lot the logo looks similar ?
just similar. Tarom is from romania
She's so cute.
Air France a318 feels very old from the inside and the outside
I'm surprised that the stubby aircraft can hold up to 132 passengers.
thought A380…
I have flown yes, it's a powerfull aircraft.
A318 are outdated
