Wow! Where do I even begin?? The recipes worked out to a fine art or the crisp, clear and concise instructions coupled with sensible helpful tips or how each video is masterfully culled to three minutes precisely, matched with flawless filming, lovely soothing music which is just enough to add a nice background but not too loud to be jarring or your gorgeous accent which just makes me think of delicious family dinners gathered around a table groaning with food. I have now tried a few of your recipes and each one has turned out perfectly. Your dauphinoise potatoes are a creamy bubbling melting heaven of cheese and honestly I could happily devour the entire dish by myself. Look forward to trying more of your recipes!! You're absolutely brilliant!
Oh wow what an amazing comment. So glad you are enjoying the recipes and the videos. Chris and I put our heart and soul into our food and to get a comment like this makes our day. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such an amazing comment the world needs more of this kindness.
Oh my goodness I want to cry. My nana made this when I was younger and I never got the chance to learn to make it but your recipe is so similar. I'm smiling from ear to ear. This is going to be so delicious thank you 🙌♥️
I did this recipe and it’s just so simple, easy, and delicious! To me it’s important to have a good quality meat and cast iron pan to sear the meat. Oh the smell when you’re cooking the onions and the meat is sooo good. I added garlic to the onions and porta bella mushrooms. Quick, easy, delicious. Thank you!!!
Made this tonight but didn't have meat but had chuck pot roast- cut that thinly sliced. I did coat it with flour, salt, pepper. Just simply dredged the meat in flour then put in butter & oil in pan, didn't have heavy cream but I used 1/2 & 1/2 instead. This was an amazing recipe. The family went crazy. I literally cooked for exactly 1 min & it was still little red but oh soooo good. The flour really changed this up for the better. Great recipe. Thank you for sharing. Keeping this one.
Made this the other week for my parents!! Was delicious and perfect instructions. Thank you! Great videos & tutorials. Would love to see so more fish style dishes/recipes/videos
Glad you enjoyed it and the instructions were helpful. We're moving house to be closer to the coast soon so will definitely be cooking more with fish :)
I just made this tonight. It was just a little bit watery, so I used a bit of cornstarch to thicken it. Truly delicious. My family loved it. Didn't know I could make beef stroganoff. Definitely a keeper. Thank you for sharing your recipe. 😊
Are you from the states? It might have been watery because your heavy cream isn't as dense as our double cream here in the UK. I would just use less heavy cream and more sour cream or crème fraiche next time to get the consistency you want.
Used this recipe for dinner tonight and it was Delicious 👍 Best stroganoff I ever had. The leftovers I made egg rolls with the next day and those were the bomb 👍😋 Thanks for sharing the amazing easy recipe for this. 😊❣️
I neverrrrr thought I liked beef stroganoff, two days ago I had it from a hot cafe in a hospital and I had it over bow tie pasta noodles everything was so creamy and smooth very buttery very cheesy tasting I think that was from the cream, I asked for all mushrooms and no meatballs tho. This recipe looks soooo yummy I love mushrooms I love steak ! Onions cream all of this lol gonna try definitely
omg i just accidently found that you can move the subtitles any where on the screen!!! that is so cool, no more getting the way of what you're trying to watch
I had a 15 oz ribeye ready to cook for dinner but now I am going to cut it up and make beef stroganoff out of it. I've been in the mood for that anyway. Thank you for the video
I'm from another country, but your cooking is the best. I'm desperate to be healthy, but I think eating is important. Both of my parents had dementia, so I quit my job and took care of them. Last year, they both passed away after 3 months. It was stressful. My parents passed away, and my body and my heart ached a lot. I got a brain aneurysm on my head and two brain aneurysms. I even had hypothyroidism, so I suddenly gained 15kg. I have to diet. Anxiety disorder Panic disorder I still suffer from insomnia. It's been a year since my parents died, but I'm still in treatment, but it hasn't been long since I started again. I started RUclips, took a walk, and traveled because I had the courage to share and communicate. Now I want to be healthy. I hope everyone watching this video is healthy. Take care of your health first.
Watched the video & I'm literally starting to make it right now. I have made beef stroganoff many times but the other ways are more complex yours is so simple thank you so much ❤️
Just made this, absolutely delicious! I saw another recipe that used chicken stock and loads of flour, not necessary at all and this is healthy for it.
I've made this several times for my wife and I and it has turned out fantastic each time. For our tastes, we prefer to add cognac but regardless, it is delicious, quick, and easy.
So simple and perfect. I saw another video though I don't have white wine and mustard... so I was like darn though I do have the rest of the ingredients Thank you for the short and sweet video
This looks lovely and delicious! We’re having this tonight, though ours will be sans mushrooms as neither of us like them. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous dish!!
TY, This turned out delicious! Not bad for my first time. Although, I couldn't find ribeye, so I used NY. Also, I had to add more salt/pepper at the dinner table.
good instructions… BUT Kitchen rule Nr. 1: Always start with the Onions UNLESS you cook mushrooms! ;) always start with mushrooms. They have way more moisture in it then Onions, if you dont get rid of that before u put onions, it will have much weaker taste.
Greetings from Los Angeles, CA. I made Beef Stroganoff before but not all from scratch. Looking forward to trying this and making it all from scratch. Being of filipino ancestry, filipinos like to eat rice with everything. So this will also go good with rice. 😅😊🥰😋 Thank you & God Bless❣️
Dear Kitchen Sanctuary this looks absolutely fantastic. Could you do me a favour and ask Chris if this could be made in a crockpot please. Thank you kindly. Take care and God Bless. 🧡
good morning Beef Stroganoff or Beef Stroganoff is a Russian dish made of sauteed pieces of meat served with Smitana sauce. Since its inception in the mid-nineteenth century in Russia, it has become famous all over the world, with a significant difference from the original recipe. Great recipe with all its ingredients Have a nice day for you and your family
I made this last night. I made sure to brown the beef and use the pan fond to build flavor - I deglazed with 3 Tbl of brandy. However, in the end it was still bland and watery even after I allowed it to simmer at the end. I had to add more salt and a cornstarch slurry to thicken. It needs a little garlic, maybe a small clove minced and added in the beginnig with the onions and mushrooms. Next time I will just use double the sour cream and skip the heavy cream all together and I'll add more salt. Other than that, it was good.
Lovely. I used to cut strips of large green paper and cooked it with the mushroom and onions too. This was good 25 years ago :) Also, I serve it with rice, but I love your Beef Stroganoff too. Thank you.
I had the courage to try your recipe last night after my husband took me to HEB to grab the ingredients. When I was grabbing sirloin steak, however, he told me that if we were spending that much on the meat, he'd rather just grill himself an actual steak. I agreed to use ground beef. As I grilled the mushrooms and onions he was beginning to say "it looks good". When I added the ground beef, after adding the ingredients, he told me that it looked like Hamburger Helper lol. Therefore, he wasnt too crazy about eating it. He took a bite and said "it's okay". A little bit later he said with confidence "we can do this again". Therefore, he was quite satisfied with the recipe, so I could only imagine how it wouldve tasted with true steak. He gave me a hand shake for misjudging it. I notified him that we still had noodles, cream, meat, mushrooms, onions, etc to make another batch. I used heavy cream since we both hate sour cream, but it clearly did the job. We have a history of making some nasty fideo dish with Ramen noodles & tomato sauce, which is so dull and bland, so I'm happy to have your recipe put into my books. Thanks for the advice!! Good job!!
Looks a nice recipe was planning on having this tomorrow night New Years Eve will follow your method serving it with fried skinny chips I believe that,s how the Russians like it do I detect a bit of Merseyside in your voice.
Short video, direct and to the point. I've watched this a bunch of times just for the recipe. Thank you.

TY, This turned out delicious! Not bad for my first time. Although, I couldn't find ribeye, so I used NY. Also, I had to add more salt/pepper at the dinner table.
I made this with crème freche & put a teaspoon of English mustard. Chefs kiss 😘
Lovely recipe, thank you.. I can't stand pasta, so I did some sauteed potstoes - gorgeous!
Sounds great!
You can use rice mixed with parsley.
Tried it tonight. What a feast! Thank you!
Yummy😋that’s what’s for dinner tonight! Thanks for sharing this delicious meal
Amazing! I would just add a spoonful of Dijon Mustard & lots of Black Pepper!?!? yummy 😋
Great video. I really appreciate you not being obnoxious and dancing around, like many other "youtube chefs"
I always thought it was hard to make so I didn't try! I will now. Thank you
This recipe is fantastic! So so simple yet so delicious.
Concise and to the point whilst still being descriptive, good video😊
I love your down to earth videos

I thought the same thing. Maybe cooking the beef first, so the mushrooms absorb the beef flavor. Then, adding the onions. Cheers
Oh my goodness i had dinner earlier. This easy dish made me hungry again..lol ill make it tomorrow.. Thank you so much..
Thanks George, hope you enjoy :)
omg i watch this at 9 o clock in the night time and i get soo hungry!!! XXDXD

Perhaps your broke the emulsion?
I was wondering about why she added double cream instead of just sour cream
Lovely. I used to cut strips of large green paper and cooked it with the mushroom and onions too. This was good 25 years ago :) Also, I serve it with rice, but I love your Beef Stroganoff too.
Thank you.
I need this in my life!😍 Before I wasted 2 hours and many ingredients and made bad beef stroganoff
Thank you I'm going to cook this on Friday night, can I ask you please, do you think it's a good idea to add garlic for extra taste?
Just finished making this dish..It’s amazing thank you
Made it for dinner tonight. BIG HIT
You know those meals when you first taste it, you close your eyes and make your mmm sound? This is one of those recipes.
Always a favourite, I use a little more paprika - keep up the good work - your recipes are great

I absolutely love your recipes. Please keep me on your recipes xxx
I did it and I’m happy to be done with Jars of sauce
Quick & Easy! Went well. Thank you
Easy and simple dish, going be my next target recipe to cook.
I liked it with the brandy as well.
The metal spatula on that case iron pan hurts my heat.
めちゃくちゃ美味しく作れた。
Thank you.

I wanted to know how to cook beef stroganoff for some time and found this easy to follow recipe. The result was simply tasty and great recipe to keep!
From now on this is the only way to make beef stroganoff!
That’s what I’m about to make for dinner tonight...
Hope you enjoy :)
I'm making my mother this dinner for her 90th birthday party
Thank you for sharing this, I plan on making this soon.
I have some leftover brisket. I only have creme fraiche so will use that with some cream
Tried this evening ..it was a hit x
Well done, it looks delicious, I'll try it tomorrow. Good idea :-)
I love your way of cooking 🍳
Will making this with ground beef be less flavorful or just fine?
Hi David, I wouldn't recommend this dish for ground beef.
If you want it really tender then use dutch oven and leave it for about an hour on a very low heat. Just control that there is enough cream/moisture.
I’m making this for dinner tonight 😊
This is so incredibly good. The only thing I added was a little bit of garlic powder.
Should cook the steaks first, then remove, so you can get the fond with the onions and mushrooms.
Love 💕 this quick recipe
Looks a nice recipe was planning on having this tomorrow night New Years Eve will follow your method serving it with fried skinny chips I believe that,s how the Russians like it do I detect a bit of Merseyside in your voice.
So i had my first beef stroganoff now i am searching for recipes ❤
Looks better than the celeb chef versions on here
You are making me hungry!
Nice and simple dish
I love it... But why no mustard??
I will make this tomorrow I will add about a 1/2 cup of red wine 🍷 also

Hi I bought your book ... Fantastic
Thank you so much, we really appreciate it.
I managed to make this, it was so, so good! Sadly i used cheap chewy meat D:
