Great choice. A selfless leader who instills belief in the program.
Being a huge Duke fan, I could see he was in line for the head coaching job, and I am glad he got it. If anyone thinks he's not ready you just wait and see. The winning tradition is not going to stop at all. Duke is definitely in good hands!!!

I am so excited for Jon! He has a great perspective on things, and I know he'll be ready! He is a great choice to be the next head coach! I'm very excited that Coach k is going to be back for one more season as well. Let's go get title number six!
I met Jon on one of my Duke visits back when the plumlee brothers played there. Great man! A true encourager! He is an excellent choice to be the next head coach!

Why do people think just because you were an ok player, you can be a good coach? I personally believe that it's better coaches out there that played for Duke they should have thought of. But, on the other hand I'll give him a chance.

I think when Jon retires...Duke will overtake UCLA on national championships....

This is a horrible choice by duke imo. All the great coaches that either played or coached at duke they could have chose, and you choose a guy who has never had his own program, and looks like he's still in college. I think a coach with some experience would have been a better choice. Quinn Snyder would have been a great choice if he would have taken the job. Jeff Capel, anyone? How about Woj? Many directions they could have gone...i just don't think a rookie head coach is the right one.

Why are you even here? To troll? Duke could've named 20 former players. That were black(not it matters) could've stepped in as the next hes coach. They also would've done well for Duke. For example Dawkins, Capel, Smith, James, Hill, Williams, etc, etc. Duke doesn't recruit nor hire troubled individuals. Skin color has nothing to do with it. Their character, talents, and their desire are all that matters. You do not know Duke. Because if you did. That statement would've never crossed your mind.
