I just finished these, each one is a short scale in G, to be tuned GDG, both instruments are about a half step low in the demo... the Sun Image is a rubber stamp used with brown ink.....
these were built side by side, both are a little funky, the bodies are both a bit askew, the sides shifted a bit on glue up...but they are both solid instruments, all solid woods, both are acoustic only NO PICK UP, there are obvious imperfections, a saw mark here or there, a little extra glue, a rough spot, each instrument is made completely from scratch, the tops are both instrument grade sitka spruce and have been thinned, and braced, I actually think the instruments sound really good, even if the aesthetics are a little crude....

They both sound great Cj, you have used lovely woods there, the back of the soundboxes are beautiful!

Thanks Bill for watching, Nature is the best artist for sure :) thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment...I still have a long way to go on shining up the build details,and process, some of it is trying to make these rare pieces of wood fit..I think some of the Asymmetry of the bodies is trying to get the backs to work, maximizing the spalting pattern, but the main thing is the sound, and I am happy with them in that regard, the one with the cherry neck I am probaply going to have to but a heavier gauge first string on, it is a little weak, the other two strings are drowning it out a bit...
