- In this video I give you a full room tour of cabin 12200 on the Norwegian Prima. This stateroom is designated as a "Solo Balcony" and it includes access to the Studio Lounge. It is only bookable if you are traveling solo. The room is absolutely beautiful and spacious with plenty of amenities. The bathroom is one of the best I've seen at sea.

nks for the solo cabin tour. This is basically a balcony cabin designated for solo cruisers. There is no difference from our balcony cabin my wife and I were in last year.
From the deck plan, they set aside 9 regular balcony cabins on deck 12 as solo cabins.
@@norberteng9496 that’s right, it’s the same size. There’s a lot of misinformation out there that Norwegian designated smaller cabins as the “solo” cabins and I’m happy to share in my video that is not the case!

Thanks for sharing, Meredith. I'm booked in a solo balcony on the starboard side on Encore in Sep for Alaska, and Prima next May for Iceland. I recently did a solo studio for the Caribbean, which was nice for me. But, after seeing your video, I'm so glad I made the step up to the balcony.

How does one book the solo cabins? Every cruise I look at says sold out or not available!
@@joanaston7388 make sure you are setting the filter on the main search page to only 1 person! I have found solo cabin availability on most cruises as long as they aren’t within the next couple months, because these rooms are so popular, they do sell out further in advance!

Square footage of room?? Cost for typical cruise??
@@ggreg2258 I believe the square footage is 231ft, but I can’t speak to typical cost, there’s really no such thing - it completely depends on the length of the cruise, the type of itinerary, the time of year, how far out you are booking, promos or sales going on, etc… it will vary between every person!

@@Parkhopper1985 Norwegian has a ton of solo cabin options that are priced for one person. Virgin Voyages also has solo cabins. Those are the two lines that I’ve sailed that I definitely recommend going solo. Go to the daily solo meetups to meet other people on your cruise and you’ll have a great time!

Regent Seven Seas have some cruises that charge 25% extra for certain cabins for single travelers. I’m doing this in a few months.
