I would say, dharavi should change at any cost, there will be difficulties but atleast that poverty p*rn will decrease in india. I think people just forgot how much those foreigners criticized india and continued to do so whenever regarding Dharavi and now we should change for good
At first when i heard the news that Adani is going to redevelopment project, i was slightly happy to be honest i knew Adani was going to gain much more then the people of dharavi but still i thought they would get better life. I had that thought because in my brain Dharavi's image was just smal huts ( because of Bollywood ) But after seeing this video my whole concept just changed, its not that slum it looks like tier 3 cities. Ground works like these must be shared and apprised.

Concern of the people of dharavi is genuine, some people have land area then why they accept just only flat, their land give always benefit for their generation and flat only the can live not earn just like own land.
A country whose people are not ready for development will find the actions taken for development as oppression. That’s the reality of India, be it slum development or farm bills. Indians are not ready for development. It’s a choice between short term petty gains VS long term sustainability and growth. Not to mention role of many influencers misguiding public and creating apprehension in minds of people. Some doubts are genuine but most are misplaced, which ultimately adds to difficulty of administration. 9:03 I didn’t get the point here! So if the bid price is low that means Adani is charging less to the govt for development of Dharavi. Isn’t that profitable for the govt. And any bid in govt. is done through GeM portal so whoever is the L1 bidder automatically gets the contract. You can file an RTI to check the bid of other contractors to get an idea of fairness of bidding process. Why live in misplaced apprehension!?

Most of the people in this video are just telling what they have listened to from others or assumed things . And this is not their fault, they may have been misled by someone. Also here is the duty of government to convey the correct message to people and be transparent in their policies. Otherwise this is bound to happen. People in India do not like change and shifting from their home is a big thing.

You should have also consulted some urban planners about the details of slum development and the contribution of slums for detailed analysis of other slum development governments have done over the years, most of these projects are really detrimental to the long-term economy of a developing country like India. perfect example of corny capitalism/
Every Indian have right to live in a clean owned/ rented legal house. All slumps of India must be organized by Govt. British time rules must be reformed for public good . Only elite and corruption must be questioned.

At first when i heard the news that Adani is going to redevelopment project, i was slightly happy to be honest i knew Adani was going to gain much more then the people of dharavi but still i thought they would get better life.
I had that thought because in my brain Dharavi's image was just smal huts ( because of Bollywood ) But after seeing this video my whole concept just changed, its not that slum it looks like tier 3 cities.

Concern of the people of dharavi is genuine, some people have land area then why they accept just only flat, their land give always benefit for their generation and flat only the can live not earn just like own land.
None of them owns any land in Dharavi, Dharavi is a government owned land which is occupied by these people and that's why its is called a SLUM. 🤦🤦
A country whose people are not ready for development will find the actions taken for development as oppression. That’s the reality of India, be it slum development or farm bills. Indians are not ready for development. It’s a choice between short term petty gains VS long term sustainability and growth.
Not to mention role of many influencers misguiding public and creating apprehension in minds of people. Some doubts are genuine but most are misplaced, which ultimately adds to difficulty of administration.

And any bid in govt. is done through GeM portal so whoever is the L1 bidder automatically gets the contract. You can file an RTI to check the bid of other contractors to get an idea of fairness of bidding process. Why live in misplaced apprehension!?
