Woww!! So down to earth and Classic way of teaching conventional statistics to computer students. For those who find this talk a bit clumsy, confusing, not able to follow up very well, please do inferential statistics from udacity (conventional way) and then come here. Makes life easier
Hi Allen, I am new to statistics. I have view lots of Bayesian statistics lectures as well as videos, i would go so much confused to know what exactly is Bayesian statistics ( i always hear about as pre-requisite in ML). Fortunately, i saw your videos from Pycon 2016, good lord, i got all that you spoke about. All i wanted to say, you are best of all. I want now eager to read both Think stats as well as Think Bayes. Thanks for your book as well as the way you make it all easy to understand in one go. God bless you sir.
I am a developer approaching to Machine Learning. It really helps me overcome the hurdle of understanding probability and statistics. After watching the video I get interested in the slides being used for it. It would be much more helpful to me if you can share the URL for it. Thanks.
i could listen to him all day.
why did we not get taught like this in high school??
xkcd go-to source for talks
Thank you Prof. Downey
Will your kids go to school?
Mine, most likely not.

In 1:25:53, in the slide, why CI from large samples are less likely to contain the actual value? I didn't get this point

does this lecture involve Poisson Distribution using SciPy?
