  • In this video I explain the lore and background of the bosses that appear in Fire Emblem Thracia 776. There are also some bosses that I skipped over, simply because there is really no info about them, as they have little to no dialogue.

Thracia's capture mechanic for bosses always interested me, because it makes you think about how the future of those guys would go.
Some Bandits like Gomez turn a new leaf (Good luck capturing him though,) and others are happy they were spared.
Meanwhile Kempf is just "Yo screw you for capturing me, I'll mess you up later," and never appears again and that's just like that guy. Still probably my favorite Antagonist in the series though.

Kempf then travels to the lost continent of America

Minor correction: Mareeta was born after the fall of Ribaut (Grann 757), so Galzus doesn't escape with her. She's known to be Leif's age (15 in 776, so born in 761, four years after Ribaut fell) and Leif wasn't born at the very beginning of fe4 gen 1 i.e., when Mananan sought retribution against Ribaut.

Great video, again I'm so surprised there's so much lore even for one-off bosses. I never knew you could capture and spare Rumei. Thracia was such a nice game though the gameplay mechanics were a bit experimental. It's fun to play after Genealogy, the character artwork is much improved and many of the villains returning from Genealogy have good post timeskip designs in this title like Travant. Kempf is probably the most psycho Fire Emblem boss ever. Reinhardt defnitely felt like the Camus archetype here, my goodness that was a crazy map.

I always thought that Amalda or Misha would make for some nice GHB units in heroes. Amalda is veeeery good in my playthrough. Female Paladin is busted imo.

There's actually like 5 recruitable bosses in this game, it's one of my favorites.

Some of these name changes are hilarious like what was so wrong with Dorias that it had to be changed to Dryas or whatever

Tbf, Dorias is moreso pronounced Do-rai-us. Dryas is also pronounced Do-rai-us, but has a mythology behind the name. We all know Kaga loved his mythology.
Most names in the Jugdral games are based upon western mythology, and doesn't tend to translate well into Japanese. Even worse when making the attempt to translate those Japanese words back into what they're referencing.

Changing Rivough to however it's spelled in FEH is such a bruh moment I can't see the logic behind it either.
