It's still pretty amazing the impact this album had on the rock world in 1987. In the midst of the Motley Crues, Poisons, and Whitesnakes that were ruling the rock scene came a straightforward, no frills, bonafide true hard rock album that like the band that made the album, was a almost 70s style throwback. 'Mechanical Resonance' was an album that music needed badly in 1987. A true classic.
My friend wanted me to pick up a cassette for him. I forgot the name but remembered the band started with a "t" so I grabbed Tesla. He said that he would listen to it but if he didn't like it I owed him the money he gave me to purchase it. We both loved it.
as the clock ticks over to my 55th birthday, i'm sitting listening to this. much better than today's music. as long as i'm able to listen, this music will live on.
This is the definition of top shelf Hard Rock right here!!! Amazing song and album.I always thought that Tesla's singer had a raw Vince Neil sound but WAYYYYYYYY better than Vince. And this SOLO????!!!!! WOW.
I remember blasting this in my ears in 1989 while washing dishes at two in the morning during graveyard shift. Stoned and ready to rock till dawn. At village inn restaurant in Ogden utah.. a great time in a great state. Too bad those times are long gone. The time we are in now will pass on. But rock will live forever!!!
How good is this record even after all these years. They set out to make one of the greatest rock albums ever and they certainly did it. This song just blisters my speakers every time I play it. Bad ass!
Very original indeed. And hard rockin’ I’ve always considered this little ditty as the best or at least second best tune on the record! The effects! The scratching of the strings, the tremolo, the harmonics, the vocals!
A friend of mine "back in the day" played this album for me. I remember this first song just smacking you in the face! Then "Cumin' Atcha Live" follows up!
God this is so good. Opening track to a fantastic album. I was always polite to my neighbours but I do remember blasting this to huge levels a couple times back in the day before going out! I play guitar, it's just a song where ... I dunno. Perfect riffage.
Well I'm Darn surprised my tesla cassettes still play to this day put over a million miles on this cassette, trucking just play over and over auto play alpine stereo, 12 speakers, and what ever size amp was in that peterbilt, then next tesla tape then break it up with aldo nova. was good times.
Tesla made their statement here with this ass kicking album opener to me the best debut album by a band who would just keep getting better and better with every album
Not really into this sort of music but I absolutely love it! I'm picky when it comes to voices but this guy's voice sounds so amazing with the rest of the music/guitar
You had it right in the palm of your hand, right before your eyes Now it's gone and you don't understand, you've got to realize There comes a time when you've got to let things go as fast as they come Wait and see what tomorrow may bring you, get it all while you can Sometimes it just feels so right, and other times so wrong Every new day it brings on the night, the change goes on and on and on and on It never stops, no it keeps on rollin', wiped away like an sand Here it comes, there it goes, always changin' ends Ez come ez go, ez come ez go, that's what they call it Ez come ez go, ez come ez go, oh no! Ez come ez go, ez come ez go, oh, you know that's what they call it Ez come ez go, ez come ez go, oh whoa!
I never gave this album a fair shake. I went all in on Great Radio Controversy, bypassing this one. I'm gonna' have to go back and correct the error of my ways.
This are my times w/the genra. I love the 80's heavy metal
