John 5 could very well be the most underrated guitarist of a generation. Much like Tom Morello in the 90s and even now, John 5 is an absolute genius with tone and a dimebag riffing ability always being inventive coming up With new sounds. His music is his own. Kids like Tim Henson are on his heals but John continues to evolve. Love this guy John has his own sound. Hes in my opinion a much more diverse player than many others weve seen the in the past 30 years. No buckets needed.. Heehaw is classic. Those blue grass boys from the grand old oprey can shred. I mean deal with the devil shredding. John is a devilish shredding machine. Angelic tones compiled with demonic intensity..
UNCLE~MR.JOHN-5 IS JUST ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL... I HAVE BEEN A MASSIVE, ENORMOUS FAN OF HIS SINCE 2004..NOVEMBER 2004 TO BE EXACT.. HE IS A FASHION ICON AS WELL.. EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE GUITARIST 🎸 AS WELL...
There are rock guitar players, country guitar players, jazz guitar players, metal guitar players ...... Then there's Mr. Lowery. I have seen him with Zombie and Manson. I have seen him with the Creatures. I have heard his solo album with Albert Lee...... John can do it all
I've heard of most of his influences but I'll admit I had to go look up Joe Maphis. Coming back from that, A) Holy jeebus B) I can totally hear Maphis' influence on John 5. He mentioned Hee Haw in another interview - the, I guess, "pedigree" of John's style is very American and just awesome as heck. The more I see of this guy the more of a fan I become.
One of the best shows I've ever seen. It was just.. FUN! Hard to explain. It was very John 5. Jerod James Nichols opened and I spoke with him for a minute before he went on. Super nice guy. Great night in Lawrence Kansas.
I find John brilliant as a guitarist and in his way of being simple and humble with the music he reminds me a lot of Dimebag Darrell and for me it's a very big compliment
John 5 is a good example of talent and humility. I’ve had the pleasure of playing some of his riffs and style in a Rob Zombie tribute and he is a monster. His soundtrack work on Lords of Salem is excellent too. Very haunting. John 5 could very well be the most versatile shredder out there. Him and Buckethead have carried the “guitar hero torch” honorably.
John 5 is the most personable and overall great guy in music. He's so humble and clearly just loves all types or music. Definitely been a huge influence on me and is one reason I play a HH tele=)
John5 with Rob Zombie, best combination ever. On my metal wishlist would be a John5 and Bumblefoot collaboration.

"Things We Said Today" #355. Some Quality Time With film director Peter Jackson Interview on the Beatles Get Back Movie. .ruclips.net/video/QSLb7cpHy00/видео.html
This was a lovely documentary I really appreciate Jackson guitars the most but I totally get why John(5) loves the telecaster by fender. BTW try using a fender amp lol I gotta admit better than Marshall because of the available availabilities made with mustang amps are amazingly smart to use vs a pedal.
Great Interview without a single F Bomb . Nice job John .

Once in high school I was carrying my guitar around and it's rectangle case. A person walked up to me and said what's in the case. I said back off man it's a fender. Him and a couple of his guys laughed and said why would I be carrying around car parts and then proceeded to say am I looking for a fender bender had no idea what was in the case I just walked away

So, if im reading this correctly, some kid that had probably never seen a guitar case....asked you what it was and what was in it? That's the whole story? Lame.

@@nickburmanmusic Teles have this "higher" tone. They call it "twang". This country-style sound you hear it cleary in John5s stuff. Compare a Gibson les Paul with a Tele and you will hear it😊 Nothing against the tone from a Tele. I also love to play my tele and my strat. type of wood, weight, shape, bridge, Pickups I would say. But i dont know which one makes the tele twangy. Maybe a big part the singlecoil Pickups but you hear it also in humbucker-teles.

John 5 is so cool. He’s a metal head that can play just about any style. A real talent
He could use any guitar and he would sound great he’s a true musician
His roots playing is where it all started. Learn the roots and metal is a piece of cake.
John is a true musician he can play anything

How many metal players even know who Roy Clark or Chet Atkins are??...John 5 IS THE coolest!!!!!
Never seen Atkins with a tele, Don Rich is another story.
A lot
If you grew up in the '70s and '80s like John did, you saw Hee Haw on TV at least once.
@@k.g.alatore355 lol, .... exactly! Dont forget the hot chicks too! 🤘🏻
everyone from John's age and up definitely know who they were. stellar players both. John is well schooled, obviously.
That album cover artwork would make a great tattoo.
Give me any amp and I'll play the show - THAT is a professional.

One of the best at our time
Thanks for being different and inspiring. I have a 66 tele and just ordered the Bludgeon.
Possibly the greatest guitar player of a generation 🤘🏻
Joe Maphis Multi-string instrumentalist ruclips.net/video/Mu8MhPNkDck/видео.html
Awesome, thanks
John 5🔥great treat to get on sunday
Interesting to hear that it seems like he's moved away from using the Dimarzio D-Activators.
Hell yeah John 5🔥🔥🔥
Joe Maphis is a legend.
Sharing. 👊
John is awesome, and that's a fact jax.
I have a fender head that I was told John 5 owned. I’d sure like to see if it really was his. It’s modded pretty nuts. It breaks perfect.
When is that Ghost Tele coming out?
I love this guy
did he change the control plate on his tele to just a master volume and a killswitch?
Best guitar player alive
True player
DiMarzio love yeah!!!
Where is the ghost tele!!! We need this asap!!!
No pic of the new pickguard??
No clue why his name is john 5 because the guys a 10!
Joe Maphis' clout just went interstellar
Love J5, weird mashup, Danny Gatton-master of the telecaster. Full Stop.

I know years ago he was using D-activators, wonder when he switched? Not that it matters he sounds great with whatever
I noticed this switch as well and an super curious if changed his pickups or not.
I like to know what he thinks of Johnny Highland.
I don’t think you need to wonder. Clearly he would be a fan. More likely they have met and were instant friends
Anyone else think his speech is like/similar to Ted Nugent at times?
Great guy. Great player. For the religious nut jobs....it’s an act.
John 5 is our LAST guitar hero :( Unless....it's up to you, kids out there who just bought a ton of guitars...
