The ignition key has "Aprillia" stamped on it and the headlamp is sealed beam (bulb non-removeable in a vacuum) with the whole wiring loom terminating on two labelled bus bar strips. This bike has a unique history as it is one of the rarer CZ 175 trail bikes assembled by Aprillia in Italy and exported to the US between 1969 and 1975. Specifications and performance are different from Czech built CZ bikes. Piston = Asso Werk forged hi-compression with 20 x 20 caged roller wrist pin bearing. All engine bearings = Koyo (Japanese). Headlamp = Aprillia DCG 130 sealed beam unit. Wiring loom = Italian (but fortunately with Czech wire). For wiring diagram consult the Haynes Manual for the CZ 125 / 175 singles 1968 to 1981. Both early unregulated and later regulated Aprillia looms are covered. I own a 1974 Aprillia built CZ 350 Type 471-0 Aprillia that has done 79,000 well thrashed miles so far. Will it do 100,000 miles?? We'll see..... Most folks only heard of Aprillia since the company's relaunch in 1982 but they've been producing motorcycles under licence for Zundapp and CZ since 1969. The old Aprillia logo was a racing Greyhound.
It only had eight miles because no one wanted to ride it.That guy turned it off not a minute to soon his garage door was closed the toxic fumes were probably getting bad. The bike probably still has less than 20 miles on it.

That is not a trials, that is considered an "MX" bike in America at the time. Or on /off road. Beautiful bike. RESPECT= RH DSD
