You don't need to get all the cups u just need to go in the room and get that one cup after that u will get the melee, so it saves alot of time

You need to shoot all 16 cups and activate the panel so you can access the room.

I accidentally got the melee after a game, i didnt realise it was a quest. Someone in my server had already done it and i just found the secret room.
