I'm loving the first three songs I've heard, but they all relate back to the nasty split with Thundermother. I'm hoping they can write some more songs with different themes and maybe bury the hatchet. The wounds are still fresh though and I understand that.
she was a guitarist before she was a bass player doing her own solo stuff, Emlee and Mona used to live together at 1 point and Emlee thought Mona would be a good fit in Thundermother, they needed a bass player urgently, so she asked her if she could learn the bass so she did

Thundermother was never the same after they left glad they're still doing well for themselves as The Gems, the songs they did with Thundermother are great but this song hits harder than anything they did with Thundermother they continue to grow, burning the Thundermother outfits was a good touch
So a great track & an excellent choice for first release. The video is smart and well made. The guitar is a real change from your previous band 🎸 & I wasn’t once reminded of an old AC/DC Riff….. I think you’re going to be real popular….. not that it was ever in doubt… WELCOME BACK

I know everyone has their own style, but I like Mona's playing a lot better than Fillipa..uses more " stuff" from her guitar "kit" if that makes sense. Filipa is a good player but she plays too predictably on her songs.

i loved the donnas, they were a great band. they never got the attention they deserved. the timing wasn't right. if they came out in the 80's, they would have ruled
For me, Ice Age started the Swedish Metal trend in the UK but, VERY sadly, never made it to the big time - I hope The Gems get the credit they deserve and have a HUGE future

Holy Shitt!!! Love!!!! You see, girls like this can't fake being rock like Miley Cyrus or Demi Lovato. They actually are part of the authentic hard rock metal club. Clearly they grew up listening to the good stuff. Kiss, Cheap Trick, ACDC, Nugent, Maiden, Priest...I'm just guessing but they HAD TO HAVE listened to the good stuff from 70's early 80's
no doubt in my mind, they got their phd from rock and roll university. they bring it loud, they bring it fast they came to straight up kick your ass we thought it couldn't get no better but now they got it all together they bring the rock, like no other cause now they're free from thundermother
