  • As summer approaches, we have many reasons to celebrate in our community starting with July 4th. We want to encourage you and your family to be safe and make good choices when you celebrate.
As a reminder, fireworks are illegal in Fort Worth.
They are dangerous because of the potential for damaged property and can also cause stress and anxiety to veterans, children and pets.
Besides being illegal, did you know that having or setting off fireworks can result in a fine of up to $2,000?
And remember, what goes up, must come down. Any celebratory gun shots can result in jail time.
Please do not call 9-1-1 to report fireworks.
Instead, call the fireworks hotline at 817-392-4444.
Or report online using the MyFW App (Apple and Android available)
    or report online using www.reportfireworks.fortworthtexas.gov
Download the FREE MyFW app on Apple store and Google Play Store.

How long does it take to investigate a video, pictures and otherwise involving the vicious beating of Carolyn Rodriguez? Matthew Krueger should be charged with attempted murder. The mayor of this city is an embarrassment.
