- A Happy New Year and all the Best for 2016 to Everyone on RUclips. This is one of the best Electric Guitar Solos ever played by Ritchie Blackmore. I used my old American Standard Strat with Floyd Rose and newly equipped with a set of Hot Noiseless Fender Pickups for the Recording.

Fantastic! Not so much a lesson, more of a cover, but none the less not bad!
Of all the versions, I like this version. The way the whole video is focussed on the fretting and strumming hand, is absolutely wonderful.

With what pedal board pedals or with what program and settings?

Hi Dan, it's the Strat directly played into a Marshall JVM 205 C, recorded with a Neumann TLM 103 into Cubase, Interface UR-44. Some reverb and light compression is added in Cubase.

+maupric No, the solo is the original played by Ritchie Blackmore during the Machine Head Sessions released as B-Side of "Never Before". He never played it again like this.
You changed it too much in my opinion. Original tones are great
