I've been waiting years for Apocalypse diamond select. All the way back to when this line started. If they made him years ago Apocalypse wasn't at any of my stores. I'm talking between 2005-2010. I will definitely be buying Apocalypse. In the late 90's Apocalypse's 10 inch figure the meteaor power Apocalypse his pipes you have the option to remove.
I got this Apocalypse about 2 months ago… looks great… bigger than I expected… great for the price… luckily I wouldn’t be posing him much so the pipes on his back are not an issue… worth the wait
I really like this figure. I gave him a hot water bath and everything seems to move a bit better, even the tunes.
Outstanding. I hope they have a Mr. Sinister in the works as well.
I like the look of the Diamond Select one the best. THe proportions and color scheme reminds me a lot of the X-men VS Street FIghter game.
And that drill accessory is wicked.
THe pipe is just what it is for these kind of character designs. In theory you can swap it with a soft plastic or something more flexible.Maybe a bendy straw.
My local store is pricing this Apocolapse a bit more than usual. Not sure if there was a price increase but it's a bit more than what I expect.
I wish the pipes could be removed that would help a lot
Wonder if the pipes would get softer if soaked in hot water or something. Another thing I might do is remove them all together and replace em with some rubber hose from Canadian tire or home depot or wherever. Maybe even thin ribbed wiring loom would work better, or maybe even just attach them to the back of his shoulders instead of his back so the entirety of the cables are on the arms.
No more articulation hindering that way.
You should try heating up the tubes. Maybe that will make them a little more flexible. Just a suggestion. Great review
That same hand fell out of position in the packaging on mine as well. 😂This figure has good detail and scales well with Marvel Legends
I got this one at my local comic shop on Monday I'm loving it but between this and the last Legends retro card one I don't know which I like better 🤷
the hose is quite bendable on itself and I have no problems with them stretching together with the arms. they are a bit stiff but still bendable
This marvel select Apocalypse is cool! I said to myself, not opening the box. Yeah right. I'll just buy another one.

I just got mine honestly is no what I was expecting
the head sculpt looks lifelike. somewhere between animated and statue. its actually good looking if you got the figure in hand. my only gripe is no alternate head. they could have taken out the mace. lol. and yeah size.. could have been 12 inches. 😅

I really liked this review, I was definitely looking at this figure on Amazon and was considering getting it but Idk now, kinda wish the hands and the attachments had some way to lock them into place and have a click sound so you know they are locked, so they don’t just fall out that easily and also the wires should have been made more like a bendy plastic up till both ends and the ends of the wires had the same lock system as the hands and attachments.

Try the head swap! Completely changes the Select one with the smaller ML head.
EE seems to have lost mine, well FedEx I should say. Shipped last week and no updates since. Great looking figure back t I like the Hasbro cartoonish look too. Love the Mike Patton reference lol he's a singin' sob.😊
I’d say you need to find something to replace the piping that’s flexible and same gauge then modify him because his aesthetic blows those other versions away. I’m not sorry either lol it’s straight facts

My only gripe like yourself Kyle is with the tubes. They should have been flexible and not completely stiff.

I'm playing the long game cause I had my issues with the look and mobility he had and you proved some of my issues in your great veiw so I think it's going to be a pass. I do hope we get maybe a re release baf of apocalypse since it's a x men anniversary yr
I'm torn on keeping the original head, or investing in a Marvel Legends Retro Apocalypse to use his extra head for this

Yeah the Pipes are not well made for him but i like the look and all the weapons he is coming with.

Just not a fan of that line and the groggy legs kill me on him. I actually prefer the early 90s toy biz to it
The new one is the best of what you show there. The two old ones are shiny and or derpy looking trainwrecks and the retro carded one is nice but animated series colors. That was one of the poorest quality shows ever in regards ti every metric, but it is a great figure so they beed to repaint it to make it more like this new one. The Select fig is unbelievably perfect. The old BAF version may still best one though. He is painted right, looks more like this new one and the size of it is a thing of Uuuuh….Legend(s)? ……..
At first I was on the fence on getting another apocalypse fig. I already have 2 bafs. One from Toybiz, and the other from the more recent hasbro release. I also have the AOA Apocalypse, so I really had to to think about this a lot before I pre-ordered it. Nevertheless, I'm a fan of MS, because of the detailed sculpts of their figs. So I went and got him. He came in yesterday with the Super Skrull, and I'm happy with both figs. I only wish Apocalypse was slightly bigger, other than that, I'm quite satisfied with him.

Totally excuseable. You just plug them back in. It's made that way.
Cool figure. I got one coming. The pipe coils popping out is a killer annoyance. They should have glued the coils in the figures forearms. Not put hole plugs in the interchangeable pieces.
