Well if you look up the top 25 Disinformation tactics or tools you will find The Strawman Argument way up there. The Strawman is where you take a potentially weak part of your opponents argument or even manufacture a weak facet then you argue against this sliver of their argument as if it is their entire argument. This is a Disinformation tactic so people who use these tactics are not interested in growing and deepening their understanding. They want to prevent others from gaining greater clarity and understanding. They are trying to muddy the water and keep weaker minds in their thrall. This is so indicative of the Main Stream Media today. Though I prefer to call them the Globalist Media because the underlying agenda they serve.

I'm actually astounded at the sheer moral bankruptcy of Malcom Gladwell. He spent all of his time taking personal shots; fabricating strawmen; making sweeping, baseless accusations of racism; the sheer condescension; fishing for laughs with the audience - frankly, it was deplorable. And then complete ineptitude with addressing simple points and questions.
I'm not sure why I expected so much more from him, but... wow, I certainly know what to expect from him in the future.

Just to note, Murray's book about Northern Ireland is called "Bloody Sunday: Truths, Lies and the Saville Inquiry" and it is excellent

I’ve seen Malcolm Gladwell pull the same act before in another debate. Someone referred to an earlier era and he went on the same rant, basically accusing his opponent of being a racist just the way he did here. He’s clearly disingenuous and can’t debate, so he uses tricks instead.
I am horrified that we live in a world where 33% of the audience could sit through that debate and still side with Malcolm.
Perhaps it’s a fallen world, as christians would say.

As a Canadian, I'm so glad he brought up the Trucker protest. That whole event displayed the evil nature of the media and their ability to spin stories in real time.
Undoubtedly the media in Canada were absolutely awful in covering the protest in Ottawa focusing on a very small groups of idiots and rednecksand making them as the examples for the rest of the protesters. Jack Todd a member of the media for the Montreal Gazette (he certainly wasn't the only one) posted a number of anti-trucker tweets calling them facists misogynists knuckle dragging unedcucated trump supporters. Todd over the years would write some really far fetched stuff about politics but he went so far in one of his tweets (which he removed ) claiming what the FLQ did was not as bad as what the truckers did. I mean wtf????
According to Michelle Goldberg's characterization of the Trucker protests, they weren't about bigotry, they were just about stupid, lazy, and pathetic people who wanted to party together and do drugs; if these people can't characterize you as evil, they will characterize you as frivolous, at no point does it occur to them that you could actually have something valuable to say that never occurred to them... because to them, truckers are nothing but stupid people who need to be told what to believe by people like them.
I have rarely witnessed such a wholesome protest as the Trucker Protest. I hope that is the real spirit of Canada. I had a great time watching the live streams.

So 6/46 = is the meaningful percentage, or the "influence". 13% vs 82%.
